Thats a good point about sting MS. I heard he did in fact sign a legends contract with wwe so it appears he's apparently done. So, WHY didn't Magnus win clean?! That's one thing you can always count on wwe being good for. They don't care how big of a name, if you're leaving, you're jobbing clean! I can't honestly recall a time where I guy was leaving or retiring and he "got screwed". It was always a clean loss, as it should be
Magnus beat AJ clean? You mean like how bray Wyatt beat d bry clean? Come on now that's just stup....actually that would've made Magnus more of a credible champ! Tna sucks

TNA Impact BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
Yeah, I guess that could qualify as a gentle swerve. Although, this is TNA, so having gone through all that, a Heel Turn is even more likely.
I'm sure Borash said something to the effect of "This is the building's biggest wrestling event in its history... it just opened". Borash filled in nicely for Taz, is what I'm saying.
Hey, this is TNA, so it's not a Casket it's a Coffin. Next week, we'll see TNA's latest Character: The Mortician, and his manager The Coffin Carrier. And the week after that, The Stone. Can you sniff what The Stone is stewin'? Also, that COFFIN looked big enough for Anderson but not big enough for Bully. Seeing as the only way to win is by putting your oponent in the coffin, that would be a pretty smart way to... oh shit, I've ruined next week's Coffin Match, haven't I.
Let's all plug fucking Twitter during a deadly Monster's Ball match. Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid? They seriously couldn't leave that till a less Theoretically Life-Threatening, Therefore Theoretically Suspensful moment of the show? I'm sure I saw Dixie and Spud run for cover when Bully wheeled the COFFIN past them backstage too. I think I've been moaning about simple presentation shit like this for years (like they way they cut away from new champions after 3 seconds).
I was sceptical about MVP at first, but he cut a decent promo with a lot of energy, so I'm willing to give him a shot. But holy fuck, this power struggle better not last all year with a million segments and promos. In fact, pretty much the only way I can tolerate all this corporate intrigue bullshit is if it is setting up Bobby Roode to do the Can't Be Bothered With This Shit gimmick and kill EVERYONE. I would be down for that. They seem to be teasing it.
I think I need to reiterate a point I made a few weeks back: the shittiness of TNA matches lately is really starting to bug me, especially with all the incessant talking. Has it been 3 matches per show the last couple of weeks? And they're yapping about paper champions as if it's new - it's been paper champions for over a year now (Magnus, Sabin, Bully), ever since Hardy and Aries were fighting for it. I am losing patience.

I mean, if you were planning for Bully to lose a casket match, you'd think they'd buy a cheap coffin large enough to put him in. You'd think.
Bobby Roode continues his descent into madness. It almost... it almost sounds like... the shit he encounters at TNA... it almost sounds like he can't be bothered with it any more?
Another one of these "matches to determine ownership of the company". It would be nice to think that MVP will get the job done and banish Dixie forever, but Dixieland has only been running for 5 months. That's at least 12 months shorter than the typical TNA authority angle. So I'm not optimistic. Because heaven forbid that we don't have people tussling over control of wrestling companies. Can't these assholes think of some other angle to run? Like the wrestlers all start succumbing to a zombie curse or something? Or having a diverse roster of talent, each with interesting personalities, who clash in exciting and unpredictable ways?
edit: also, Velvet (who was looking seriously hot in this week) kicking Sabin in the knee (first) was the smartest thing she's ever done

