Yeah, I could also go for a Bobby Roode face turn. I thought it was going to happen just a while back before he sided with Team Dixie.
I have decided that I hate The Wolves. "Agh! We worked so hard for this!" "What?! You gotta be kidding me! "Man, we deserved this!"
Oh shut up, you've been there for about three weeks. I want the BroMans to beat the hell out of them. Buh-buh-buh-baaaaaaaam!
I'm not really sure what I think of the Beautiful People getting back together. On one hand, it was pretty good the first time 'round, but it also makes me think that about 7-8 years after they first showed up, TNA has gone almost nowhere. TNA's storylines don't just come from the Lost Island, but the company itself seems to reside there because no matter what they try they can't seem to get anywhere, and even if they do they end up back on the Island sooner or later.

I did attempt to watch last week's show (the April 17th episode), but Dixie interrupted the opening segment and I was like "why the fuck is Dixie on this show? Didn't she lose a loser-leaves-town match just a few weeks ago? You know what, I don't fucking care". I think watching Wrestle-mania has broken TNA for me, I seriously can't be bothered with it at the moment.

I was watching it this past Thursday and thinking the same thing V. I was just noticing how UNepic Tna is and thinking about how the streak was broken at mania after over 20 years and dan Bryan had a nice year long payoff and I couldn't help to notice that tna invests in NOTHING. One thing that has made wwe so successful is they plant seeds and let them become trees in the sky. Tna plants seeds and sets off a hurricane as soon as their plants start sprouting. The storylines sucks, they give us zero reason to give a shit about anyone, and their stories have more wholes than Swiss cheese.
What gets me too is, they did a bit with Anderson going to Sam Shaw's family's house and meeting his mom and his moms name happened to be Christie, and it turned out Sam still lives there with his mom and I thought, this is great. But, they ARE going to fuck this up. It's not even a matter of IF anymore. This storyline will start becoming really awkwardly funny and they can take it to all kinds of levels. But in 3 weeks, Sam shaw will prob be face and Anderson will prob be jobbing to Kenny king. NOTHING they do makes any fucking sense from a business standpoint.
This brings me to creating stars and capitalizing on it. when you really let Anderson take the ball and run, he has the ability to turn chicken shit into gold. You know how the "window of opportunity" opens up for that small period of time, you see the potential to make something happen, and you jump on it and take a risk on that guy(make an investment). Well, the Anderson window has been WIDE FUCKING OPEN on and off for 3 damn years now! They've had so many opportunities to make him the face of the company, and a legit one too. This is a guy that hung in with the undertaker and Batista and did a good job at it too. I think Anderson just had really bad luck in wwe and got lost. But he got to tna, his experience kicked in and he just really let loose and he's been great. This poor guy can't catch a break. But if he was this consistent and on point in wwe the way he is in tna, he would be a huge star right now. That's my point. Instead, he's a really entertaining guy that gets really over with the crowd and they do nothing about it!
I think I may just have to take impact off my DVR. I really just don't need my time wasted with it anymore. It is complete garbage. The best thing that could ever happen to them is just putting an end to it. It's like they're trying to take a big piece of shit out of the toilet and hoping it will somehow turn back into a decent piece of meat that was once devoured. It's beyond repairable. Everyone is stale. Their newer stars are getting "put over" by guys who have been ruined already...the whole thing is just a complete mess.

Not only do the storylines suck Champ, but the actual wrestling has been really poor lately as well. It's unfair to compare matches on weekly TV with matches at the biggest PPV in the industry, but that Daniel Bryan vs Triple H match was SO much better than anything Impact has offered this year. The reason I thought that match was so much better than the main event is because it was pretty much straight, they didn't rely on props and effects. Don't get me wrong, they used the props and effects really well in the main event, but in this day and age I'm more impressed if a match can suck me in without (which is why Undertaker vs Michaels is such a classic).
If TNA were delivering matches even 1/4 as good as that regularly, I'd be happy. Instead their title matches have all been Magnus Specials. I thought they were setting something up with Dixie offering Roode 10% of the company, but not only did they have the Face team win (fair enough), but they brought Dixie back! What was the fucking point! Abyss is back. They're doing the Beautiful People again. I mean, Christ, change the record already. I'm not saying it's all bad, but there's just not enough quality or quantity to make me want to spend 90 minutes watching.

Well that's another thing for me. Tna used to pride themselves on "great matches" to the point where they used to overproduce. I honestly was never crazy about tnas match style, even at their best. Their matches lack psychology, almost always. It's as if their matches are telling us, look what kind of condition our guys are in and look at how many moves they know. Yeah, that's great. But I would appreciate it if they actually slowed the pace down at times, not for the entire match but, take a minute, give a look, tell a story with your facial expressions. But, at least they seemed to try hard before. The feeling I get now is this company sucked the life out of every performer and they don't even care to be there anymore
God I hate this company

Okay, so I watched this week's episode in preparation for the Upcoming Stupidity mentioned in the spoiler thread, and I didn't think it was a bad effort. This was the first episode of Impact in aeons that didn't have a 20-minute yakfest. Everything moved along at a decent pace and the Main Event at least delivered a good match. Also Spud and EC3 are GOLD. Knux's missus is pretty hot.
Although
15 seconds into the show:
BULLY RAY USING SPRAY PAINT!!! WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT???
Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid? Because TNA is stupid. What a ridiculous thing to go batshit haywire over.
Oh also, Angelina mentioned the TNA Board of Directors backstage, which I was definitely going to be mentioning as stupid in this post, until she revealed that she made it all up. That almost felt like a meta-swerve directed specifically at me. TNA turns people face by making EVEN-MORE-obnoxious heels. "Gail Kim was a Bad Guy, but look at these two, they're even worse! Therefore, cheer Gail now mannattees!"

