Hogan is such a dip shit. To keep Sabin vs Bully clean, it's a cage match. My memory is a little rusty, but Bully won the title by cheating in a cage match.
Joseph Park gets a dip shit award to this week. It becomes time to lawyer up and he's playing with an ipad with Eric Young. Damn son.
Bully gets a dip shit award for trying to sue someone for using a hammer on him. Bully and his cronies have used a hammer on countless people.
Bully's lawyer however wins an award for being awesome.
Angle wins a dip shit award for worrying about Bully's frivolous lawsuit.
Sting however wins an awesome award for basically telling Angle to shut his womanly mouth.
Dixie Carter wins a dip shit award for being a drama queen.
Hogan however wins an awesome award for basically telling her to shut her womanly mouth.

Hogan is such a dip shit. To keep Sabin vs Bully clean, it's a cage match. My memory is a little rusty, but Bully won the title by cheating in a cage match. Yep, pretty much what I thought. Yeah, he was funny, but holy god that "potential lawsuit" thing was the most half-assed angle they've done in a long time. And think how much ground that covers. I'm guessing the Hulkster's been having trouble with his lawyers, because that guy just pulled a bunch of shit out of thin air and then Hogan was able to wave it all away because being General Manager of a wrestling promotion supercedes the courts of the land. I suppose I'm overthinking it, but it was stupid. On the subject of half-assedness, I still cannot care about the Main Event Mafia. This group is three guys who didn't come to Sting's aide in the first place and a guy who's never wrestled a match before. More to the point, they haven't main evented a single show since they formed. This is going to be the new "fourtune doesn't have four members" thing, isn't it. Gahh. Dixie Carter and/or Brooke Hogan talking actively antagonises me. Oh, actually, let me include Velvet Skye in that too. What the fuck was she rambling about? It's pretty hard to keep a major injury a secret. All Velvet did was eliminate the need for Mickie to consult Twitter to find out about it. I think Velvet might actually be the worst Babyface in Professional Wrestling right now.

That lawyer guy was great. Bully Ray, "Do you know who this is?" Yells from the crowd, "Kevin Nash!... Big Sexy!" I hope he sticks around.
The lawyer aside though, the lawsuit from out of nowhere angle really annoyed me too. It's just dumb.

I got a good laugh out of Bobby Roode being as cunning as an anvil. I mean, the referee saw broken glass all over the ring and Roode acted as if it must have come from the crowd. Hilarious.
They have completely blown this AJ angle by having talk every fucking week. If he had remained mute there would have been at least some mystery and intrigue as to his motives. Now he's just another guy with a chip on his shoulder. I mean, they even referenced Sting's decades-old angle a couple of months ago, then they purposely decided to not do that. Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid? Because TNA is stupid.
Oh, so the August 1st warning is another MMA Guy. Colour me not-giving-a-shit. At least they didn't draw it out for weeks.
Sabin vs Manik was okay. Having the guy talk with his mask off still seems a bit goofy. And I'm sure there is a shitload of continuity problems with this angle in general, but, well... whatever.
Aries cut a good, fairly short, promo and then delivered a great match (albeit with a wacky finish). So overall I was entertained by this week's show.

I also liked Impact last week. The ridiculous ending is what will stay with me though. That had to be one of the dumbest things to ever happen in TNA. When I saw the big tinydick limo it gave me flashes of WCW in its decaying days and I instantly thought it was going to be Bischoff. I can't believe the reveal was so lame that I would have actually preferred Bischoff. The back and forth cuts to the wrestlers' reactions was like something out of a parody movie. The wrestlers themselves seem to be aware of how badly that bit turned out judging by Mr Anderson's 5 different reaction vids here - instagram.com/secondpowerI also enjoyed Roode this week. I really liked him as champion the first time so I'd be all for another reign. Aries v AJ was a good match but the finish really disappointed me. I doubt they are but they better not be breaking up Bad Influence with this match on this week's show.