I watched impact tonight and it was actually....pretty damn decent! A lot of shit was done surprisingly well, I have to say.
They got me invested in Gunner the whole episode with his backstory to the point where I went from just expecting him to get screwed to thinking, "shit I hope he actually wins now". When gunner pulled both briefcases last week I figured ok, they officially must have pulled the plug on Storms heel turn and they will just blow off Gunners world title briefcase next week with a typical Dixieland screwjob. But then they did the whole backstory with his family, which was really cool and made me really appreciate the guy and want him to get a break tonight
Then I started thinking Bobby Roode might have been spitting bullshit to storm only to pull an "aha" moment on everyone that would've just been lame and typical.
So, with all of this going on I was just hoping roode wasn't pulling some stupid 5 min swerve and gunner wasn't going to get pushed off the turnbuckle by spud and Magnus hits his finisher or something.
When storm got in the ring and threw spud out of the ring during the title match, right when gunner was about to fly off the top rope, it hit me that moment, fuck storm is gonna super kick him! Lol I was actually upset when it happened too and I didn't really see it coming most of the night because they added in other factors that threw me off. Tna got me to really want to see gunner win and then they just had storm fuck it all up.
But here's the thing, that was a very well done screw job. It wasn't a "fuck you here's another swerve and heel turn just because, well, fuck you" screwjob. A lot of little factors played into different possible outcomes and predictions. Storms heel turn was done excellently. It was built up right and they did it in a way that's going to get him massive heat while having Gunner win over our hearts on the same token.
On a side note I enjoyed the creepy stuff with Sam shaw too.
I also realized Eddie Edwards bothers me. He has a DH smith thing going on. Davey Richards seems like what Naitch said, kind of like a Benoit/dynamite kid. It's funny because Davey Richards kind of reminds me of Austin Aries too
Joe beating up all the guidos was mildly entertaining. It was a good way to make him look more than ready for a world title shot. To me this was kind of the equivalence to Batista destroying a bunch of jobbers like 3mb before a big title match. It never hurts having a number one contender blow through a few clowns in a handicapped match to look ready for his title shot
MVP is borderline annoying. But he brings a fresh feel to the company and it needed that so desperately so, I can roll with it for now
All in all, best impact I've seen in months, easily. Finally a quality written show. FINALLY lol

They got me invested in Gunner the whole episode with his backstory to the point where I went from just expecting him to get screwed to thinking, "shit I hope he actually wins now". Yeah, I enjoyed this week's show. I agree they did a good job building up Gunner, they should do more vignettes like this (rather than BLAH BLAH BLAH) so we get to know these guys. I'd also like to see a low-key vignette for an over-the-top gimmick character. Like Willow showing us his umbrella collection while regaling us of tales from whatever planet he was from. That was also the least amount of people interfering in a Magnus World Title Match: 7. Bobby Roode losing his mind with having to deal with TNA bullshit is rapidly becoming my favourite thing in wrestling. It just works on so many levels. I've got a feeling that Dixie telling Roode to get HIS lawyers to write the contract is going to be a major plot point after the PPV. Either that or having 10% ownership makes him the deciding vote in the MVP/Dixie struggle. It made me laugh, Sam carried off Kristy inert body and nobody gave a shit. Wrestling is funny. I think it would have made sense for the commentators to not mention it at all rather than sound completely bored with an unconscious woman being carried off by a psychopath. Oh, also, EC3 telling Magnue that "you LITERALLY threw me to the wolves" was a funny line. For a company that doesn't know what "checkmate" or a "dichotomy" is, throwing out a correct usage of "literally" was pretty impressive.

Yeah, I agree Impact was pretty good this week. I was pottering about for some of the episode, just listening to bits, but when it was main event time I made sure I gave it my full attention. The clips of Gunner really did set the match up well, and even though I never actually thought he was going to avoid Storm's boot and actually win the match, I was totally into it.
Bobby Roode was good again. I'm not too sure what direction they are going to take after the PPV, but I would be all for a face Bobby Roode running Dixie out of town.
I knew Eddie Edwards reminded me of someone. DH Smith. LOL. Spot on, Champ. He's got that soft, smiley, doughy and punchable face. EC3's thrown to the wolves line was funny.
I also laughed at the commentators' reactions to Samuel Shaw. He'd already murdered that guy, knocked Anderson and Christy out cold, and helped himself to Christy's limp and unconscious body. Mike Tenay says, "What's the deal with this guy?" like he was mildly perturbed by him and nothing more. By the way, Champ referred to him as "Sam Shaw" in his post and V quoted Champ in his post. His name is Samuel Shaw, and both of you are now going to die at his hands.
So that Willow thing actually is Jeff Hardy. Is he twelve years old? What the hell is this thing supposed to be. Is he going to come back in a faction with Black Reign and Rellik?

For some reason I am actually looking forward to willow the wisp! I guess it's because this is the first time we are going to see Jeff Hardy do something other than Jeff Hardy. He's been kind of one dimensional his entire career. Jeff's been getting stale too so I don't oppose this at the moment. Jeff is actually doing what RVD should've done 5 yrs ago

