Yeah, I like the idea of a brand split, but only if they do it properly. I just hope they have put some thought into it and don't go changing things about after a few weeks and turning the concept into an ongoing mess. And while I think a brand split can work, I don't like the idea of RAW or Smackdown only PPVs again. Some of the PPVs when they did that were awful.
The backstage interviews should be put on TV. How much time do they waste every week showing the same old entrances, running the same video packages, showing us highlights of what happened 45 minutes ago to set up a match which is going to happen in another 45 minutes, etc. Instead of 3 minutes of the Usos coming to the ring, or Stephanie and Shane talking about what they should do on the show tonight, I'd rather get a deeper insight into Kevin Owens' mind through those types of interviews.
Also, why are they still trying to destroy everything else so that Roman Reigns might happen? Not that I mind him going over in the AJ feud, but they seem to be doing their best to make Rollins a bad guy when people want to cheer for him. And will cheer for him anyway. What I want to happen at the PPV is Seth comes close to beating Reigns early in the match a couple of times, but Reigns hangs in there until Seth tires (out for 6 months) and Reigns slowly beats him down and only finishes him after a lot of unnecessary punishment. A bit like Ziggler vs Del Rio from a few years ago. This seems like a perfect opportunity to pull off a double turn and end the experiment with Roman as a face. I bet after a year as a heel the fans would eat up a face turn again providing they do it right, but it just isn't working right now.
Oh, and Brock is going back to the UFC for a fight. I get the feeling they might feed a jobber to him, but it would be interesting to see him get smashed and come back for SummerSlam just a few weeks later.

Also, why are they still trying to destroy everything else so that Roman Reigns might happen? Mysteries of life I guess. I'm kinda torn on this one, because like you said, the audience wanted to cheer Seth and yet they push against the tide because it gets in the way of Roman being #1 Face. On the other hand, Seth was a heel when he got injured and it sometimes baffles me why Heels magically become Faces just because they fucked off for a while. The #1 example being Triple H all those decades ago. I mean, if Seth was being smart he could have pandered to the crowd for a while and got them on his side just to get under Roman's skin and THEN done the "actually I'm still a Heel" promo a month down the line. I guess they keep these 3-minute promos off the main show because they want people to download the app or subscribe to the youtube channel or whatever, which just makes me wonder how much time they think we have each week for wrestling. To be honest WWE.com's stuff is more interesting than what they put on TV, so it's getting to the point where you'll get your story fix from that and just FFWD Raw/Smack/NXT to the matches you want to watch (or just the highlights even).

I can't keep up with their weekly TV shows, no way I'm gonna have time to watch their app or whatever. The PPVs are the only thing I never FFW. They preface each match with the main points before each match anyway.
The shows haven't been all that bad recently though. I have to admit, Dolph Ziggler kicking Baron Corbin in the nuts was one of the funniest things I have seen in WWE in a little while. That one will be in the 'Ow, My Balls' Hall of Fame one day.
The mid-card mix with Ambrose, Jericho, Owens, Zayn, etc the last few months was really good.
Gonna be interesting to see how things are a month or two after the draft. The roster is strong enough for it to work, so I'm hopeful.

They preface each match with the main points before each match anyway. That is true. You watch these old PPV matches on the network or other totally legal means and you get the run-down. I mean, you could probably take a week's worth of WWE (TV, websites, apps, youtube exclusives) and find a good hour of promos, interviews, behind the scenes, features and matches. However it's spread over a zillion hours of space, and nobody has the time to trawl through all that.

That's the kinda thing I want to see. They better not split the New Day up.
They didn't mention Roman Reigns at all on SmackDown so it seems they are going with Ambrose and Rollins for the PPV. I'm cool with that.

When was the last time a major wrestling promotion didn't have some sort of power struggle angle going on? I have a bad feeling that instead of Stephanie vs Shane on RAW now, after a while it will be Stephanie vs Foley and maybe Shane and Bryan bumping heads on SmackDown to a lesser extent.
If RAW starts on Monday with the Authority bringing out Roman Reigns as their new champion, then it's going to be such a let down. If it's fully heel Roman just doing his own thing, then I can get behind that.

I really enjoyed RAW last week. They made an effort to try some new things, or bring some old things back in the case of the jobber squash matches. Surprised Balor won, but I don't see him winning this Master of the Universe belt over Rollins. Still, having him go over Reigns clean as a whistle was funny.
SmackDown didn't hit the ground running as well as RAW did, but although the roster on SmackDown looks quite shallow, I'm looking forward to some of the angles they can go with. Heel Dolph and Ambrose could be good.