In one of their video packages they even showed half-a-dozen bikers in the cage when Bully won the title the first time, just in case you forgot.
Joe jobbed to standing up. What a dummy. Anderson should make that his finishing move.
"my matches are won before I even walk in the ring". Also, Kristy announced Mickie as "women's champion", which seemed odd.
It's gotten to the point where I had to FFWD Brooke talking, even though I knew she was going to reveal an important plot point. I gathered from the commentators that Bully doesn't get anymore title shots if he loses. This is what is going to happen: Bully is going to lose. We then get a match with Bully vs... I dunno... Sting maybe, where the stipulation is that if Bully wins, he gets to compete for the title again, and if he loses, his marriage to Brooke is over. I think that's when Brooke is finally going to turn heel.
Roode kinda opened a can of worms by DQing Magnus, because really everyone should be doing that to everyone else, if it results in -10 points. I was ready to groan when Magnus was all "hey, it's not your fault ref", but then he strongly implied he's going to get his own back, so we'll see. Of course, this is TNA, so they might forget about it.
MMA Guy blahed something on the lines of "I don't have answers to all your questions". Yeah, no shit. They literally have no clue what they're doing with him, do they? I guess that's why Kurt interrupted him 5 seconds into his promo to say exactly the same thing as he said to the other MMA Guy.

Yeah, the stuff with the MMA Guys is an annoying addition. Apparently they are fighting each other at some point soon, so it will hopefully get done with quickly.
I did laugh when Roode got Magnus disqualified. I suppose the faces will be too righteous to adopt that tactic. When Roode came out later and was in the ring with Daniels and Kaz he started saying something like, "the three of us make up 25% of...", and I honestly thought he was about to say "25% of what was Fourtune".
TNA has been solid enough recently but it's not blowing me away. Hopefully it picks up soon as they get closer to BFG.

Thoughts for the last two weeks:
Ladder matches are no-dq, is there anything to stop someone using a model helicopter and a hook to get to the contract?
Anderson baiting Magnus as "could have been the future of Impact Wrestling" struck me as rather meta, given what happened to Kenderson in WWE. I like subtle touches like that.
Sting begging Aries to be in the Main Event Mafia was weird. Why not just ask Sabin?
Oh hey, MMA Guy called out the other MMA Guy.
I got a really bad feeling when there was a ref bump in a fucking steel cage match that they would have Sabin standing outside the cage frantically waving his arms around with the ref out, only for Anderson to chuck him back in and the ref then to wake up. See, this is the thing with watching TNA. You always have this looming dread that something REALLY STUPID is going to happen, and then when something only mildly contrived happens, you think, "wow, that wasn't too bad actually". I bet Dolph Ziggler is breathing a sigh or relief at not being Worst World Champion of the Decade any more.
"this World Title match is going to be in a steel cage, bruvva, to make sure nobody from Aces & 8s can interfere... until the referee opens the door when you ask him to, bruvva." Have I mentioned recently that TNA is stupid? Because TNA is really fucking stupid sometimes. I hate "walking out the door" as an option in cage matches as it is, but it absolutely should not have been an option in this match, because that was the whole fucking point in putting it in the cage in the first place. Gay.
This was being pushed as "Hardcore Justice" and we had people being attacked with cocktail drinks, leather vests and bras this episode. I just thought I would point that out.
Manik vs Sonjay was a fun match.
Man, I burst out laughing when they went to the four-corner split-screen shot and it was Christopher Daniels and the three complete jobbers of the BFG Series. God, Kazarian had to beat AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Austin Aries. Wrestling is funny sometimes.
Sometimes I feel slightly sorry for Mike Tenay, having to act outraged when some dumb plot twist like Tessmacher sucking Bully's... finger happens. And then I remember it's Mike Tenay. Fuck him. You know JR would have sold the shit out of that segment. On the other hand, I am relieved that they got rid of Brooke Hogan. So it's a net positive. Seriously, I'm racking my memory trying to think of someone who was as nails-on-a-chalkboard as she was in the history of this business.
After the recent round of garbage-trucking, the entirety of the Knockout division is Gail, Mickie, ODB, Tessmacher and Velvet, right? I suppose I could blah something about Sarita but I think I'd rather see Sarita vs AJ now.
There's enough going on to hold my interest, but yeah, Impact is definitely going through a lull at the moment. Mostly because I don't care about the Mafia, and the bikers have been around 14 months with no end in sight.
Also, like I said a few posts ago, they blew the AJ angle so yeah, might as well press the rest button now (especially if he's gone next month. Stupid company).

Impact was pretty good this week. I didn't realise the BFG series was ending already, but the matches all delivered.
I started zoning out during AJ's promo. It started off okay, and then it seemed to go on... and on... and on... and on... and he was moaning and groaning about everything.
I like Gail, and I like ODB, but it feels like they've wrestled a dozen times recently, even though it's probably only a few times. I can understand them cutting Tara if they're trying to cut costs, but they really need some fresh faces, because five women is not a division.
Sting lost a match and consequently wouldn't be able to get another title shot ever again. "ever again" in TNA meaning three months.
So the Final Four are going to be Magnus, Roode, Aries and whoever wins the Gauntlet (as Jeff was in 4th place). Y'know, it's not at all obvious what they're planning for the main event of their biggest PPV, which makes me wonder if the winner is going to lose the Title Match again.