If you approach Impact as the "what stupid bullshit is Bobby Roode going to have put up with this week?" show, then it's a lot more appetising. Oh, his ref turned heel this week. Sure, whatever.
I was thinking this week that Magnus is a pretty good promo these days. I'm mildly tempted to create a Sporcle quiz where you have to guess all the people that have interfered in Magnus World Title matches. It's not like putting the next one in a cage is going to reduce the usual number of climb-ins.
Man, I KNEW they were going to pretend EC3 is still undefeated. Hey, remember when he won the Tag Team FOF Suitcase? Yeah, what happened to that? Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid?
I like Samuel Shaw's theme music. I've gotta say that Anderson interrupted at the exact point where I was starting to cringe. Also, bluntly telling him to stop being creepy was a pretty effective way to pull this back from the abyss. So well done Anderson, I guess. I don't trust wrestling companies to pull off the kind of character Shaw is doing, and anyway I think implying stuff is more effective than doing some dumb "edgy" corspe-humping bullshit. Oh wait, they did that last week, kinda.
On a similar theme, Taz was really going overboard with the misogyny in the knockout match.
I also like that Storm is not half-assing his heel turn. Not a good idea to rag on Gunner's war past in the UK, that stuff will work better in the States.
For the record, I'm also looking forward to Willow. Another "working for TNA has driven me crazy" angle.

Gah, I just can't be bothered with another bloody 'Control of the Company' match. I know this one isn't as bad as some of the others, but they've had me in a Company Power Struggle Angle Lock for about five years. I thought I was about to reach the ropes when Aces and Eights blew up but Dixieland and MVP pulled me back to the middle of the ring and I'm beginning to think about tapping.
Ah... I do like how the Gunner - James Storm feud is going.

Gah, I just can't be bothered with another bloody 'Control of the Company' match. Maybe watching TNA Impact for so long has made my brain melt, but... I don't actually think we're supposed to care about the control of the company - at least, not between Dixie and MVP. It feels like there is a vaguely Animal Farm-esque thing going on, where we're supposed to be caring about the supporting players (Roode, Aries, the Wolves, Willow, EC3) navigating their way through this thing, and seizing control themselves and turfing out Dixie AND MVP. That could be an interesting angle if they do it right. Having complained about the shittiness of TNA matches lately, I've gotta say I enjoyed the Elimination match a lot. Just as well, because there was a whole lot of jack shit going on this week.

It was a couple of weeks ago now, but James Storm messing up Gunner's dad with a beer bottle was hilarious.
Also, unless they are planning on having Magnus as a long term champion who, somewhere along the line, starts to ditch all the sidekicks and gain some respect by winning on his own, I have no idea what they are going for with him.

I just watched last nights impact. This fucking show is just unwatchable at this point. It's just a piss poor product and it makes NXT look like attitude era raw. I was bored by EVERY segment. How is that possible?

Eric Young winning the title was a good moment this week. I hope they do a better job with his title reign than they did with Magnus'. Although I won't be surprised if Magnus wins it back straight away in a rematch.
I knew it was coming, but when Spud went to answer that knock on the door and Willow stormed in and destroyed the place, I got a good laugh.
Mr Anderson springing out the back of that Funny Farm van was also funny.

I actually watched impact this week, only because I like wrestling. Impact has just gotten so bad while wwe totally improved. But I am just a sucker for giving shit a chance.
I appreciated James Storm repackaging himself more as an actual wrestler. I don't know if that's the first time he's come out like that because I missed a lot of stuff since his heel turn. But, It works for him because he's not coming out in his cowboy hat and drinking beer anymore. It's telling us he's done fucking around.
I'm sorry but, I can't help being bothered by Bully Ray being a face now. That's the fucking problem with this company. They go through all this shit to get a guy over as the baddest nastiest heel, then as soon as they are done, they just fucking turn him. How long has bobby roode been heel now, 2 1/2 yrs? I think that's the longest run without a change I've ever seen. With that said, Eric young is totally due to turn heel and the Bromans are due to turn face. What are they waiting for? it's been a full couple of years.
Mr Anderson can be really funny when you put him with the right guy. You're here for your commitment, to the freakin funny farm. He's the perfect face for a guy like shaw.
Like MS mentioned, I totally see Eric youngs title reign ending at their rematch. It's like tna rewards their hard workers then gives the title right back to their guy. They have no idea how to build up and have a guy chase it. They're just all over the place. Ironically Eric young is more relevant than Magnus.
I liked the willow stuff too. I likes how he went crazy in spuds locker room and I liked that promo he cut. It actually didn't feel like Jeff Hardy being willow. It actually felt like it was a crazy creature named willow cutting a promo.
Brittany is some piece of ass
This show was a little better than last week but it's just not in a good spot right now. It desperately needs new management
