That Rock appearance just shows how he is on another level to everyone else. He just rolls in and destroys everyone. The guy has a presence that can't be touched by anyone else the WWE have had since he left. It's just a pity his cousins are the Usos.
The "best for business" line is what I use to make sense of them having Reigns in the condendership match at the next PPV. They know the fans want to see him, even though the Authority don't, so they keep him near enough the title to provide hope to him and the fans, but far enough away to ensure that his chances of actually winning are slim to none. At this point he has to beat his best friend and Brock Lesnar. And even if he gets past that hurdle he has to beat the boss in the biggest match of the year where the boss will surely have the deck stacked in his favour.

Austin, Hogan, Cena (does mixed reaction count?) You can say that a lot of the second and third gen people are only there because of there parents, but Rock would have made it without his father and grandfather being who they are.

I guess you have just about convinced me of the logic of that. I think my only problem is that the match against the boss should be a Magnus Special, when in actuality it will be one of these 20-minute epics where Triple H will go toe-to-toe with him.

Yeah, I'm not meaning to sound negative about the current roster. Like you said, it's just that The Rock is one of a handful of guys to ever capture a crowd like he does.
8 more weeks until WrestleMania and I'm still not sure where they are going with a lot of angles. I'm beginnng to hope Ambrose drops the IC title back to Owens and they put Ambrose in the main event with Reigns and Triple H. I think Ambrose deserves it.
I wouldn't mind if they had a big NXT match at WrestleMania. Even if they put it on the pre-show. An NXT title defence, or a tag match, or something. Maybe Finn Balor can defend his title against newcomer Shinsuke Nakamura. I'd be down for that.

So how much of a bummer was that retirement segment with Daniel Bryan last week? I thought he handled it really well though. I still hoped that he was going to be fine and come back eventually, or maybe even go for one last match at WrestleMania, but it's better being safe than sorry I suppose.
I'm loving this stuff with Ambrose and Lesnar right now. The only advantage Ambrose has in this match is his iron chin, but will it crack before he can crack Lesnar or Roman. Triple H being in the main event is bad enough, so I'm thinking they need Ambrose as part of the main event at this point. People care about him much more than they care about Reigns.
Things are going well with AJ. The Jericho feud is good and I hope the Miz gets involved a little more too. Miz has been back to his best the last few months or so.
Does anyone else think that Becky Lynch is the best of the Divas Revolution trio? She is such a good face, can go in the ring and is good on the mic. Sasha is really good in the ring and has a good character but her promos aren't the best. And Charlotte seems to get worse every week. She has a good pregnant dogface and strut, but sometimes that is it. What I'm saying is, Becky should win the title at WrestleMania.

I actually think Becky is the best Diva on the main roster right now, just edged ahead of Paige for the moment. She got absolutely jack shit since being brought up (Charlotte had the Company push and Ric, Sasha had the Internet fanclub), and yet she got her opportunity only because of injuries to the others and hit it out of the park. I actually reckon that she could end up walking out of Wrestlemania with the title. Although I do have a sneaking suspicion that as soon as the bell rings at Fastlane that Sasha will immediately turn on Becky and all three of them will beat the everliving shit out of her. I was wondering if they might do a 4-way match for the title, HHH vs Reigns vs Brock vs Ambrose - how they would get there I don't know. I still think Reigns would win though. I can't really think of way for Reigns to not win the title without it killing his character, they've really booked themselves into a corner. Because I think HHH vs Ambrose for the title and Brock vs Reigns II is the more intriguing lineup for Wrestlemania. And yeah, total bummer about Dan, but at this point it is hardly a surprise. At least he got a Wrestlemania to call his own.

Does anyone else find the League of Nations hilarious? It's like they know they are stuck with a lame gimmick and are just having a laugh and making the best of it. Barrett and Sheamus constantly laughing at Rusev's promos is my favourite thing about the group.
Jericho has been doing a great job with AJ Styles. They had a few good matches and the tag team is going well.
Ambrose is in Stone Cold leading up to WrestleMania XIII mode. Getting his ass kicked but laughing and keeping coming back for more. I can't wait for his match with Lesnar. Pretty sure Ambrose is going to get destroyed, but he'll get his shots in and look good in defeat.
Why is R-Truth being so hard on Goldust? His two choices are A) be in a potentially successful tag team with Goldust B) do nothing and lose the occasional squash match Goldust is trying to do him a favour.

