We had a gig last night and we had to leave without playing. They had to change the show to 4 hours later and never told us which meant we wouldn't have gone on til like 2 - 2:30am. I'm sick of gigging. These stupid shitty city shows piss me off

You think the guys with the contract would have had a prime 10 PM slot or something.

Nothing is signed yet because we're still finishing the record. The reason that got put on hold is because my bass was fucked up for months and that was a huge part of our sound. But I finally fixed it last week and actually got some tracks done today. Thank God! You guys have no idea what we went through with this bass shit. But all that needs to be done is 3 bass tracks, 4 guitar tracks and 4 vocal tracks.
Some songs are mixed and ready. We'll have a total of 14 when we're done. That's what Universal is waiting on. But, from what I heard, they loved what they heard so far. They just can't distribute us without a real cd wrapped in a jewel case with a real cover and art work

My singer is one of those people that always tries to do things big and it sometimes leads to things being done too big to the point where it's not necessary.
First it was supposed to be 12 songs which I thought may be a little much but I was cool with it. Then we cut a few and we were down to 10 which I thought was perfect. Then we recorded 4 more to put on the album. I like the 4 new we recorded. I actually think 2 or 3 more should be cut from previous and released afterwards

My drummer and I decided to start a metal side project. I want it to be Killswitch Engagesque. Like along those lines of heavy. I'm going to be on guitar.

Do you have time for both? Karascene is a tight ass project so I'm just hoping to make sure I still get some of that goodness.

It's going to a be a Saturday afternoon hobby. Everything with Karascene is done during the week and our weekend shows are at night. My drummer and I were talking and we're both free Saturday afternoons so we're going to play then. Who knows, it may lead to a show or two

5 new mixes. They sound like shit because of the site I suggest to listen to Under The Weight and Dead Man's Hymn if you want to hear me just unleash on the guitar, especially the solos www.reverbnation.com/karascene

I'll take a listen sometime when I'm not the only one awake in the house.

My new band is rockin! It's called "Those Guys". It's hardcore metal but we got good grooves. It's kind of like Killswitch Engage meets Chimaira. I'm on guitar in this band. It's great because I'm shredding heavy riffs again. There's just a rush in playing that music. I always said hardcore is way more fun to play than to listen too

I think I'm getting old. I read hardcore and my ears said "NO YOUR GETTING OLD! Go listen to some nice smooth Simon and Garfunkle." Fuck my stupid ears.

I fell out of hardcore for a while and now I'm getting back into it again. I like it for the guitars and drums more than anything. If I want to hear good vocal melodies I listen to more rock and alternative
