Yeah thats exactly how that guy talks which is ok once or twice but he does it every time which makes him really annoying.
I like Russell Howard on that show(the young guy if you don't know his name), I watched one of his stand up shows and it was quite good. Oh yeah the Irish presenter guy is hella lame and should go away.

LOL! It's called Bo Selecta. GLF and I used to die laughing at that crap. It eventually became unbearably bad, for me at least, but there was plenty of really funny bits.
The bear was another popular character from that show.

And fuck Seinfeld. The dude isn't funny. The only reason people watched that show were George and Kramer. Even Elaine was funnier on that show. I always thought the unfunniness of Jerry Seinfeld was a clever running joke on that show. Like, these episodes in his life are funny, but when he gets on stage to do his stand-up he isn't funny. Kind of "you had to be there to appreciate it". When I found out Jerry Seinfeld was an actual stand-up comedian and actual people actually find his shit funny. Big shock. For me it detracts from the show that we're SUPPOSED to find the stand-up bits in the show funny. sorry, rant over.

Even though I love that show, I agree with both of you because Jerry really was the least funny character on that show. I think George was the best and Kramer was next. Even Newman was funnier than Jerry.
And as you said V, Jerry Seinfeld's role on the show is he's simply that unfunny clever joke that the show revolves around. It's one of those rare sitcoms where the star of the show isn't funny, it's everybody and everything around him that's funny. When you see those stories and experiences acted out and staged out, it's really funny but, Jerry on stage simply telling these stories as jokes are so hard to appreciate because they really are a lot of "you had to be there" examples.

I've neve seen Seinfield. However, talking about people who are painfully unfunny, yet for some reason some people do find them funny, I feel I have to mention Frank Skinner. I couldn't believe it when I found out he actually was a real comedian. I can't even explain how awful he is.

I couldn't believe it when I found out he actually was a real comedian. I can't even explain how awful he is. Seinfeld and Larry Sanders were shown back-to-back on BBC2 in the 90s, but you needed to consult the Oracle at Delphi to work out when exactly. Different days of the week, different times, sometimes at 9PM, sometimes at 2AM, getting cancelled for snooker. So I can understand why you've never seen it before. Both shows only really gained cult appeal in the UK. These days every third-rate US sitcoms finds a slot on a British channel. Frank Skinner used to be pretty funny. Not so much any more.

That was a bit like Oz, it would be on in the middle of the night on random days on channel 4.
Talking of channel 4, a few years back I used to stay up late on a wednesday, I think, and watch something called the "outside" zone. It was a weekly collection of short films and was really good. It did come at a price though, prior to it going on there was a double bill of Sex and the city. Regrettfully, I couldn't help but keep tuning in the next week to see what was happening and am/was a closet fan.

Also Larry David, the producer of Seinfeld, has that show "Curb Your Enthusiasm". That show is like Seinfeld in the sense where people think it's so dumb or people think it's brilliant. I actually don't care for that show. I prefer Seinfeld over it any day. Larry's character is like a perfect cross between George and Jerry. Afterall, George's character was written into Seinfeld based off of Larry David's real life personality so it's not a shock

I've caught like two eps of Curb your enthusiasm and parts were hysterical but the rest was dry. It was almost like you watched 28 minutes of show just for three funny parts.
