I have also enjoyed Anderson's sort of face turn against Bully. I wonder if he will recruit Gallows and D-lo to take on Knox and the other two down the road. I hope not, it just seems to fit.
Not too sure what to think about AJ's push.
EGO messing with people is funny but... yeah, there just doesn't seem to be any interesting directions right now. Most of the wrestlers seem to be floating around just sort of looking for a spark to ignite. I'm not hating TNA right now but the current angles are beginning to drag.

Most of the wrestlers seem to be floating around just sort of looking for a spark to ignite. I'm not hating TNA right now but the current angles are beginning to drag. Example: can you remember any angle that Jeff Hardy has been in since Aries was getting in his face? So thank goodness we have THE DIXIE CARTER HEEL TURN to amuse us. Holy fuck. I mean, seriously, they really are going to rip off the Punk angle, aren't they? That was AJ Style's attempt at the "pipebomb" promo this week. He's "not under contract". Aces & 8s are done, there's no way he's not winning the title. And then he's going to waltz off with the belt and we'll have Youtube matches where he defends the TNA title in high school gyms against those guys he mentioned (Lo-Ki, Shelley, Lethal, etc). I mean, shall I point out how stupid it is that Dixie was chewing him out for being useless the week after WINNING THE BOUND FOR GLORY SERIES? Holy fuck. and here I was thinking the "Have I Mentioned Recently" thread was going to be a bit short this Christmas LOL man anyway, "You'd think a guy that has a girl like Velvet Sky wouldn't dress like a stumblebum" made me laugh a lot. Sabin getting a taste of the World Title and having it go straight to his head is actually a logical motivation for a heel turn. I hope Velvet is turning too, because she will be less unbearable as a mean girl. Knux pointing out that Aces & 8's have gone from 25 members to 4 was pretty funny. What a strange stable. They're just petering out into nothingness. And Sting pointed out that the Mafia lost a couple of members too. So in the last few weeks the Mafia had to get another guy in to help them win a match, lost the final of the BFG Series and lost a six-man tag match. Great going, self-proclaimed main-eventers! Good job! I mean, even if you didn't know about the contract issues they've been having with various talents, and you formed an opinion just on what has been shown on TV... what is going on with this company right now? They brought in a couple of MMA Guys with a lot of fanfare, and then sidelined them after a few weeks. They have one long-term stable overstay their welcome and then peter out. They resurrect another stable and have them bischoff everything. They seemed to have switched direction with a bunch of angles (Styles' sort-of about turn, Roode changing his mind about Threetune EGO, whatever is happening with Sabin at the moment, bringing in a 3-way rule for the X division and then dropping it, bringing back Suicide after a fan vote and then changing his name). And then you've got people being written out of the show seemingly every week. There just doesn't seem to be any direction or solidity to what they're doing at the moment. I'm sure THE DIXIE CARTER HEEL TURN will be good for a few laughs, but more and more TNA is reminding me a lot of that company that went out of business 12 years ago.

It's so funny because THE DIXIE CARTER HEEL TURN is so fucking inevitable at some point, and no one is going to give a shit when it happens. Meanwhile, the announcers are going to make it sound like its one of the biggest shocks in wrestling history. Then someone will stupidly point out how it's as big of a shock as when hogan became nwo in 96, thus accidentally throwing 2013 face hogan under the bus.
Tna is like the comic relief of wrestling

See, I had an idea that Dixie raises her own stable - Aries, Sabin, Storm, Gunner and a knockout (durrrr, shall I be predictable and say Sarita), which beats Aces & 8s into a bloody mess and they are never seen again. Then they crush the MEM and EGO and start picking up all the titles. If Hogan's going they can beat the shit out of him too. Then Dixie can be "I can't be bothered with this shit, I'm tired of being diplomatic and treating everyone with kid gloves, now we're going to do things my way, and this is my plaything, and these are my guys". And we won't know who we're supposed to be cheering or booing, because this is TNA and that is how things have always been.

I totally hate to say it but Dixie actually did the heel delivery very well tonight. It's like she was always a phony and the real trashy spoiled brat Dixie finally revealed. I'm so sick of these management takeovers after all the years but, if they're going to play their role better than 80% of the roster then I should just keep quiet. After all, I'll take tonight's Dixie over the aces and eights at this point

LIVE! FROM THE CAPITAL CITY of ArkansasI dunno why that made me laugh, but it did. Gail Kim's expression when she came out with BroMans was pretty funny too. What a strange combination. And then you realise that Gail Kim is literally the only Knockout that can tag with them. Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid? Because TNA is stupid. Kenny King remembered something that happened more than three weeks ago. Such a great little match. Even in inconsequential angles, Aries is bringing it. Oh, and "you laid on your back for 15 minutes getting your ass kicked and then hit him in the head with a hammer. Technical wizard, just like Lou Thesz". Why isn't this guy World Champion? So they seem to be going for Knux vs Bully after BFG. I do like that Knux seems to be getting rid of Wes and Garrett FIRST. Although why they don't just quit the Club is beyond me. Hogan mentioning he's been with TNA for 4 years made me feel old. Seriously? I totally hate to say it but Dixie actually did the heel delivery very well tonight. It's like she was always a phony and the real trashy spoiled brat Dixie finally revealed. I'm so sick of these management takeovers after all the years but, if they're going to play their role better than 80% of the roster then I should just keep quiet. After all, I'll take tonight's Dixie over the aces and eights at this point I dunno, she was kind of terrible but in a way this role doesn't need a polished performer. By having her talk down to Hulk, they're selling the idea that she's a know-it-all (who's actually way out of her depth). Having her blab about the 99%/1% makes me wonder if there'll be an Ayn Rand hue to her heeldom, which could be interesting or terrible beyond words. If they keep her interjections short and to the point she can pull it off. If she comes out and tries to do the Triple H 20 Minute Special, it will be a disaster. I mean, this is still going to be a glorious trainwreck, but goddamit I want to see what happens next.