Lol. I don't mind the Orton - Lesnar stuff that much because the match was announced before the split, and they have to do something to build it. As long as they are the only two jumping over for now, I'm cool with it.
I just hope they don't expect the fans to care about the RAW vs SmackDown thing. Team Blue and Team Red. The fans are WWE fans. Nobody watching cares about the ratings of this show, or that show. All we want is entertaining wrestling shows.
I'm also not a big fan of having seperate championships for all divisions on the two shows. They should have contenders from one brand challenge the champions from the other brand from time to time. If they win, they take the title back to their show. It would give each show an opportunity to shake things up every little while.
Not seem much from the last couple of weeks, but the shows I have seen have been OK.

As long as they are the only two jumping over for now, I'm cool with it. Yeah, I'm not actually that bothered by it either, but it still amused me. I think if they had limited each GM to 15 picks each, and everyone else is a floating free agent (like Heath Slater), that would have solved a lot of problems. That way you split the Stars between the two shows yet have plenty of undercard opponents for everyone. That way the Stars have something to be fighting for: not putting on a good show might risk them losing their guaranteed roster spot (and implied extra $$$ entailed), while the Heath Slaters of the WWE have something to be fighting for: putting on a good effort might get them another match and another purse. Got a theory about that. The fact that they have such a dumb name for the Raw Title - and the fact that they're even acknowledging it to some degree - is making me think that this Brand Split isn't going to be a long-term project. Because unlike the last time each show had a champ, this time around the WWE Title is clearly THE title, and the Universal Title is an imitation. In 2 years time they can tell the network they tried making Smackdown a big deal, ratings probably won't be much improved, and they can combine the rosters again. One thing I have seen is that they seem determined to portray Becky as a complete loser. You'd think she'd be the Cena of Smackdown's shitty women's division. Take this angle with Eva Marie. I would bet money that when this match FINALLY happens, Becky is going to job to Eva.

The best thing to come out of the draft so far has been Heath Slater with his countless kids and above ground pool.
I am totally over this stuff with Brock Lesnar. At this point I wouldn't mind seeing John Cena beat him clean, pick him up and dump him over the top rope saying "get the fuck outta my ring!" I think a lot fans still enjoy it, but it's the same old crap over and over.
I'm watching SmackDown right now and Kane just chokeslammed a half naked milkman. LOL. Kane is the best for that sort of stuff.
AJ vs Cena at SummerSlam was really good. What made it even better was the right guy won.
I'm not sure if it has been this bad for a while and I've not noticed, but some of the crowds lately have been really annoying. That "You deserve it!" chant has jumped the shark and landed on another planet. They gave Sasha one for winning the title. When Daniel Bryan got the chant it made sense because he had been a wrestler for well over a decade and had a tough road to the top.
Sucks for Balor getting injured, but Owens as champ on RAW should be good. As long as it's not Authority Champ 2.0 with Triple H as his mentor.

That underwhelming match at Wrestlemania was the final nail in the coffin regarding my interest in Brock, although I was tired of his act before then. Then you find out that he was phoning it in because he was saving himself for an MMA match. Which he failed a piss test for. Whatever. Have AJ Styles or some pup in NXT get called up and beat him.
I mean, we could be just a week away from AJ Styles: WWE Champion. What a wacky place wrestling is in 2016.
I'm afraid I've got some bad news for you, Mastersnit.
I mean, the Shield isn't a thing any more. He offered one them of a Deal With The Devil, beat the other one for the WWE Title, and coincidentally the Brand Split has shunted the 3rd off to the other circuit. Job done! Don't have to worrry about them any more! I think that is where they are going with this.
And yeah, crowds suck with their dumb chants but WWE has brought this on themselves. Booking is so sterile these days that anyone with personality is a Face. The Internet doesn't help either, everyone is (to quote Champ, wherever he is these days) a backwards-ass butt-fucking internet critic wannabee these days.

I was sure Ambrose was going to win that match. When AJ kicked him in the nuts I couldn't believe they were actually going to do it. So happy for AJ!
Talking of MMA. I'm sure you at least heard about CM Punk. He fell into that takedown like the Shockmaster fell through that wall. Champ would have loved it. I hope he's doing OK.
Chris Jericho's heel run around 2009ish when he was an angry man in a suit was great and I don't think he will ever improve on that, but his angry man in a scarf character is getting close. I love it how he can interact with pretty much any of the younger crop of wrestlers and make it work.

Seems like a good enough excuse to dig this gem up again:
I have to give at least some kudos for CM Punk for deciding to do something, setting his heart on it, training for 2 years and then failing miserably. Fuck knows I couldn't be arsed to get in a cage for a fight.
I was sure for his first fight they were going to give him a hobo constantly checking on his bindle, but apparently that dude is a half-decent prospect. Former MMA Champion Brock Lesnar goes to WWE, jobs to John Cena. Former WWE Champion goes to MMA, jobs in the first round. Funny how that works out.