I thought they did something pretty subtle on this week's Raw. They put Shane in charge for the night, and he was barely to be seen. And I have seen criticism online about Shane not really doing anything. Wasn't that what we wanted? No more 20 minute HHH segments and the Authority making several appearances each show and doing this that and the other? Just let the wrestlers sort it out amongst themselves and only have the GM make decisions when it is actually needed (i.e. booking the main event). Seems like some people missed that point.

I LOVED that. He made a couple of quick decisions, and that was it. Brilliant. What the GM should be in my opinion. William Regal's current NXT GM run should become the template of what a GM is.

I like what they're doing with Reigns at the moment. There's no point pushing him like a super-babyface when he's being booed. It feels like they're hedging their bets by making him a tweener and seeing which way the audience is going to go with it (because if they just flat out turned him heel these same asshole will start cheering him). And he definitely is a tweener at the minute - if you hate him you can pick out things he says to justify the hate and if you like him you can do likewise.

It's good to have the Sexiest of the Sexy back. Miz and Maryse have been funny the last couple of weeks.
Does anyone else think Apollo Crews is funny looking? It's maybe because he is so thick but when he comes out on to the stage he looks kinda tiny. It's cool that they are making a big effort with the newer/younger talent. I just hope that come November we aren't back to Authority promos and John Cena vs Randy Orton main events.
Baron Corbin making Dolph Ziggler his pregnant dog has been kinda hilarious.
Owens and Jericho together are great.
I think Anderson and Gallows are setting AJ up. They will either simply cost him the win at the PPV or they will do so and join with Roman's Empire.

I just hope that come November we aren't back to Authority promos and John Cena vs Randy Orton main events. What else can they conceivably do with the Authority? Short of doing some dumb NWO-esque invasion with the NXT crew? I mean, they have all the players in place now if they wanted to do it. If they absolutely have to have HHH & Steph on TV then have them manage a stable if you must. I wouldn't even mind if HHH came back as a semi-regular competitor - I would be down with an AJ Styles match for example. But please, no more evil bosses. I like this intrigue, they've done a good job here. You'd think Anderson & Gallows joining Roman is a long shot, but you can't discount it entirely. I also think AJ is an excellent opponent for Roman, he'll make him look like a million bucks.

I would've loved to be in that creative meeting
Vince: what do we do now? Bozo #1: Face Authority Figure? Vince: nah Bozo #2: Heel Authority Figure? Vince: nah Somewhat less stupid bozo: How about we just not have authority figures? Vince: THAT'S IT! We'll have a Face Authority Figure AND a Heel Authority Figure! On the same show! Bozo #1, putting down crack pipe: Genuis, boss! Bozo #2: Sorry, what, I wasn't listening, I was distracted by this shiny shiny coin
Although that was some quality trolling by Ambrose on Steph last night. Maybe they'll get 90 minutes of the show each.

They have a 3 hour show and still don't have time for quality promos like the above.
Also I see the same old nonsense about how AJ Styles is being "buried". I think you could make a strong argument that he's had the best debut 6 months since Lesnar's original run. The Fed weren't interested in him for years and now losing PPV Main Events is a "problem".
And the Brand Split is coming back! Can't wait for "rare" appearances of Randy Orton on Smackdown! Also, in support of the split, they are allegedly doing 2 World Titles again, which is gay. The funniest thing is they're doing Smackdown live on Tuesday, up against Impact, so you could have AJ Styles as the Smackdown Ace who puts the final nail in TNA's coffin - a few years after getting the boot at that farcical World Title match against Magnus. Now THAT is a well-booked angle.
Seriously though, if they do the Split properly - which they won't - then a 2-hr Smackdown with a good roster could be an interesting prospect.