The Knockouts division really is terrible right now. I caught some of the recent One Night Only PPV they aired recently which was a Knockouts only event. It was horrible like all of their other One Night Only events but it was sad to see the women who have been there at some point only to be ushered out the door after a little while. Yet, right now you can count the number of wrestlers in the Knockouts division on one hand.
TNA still just isn't clicking for me. Knux getting a face push against Bully Ray is something I am interested in seeing when A+8s finally shuts the clubhouse doors, but they sure are taking their time getting to it.
Aries vs King was enjoyable. I want to see more of those two.
The AJ and Dixie angle is bombing for me. I suppose for Dixie's standards her promo was OK, but it was still pretty bad. The PPV is three weeks away and I don't think AJ and Bully Ray, the actual competitors in the main event have actually interacted yet.

Oh, that's true. I didn't even notice.
Maybe Ethan will come this week and challenge someone for the Legends title.
It looks like they are setting up some sort of multi-man X-Division match. Aries vs Sabin also looks likely. I hope the Bro Mans get in on the action. Maybe even get a tag title match against the champions... whoever they are. I can't think. EGO vs what's left of the Main Event Mafia.

Are you ready to take a ride on the Dixie train? LOL
And another LOL watching her being dragged along the ramp clutching Hogan's leg. Holy fuck.
Hogan mentioning Bischoff's name a bunch of times backstage earlier in the show has me worried that Dixie will get so DRUNK WITH POWER that she'll bring him back to be her GM.
The gauntlet match was the point where I started thinking: stop trying to make Magnus happen. Of course, this is TNA, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him turn on Sting at the PPV and join EGO.
Lady Tappa killing Velvet made me laugh. Seriously, everyone hates Velvet. At least they added SOMEONE new to the division.
EGO celebrating backstage was fun. One of the few highlights of a lacklustre show.

My shoulders sunk when Bischoff's name was dropped in that backstage segment. He's probably going to be the focal point of the post BFG angle this year. Are you ready for the Dixie and Bischoff live SEX celebration in the middle of the ring about four weeks from now? That'll surely take TNA "to the next level".
Yeah, it was another uninspiring show. The stuff with Dixie and Hogan was horrible. With TNA getting rid of a lot of people I wonder if Hogan is really gone.
Yep, Magnus is probably turning on Sting at the PPV. For as bad as the A+8s group has been at times the MEM has been worse. Just pathetic and useless from the start.
I did think it was funny when Manic, a guy in a mask standing there saying nothing, according to Mike Tenay "agreed" to a four way title match at the PPV. Maybe he nodded or something but I missed it.
TNA really needs a spark from somewhere soon because the whole show seems to be going nowhere fast.

TNA really needs a spark from somewhere soon because the whole show seems to be going nowhere fast. One of the great things about watching Impact by entirely legal means is that with no advertisements and skipping stupid video packages and Recaps of Stuff That Happened 90 Seconds Ago, you can trim this whole thing down to about an hour. But recently I've even found myself FFWDing matches too. Like, I couldn't be bothered to watch Joe vs Bully this week, even though it was the main event. And yeah, the Main Event Mafia is just fucking terrible. I don't see the point in it existing at all. The President of Aces & 8s has killed off more bikers than they have.

I don't see the point in it existing at all. The President of Aces & 8s has killed off more bikers than they have. That sums it all up. I know how you feel regarding skipping parts of the show. I've not been paying too much attention to the show in the last little while. I can't remember the last TNA show I watched that truly captured my attention and drew me in. In comparison, some episodes of RAW this year have been really solid and even at three hours long they have been entertaining enough to keep me interested throughout. Maybe BFG will be one of those PPVs that totally delivers despite a pathetic build and TNA can start afresh again. I can't see it, but hopefully things pick up soon.

See, I can only watch clips of WWE at the moment because there is just so fucking much of it every week. I can't see myself plonking myself down in front of the TV and watching an entire episode of RAW any time soon. So I do appreciate the comments from you guys, pointing out anything that I might be missing (like that Rhodes vs Shield match that I'll try and find at some point).
And yeah, they need to flush a lot of this crap down the toilet at BFG and start afresh. If THE DIXIE CARTER HEEL TURN is the big angle, then fine, but get rid of the bikers and the mafia and don't bring the MMA Guys back. Seriously, Knux needs to powerbomb Bully off the stage, and Bully needs to go away for a couple months.
I said in the other thread that I expect the title to be held up after the PPV. A gigantic tournament to determine a new Champion would be a good story. That could also be how Knux meets Bully in an early round, too.
