Much of the time, people tend to look for the negativity in things to discuss, but I have to say, WWE at the moment is terrific!
A new world Champion is always interesting and the way they executed it with Punk cashing in was just about perfect. I feel they may have bit the bullet a little quickly, maybe have RAW struggle to get a belt back, then after they fail again, Punk could have cashed in after building a few wins on RAW. However, I guess the fact that it was completely spontaneous and out of the blue made it work so well.
In fact the whole champions list on RAW is cool.
CM Punk as WHC.
Kofi as Intercontinental champion.
DiBiase and Rhodes as Tag Champions, who look to have the potential to be really good.
And Mickie, a deserving womens Champion.
I love the Jericho - HBK fued, too. I am so much on Jericho's side. Not only does it involve two great wrestlers and story-tellers, it also lays bare the sheer hypocrisy and stupidity of wrestling fans. It makes me laugh that, although everything Jericho says is the truth, and HBK is an unashamed hypocrite, the fans and still backing the wrong man. The fans are actually an integral part of the fued, and that's interesting.
Even if Orton was around, JBL is tha man right now as far as heels are concerned. I'm just sad they seemed to drop the Martial Law angle this week.
Big Red Retard flipping out is always a pleasure to watch. Especially when he wraps his hand around Michael Cole's chicken neck!
ECW is essentially nothing more than a developmental show, but the way they seem to be bringing the new guys in there and giving them the exposure is cool.
SmackDown should develop in the next while with some good storylines, too. There doesn't seem to be as much excitement as there is on RAW right now, but you can always count on SmackDown for a good match.
Having Triple H on the show should be interesting.
I think right now WWE is about as good as it can be, especially RAW. I hope it continues.