Sting lost a match and consequently wouldn't be able to get another title shot ever again. "ever again" in TNA meaning three months. So I did hear that correctly. LOL! Hey, at least it looks like A+8s are beginning to fall apart. I've been disappointed with the BFG series this year. It's just been a bit underwhelming. One thing I did like during AJ's promo was him pointing out Dixie Carter's numerous promises of some new direction that never goes anywhere. Although I think it made me realise how right he is, and even if TNA starts improving soon and looks to be going somewhere positive and better, soon enough we'll be back to Sting title shots, Hogan promos bookending shows and weekly TV title matches live from Imaginationland.

Hey, at least it looks like A+8s are beginning to fall apart. Well they've already lost D'Lo, DOC and now Devon. It's essentially Bully, Anderson, Tito and the jobber patrol. And Bully and Anderson are arguing. So yeah, it looks like the end is nigh. "nigh" in TNA meaning 9 months away. I don't really see what a satisfying payoff is to this angle now.

The aces and eights thing just pisses me off now. When bully was saying "I love you Brooke" I knew tessmacher was gonna be sucking his dick. I wonder if she was the plan all along or it was a last minute coverup for the other Brooke leaving the company. If she was the plan all along, so stupid to bring her in now. If not, then I'll give them credit for fixing the problem by using the other Brooke.
I feel like Magnus is winning the BFG series. Then they'll have him win the belt, realize he's not ready to be the head guy yet, and have bully win it back in 3 weeks.
Why is it the writers always mix tons of crack with AJ Styles angles? They had him take the crow route, repackaged him, gave him new music, and that lasted all of what, 5 months before they had him do the cheesy entrance music fake out last week? God this company is infuriating
So Aries is face again. He's another one I'm just bored with now.
I actually have liked Anderson in his tna run. The problem is they book him like shit.
I just finally figured out that Knox name in tna is actually Knux. I thought they were getting away with calling him knox all this time. Wow after a fucking year I just get his name now? Great job on profiling the poor bastard. That guy gets no respect in wrestling lol
The main event mafia sucks
I can't stand fucking hogan anymore. I want him off my tv now more than the mcmahons. Sadly, they're all still better than Dixie carter. I cringe every time she's in the ring with a mic
Daniels is still the most underutilized guy in the company. Kazarian actually got much better over the year too. I like the names he comes up with for the crowd like turd burglars lol
Am I the only one just bored to shit by bobby roode? He's another one like rvd that I feel like is a one trick pony, like, if you saw him 5 yrs ago, you saw him today.
Overall I'm just fed up with tna

I think my brain broke on TNA. There just isn't enough outside of Bad Influence, Aries and the occasional X-Division match to carry my interest. I hate there deal with Bellatore so much to. I love MMA, but keep the fighters there. Some are really good wrestlers as well, but Ken Shamrock is past his prime at everything and Josh Barnett fights for UFC, so he probably couldn't wrestle for TNA if he wanted to. But, here is hoping someone will eventually let Barnett wrestle for them.

So Hogan said Bully was going to "defend the belt" against Sting, and the match actually ended up being non-title after Bully reminded us of that stipulation that happened more than three weeks ago. Being General Manager of a wrestling promotion enables you to over-ride the Law of the Land, but not the stipulations of wrestling matches. And Dixie made the two MMA Guys go away for nearly two months? God. Okay, whatever. I swear, this company is reminding me of that other promotion that went out of business 12 years ago more and more recently. The main event mafia sucks It's just so half-assed. One member's in rehab. Another member has been suspended for two months. Another member cannot wrestle for the World Title ever again. And one of the others jobbed in the Main Event. What, exactly, is the fucking POINT of this stable any more? It's a testament to how terrible Brooke Hogan was that Dixie is actually a vast improvement. I also cringe when she speaks, but at least I can listen to her without FFWDing. No Gut Checks for months now, thank fucking god. Greatest Kenderson match ever. Seriously, that was fucking great. Having the ref knocked out for an entire 10-count in a Last Man Standing match was a bit goofy, but hey, it is TNA. And man, those were the worst fake paramedics in the world. So AJ is a malcontent, his contract is up, and he's going to main event the biggest show of the year. For the title. Why does this sound familiar? Surely they wouldn't, would they?