I totally agree that the actual wrestling has gone drastically downhill. Then again, when I think about it, it has been going that way for quite a while. Those classics with Joe, AJ and Daniels were almost 10 years ago now. Yep, we're old.
As for the recent shows it seems the guts have been ripped out of the company. When Kaz came out this week and went to shake Daniels' hand and Daniels wasn't there I just sort of shook my head. Not only did it signal the end of one of the few good things TNA had going for it in recent times, but it pretty much symbolised how the company has lost much of its appeal and talent in recent months.

"Is this some kind of a joke" - Taz When Kaz came out this week and went to shake Daniels' hand and Daniels wasn't there I just sort of shook my head. Yeah, that was a bit of a bummer. Even though I read the spoilers to this week's episode, I guess I must have missed that MVP cancelled Eric's match against Roode. They spent 15 minutes setting something up, and the very next scene, they told us it wasn't going to happen. So that opening 15 minutes was a COMPLETE waste of time. That's 15 minutes of my life I'm never getting back. Stupid company. Brittany's "pledged her allegiance" to Madison. Uh oh. Watch out, Madison. Good god that match was an abortion. Only TNA would book an evening gown match... in 2014... and then have it go 45 minutes... and book a screwy finish with a retard ref. Stupid company. EC3 seeing Kurt was hurt and going straight for the kill was good stuff though. Gotta admit I did laugh a lot at Dixie's receptionist wearing a "Bully fears Dixie" shirt. I think that is how TNA Headquarters might look in Wrestling Lost. It's a shame Rockstar Spud isn't a foot taller because he is far and away the best thing in wrestling right now. The Menagerie looks pretty cool, it helps that we know Knux can go in the ring. Having a sincere backstory (he's gone back to his roots, trying to save the family business yadda yadda yadda) to god damn clowns literally is kinda neat actually. I'm going to have to say this is a good swerve. And sorry Renee, Rebel is the new #2. Holy fuck that girl is HOT.

Apparently, I just read that Daniels is in fact gone from TNA....*sigh* can you blame him?
I don't know, I just can't seem to enjoy anything about tna today. You just feel it when you watch it that it's just a miserable dark place to be right now. At least pre hogan and even the hogan era, you can feel that there was an effort. Even if the storylines were crack and there was bullshit going on, the effort and, more importantly, the passion was there. You can see that, even though they didn't stand a chance, they damn sure as hell were going to try. Now, it is just a funeral

I think Kazarian is gone too, only he had a couple more appearances jobbing to the freaks before leaving. The heart really has been ripped out of the company.
I have also been enjoying EC3 and Spud recently, especially Spud. I couldn't be bothered with him when he was Dixie's lapdog every week, but with Dixie not around as much I have started appreciating him a bit more. I can't really think of anything else that is good at the minute though.

"I think Crazy Steve may be the most normal person in the building" - Tenay
What a fitting end to Kazarian's decade of TNA service.
You know, the more I think about it the more I can understand what TNA are trying to do with their roster purge. These guys - Styles, Daniels, Kaz, Hernandez, Matt Morgan, the list goes on, have been around for a really long time now and TNA is still in the same stupid place as it was 5 years ago. Whenever they cut those awful "we built this city" promos, you don't think, "wow, good job guys" you think "fuck, has it really been 10 years? And things still suck? I feel old". They've obviously decided that the core they are going to build around is Eric, Roode, Storm, Aries, Jeff Hardy, Magnus & EC3. And a few others I'm probably forgetting. Those are the guys. Bully, Anderson and Abyss are going to be veteran hands. That's a fairly solid roster to supplement with up-and-comers (such as Gunner) and prospects (such as Samuel Shaw) and projects (Knux) and entertaining jobbers (Spud and the Bro-Mans). They only have 2 hours a week to fill.
My main complaint with Bad Influence is that they should have put The Wolves over in a proper feud before leaving. I'm not even saying I like The Wolves. But at least we would have got some good matches before they left. That seems like a missed opportunity.
I'm also not saying that TNA are going to be any good at executing this new strategy, because they won't be. So although it sucks that all these guys are leaving, I think it's for the best in the long run.

Yeah, I don't blame TNA at all for cutting their big earners loose. They haven't really progressed as a company in any significant way in years, so they might as well save some money and try some new guys out. It's just that, right now anyway, the stuff they are doing and the new guys they have aren't really creating much interest. And they should have known better years ago not to squander so much money on the likes of Hogan and Bischoff and attempting to start another wrestling war by competing with Raw.
On a more positive note I do really like Bram. He sorta reminds me of the Richard character from Dead Man's Shoes.
Who wants to bet Brittany joins the Beautiful People and we get BPs v Gail, Madison and ODB until the end of time. Or until the end of TNA.

Bram was actually in the ascension in NXT. He was konnor's(the rat) partner before viktor took over. He was actually totally gay in that group. He's definitely better as Bram.
It's good that most of the tna originals are gone. But here's the thing, is it better for tna, or is it better for them? At this point I'm going to say it's good they all got out while they did. It's like a double edged sword. The company started to suck with them and it sucks worse without them

Man, we're talking about saving money, get rid of all them - Velvet, Angelina, Madison, Brooke - and bring in some cheap new blood and see who sinks or swims. I really am sick of all them. You know what is really hilarious, seeing as this is TNA? A Hostile Takeover angle would be really fresh and interesting... if it was an all-woman affair.

Oh Brittany is SO joining the beautiful people. Why? Because it's a god damn predictable "swerve". Wwe gets on my nerves at time but tna is just unwatchable all together. I'd rather jump off a bridge than say something good about this show
