I thought raw was flat out awesome this week. It's like they had a huddle backstage or something and said, ok enough with the garbage, lets really make this interesting again. I feel like they had the attitude era writing for this past Monday. You know, that edgy, chaotic, unpredictable night that they used to give us a lot more of in the past.
You know what tickled me a bit? The announcers kept saying, "this is the weirdest night of raw possibly ever!" It's like they felt the need to explain themselves for delivering great tv lol. No guys, it's not a "weird raw", it was a FUCKING GOOD RAW!! Surprise, but I really enjoyed what you refer to as "weird"
I mentioned on another thread that I want to see Daniel Bryan become a 4 time wwe champion and only hold the belt a total of 3 days tops. If they want to keep him hot and taken seriously as a top guy, that's the way to book him. I feel like a "title RUN" will only hurt Bryan. But I feel like he still needs title WINS. This is a perfect opportunity to continue to douche up trips and have him find reasons to continuously strip Bryan, no matter how many times he proves he's better than orton. In the process, keep making orton step up his game. I think it's amazing how they just made Bryan and orton that much more legit by showing Bryan is a threat to their company, but also saying, "hey orton, show us why you deserve another chance". The result of that, you have a main eventer thats hotter than ever and still needs our support, and his rival destroying a guy in his home town in front of his parents...just awesome
I originally thought big show was "in" on the corporate stuff until I saw his war with the shield on smackdown. But, now he's playing the crying bullied oaf too well. I think more big show abuse is what this storyline needs instead of him knocking out Bryan and hugging trips and orton. Big shows eventual redemption will be a better payoff in the longrun. With that said, the dusty Rhodes segment was great. It couldn't have been done better
Then there was the segment with ryback disapproving punk as a bully and resulting in heyman kissing him on the cheek like its his new son. Strange, but fucking great! Also, major credit to the repackaging of ryback. That's another fix they couldn't have done a better job with. I actually ENJOY RYBACK now. I think he's actually funny and amusing and a total dick that I'm not supposed to like. Before, he was a boring dick that I was supposed to cheer for. That didnt work for me
Then at the end the locker room stepped up and this whole storyline stepped the entire company up left me wanting to know what's going to happen next. This whole "new corporation" thing is just being delivered so well I'm actually impressed for the first time in years. They actually had me raising my eyebrows all night like, oh shit that was cool!
Even the matches in between that didnt have much to do with the main storyline were pretty decent. Ambrose and ziggler was cool. AJs recent awesomeness + the diva show just made the divas division totally relevant again. I don't really remember the triple threat tag match and I forwarded RVD and sandow because I've honestly seen enough of the same fucking RVD for 15 yrs now.
But all in all, this raw and the direction they are heading in is SUCH an improvement!

Having Triple H pulling his hair out that Dan keeps getting the job done (remember Dan "beating" Mark Henry in the lumberjack match? One of my favourite matches of the last few years) would be funny. I think it's smart that they're not having Dan doing Steve-Austin type stuff. "You may never get to touch the Master, but you can tickle his creatures"

I give it another month before Big Show becomes the first guy to enter the Triple H 'Kiss my feet' club. As much as I've enjoyed the stuff with Big Show and Triple H, Big Johnny's ownage and firing of Big Show a couple of years back is still my favourite bit of Big Show ownage. That was classic Big Johnny. Kurt Angle knocking Big Show out with a tranquillizer gun is a close second though.
What is it with seeing huge guys getting owned that makes you smile? Lol. Kane ownage is also hilarious.

I'm not too excited about the addition of Brie Bella to Daniel Bryan's angle. He's not really going to be much of a lone wolf with his lassie following him everywhere.
Punk and Heyman trying to con each other worse than the other is amusing. Heyman's proposal was making me squirm but it was funny. Heyman and his big beautiful man Ryback is really working for me.

So Triple H finally got what was coming to him. That was such a cool moment.
It's funny, but HBK reffing the next Bryan v Orton match doesn't enthuse me too much. Just because he's going to superkick one of them, probably Bryan after Orton ducks it, and then we might have to see another rematch after that.
So Cena is coming back already. Forget Dusty, Cena is the one with the real bionic elbow. At least he might make the world title interesting for a while by taking it from Del Rio. I can also see Sandow trying to cash in on Cena and getting beat soundly in about two minutes, lol.
Primo and Epico need that little bullswoggle to keep them over. I suppose it's pretty funny seeing 3MB getting pwned by that little guy.
WWE was on a high for a while over the summer but I feel things have slowed down a little as of late. Still some good stuff going on though.

I have a theory.
I don't think cena is ready to go yet. He had a torn tricep 2 months ago. That's too soon, even for superman. I have a feeling he's giving Alberto a quick FU(or STF or roll up)in record time. Then Alberto is gonna destroy him after the match and Damien cashes in. Then cena will be gone another few months

Then cena will be gone another few months I appreciate your optimism Champ, but it is Cena we're talking about here. He's back. Also, his injury sort of looked like a big build up of fluid more than anything else, so maybe the injury wasn't as bad as he initially feared.

I am finally caught up on Raw before the next one starts, so here is like 6 weeks worth of thoughts at once.
-The HHH/Shield/Orton vs Dan Bryan and friends is incredible.
-Goldust can still go. I love the way he does his make up these days.
-Has anyone had a better transformation in wrestling then Husky Harris into Bray Wyatt? Maybe Ringmaster into Stone Cold or Rocky Miavia into The Rock but thats about it.
-The only compaints I have about WWE is the Los Matadors. Fuck them. Fuck them back when they were Primo and Epico.
-If Brodus Clay and Sweet T come from Planet Funk, how much longer until Zeb tells them to get out of America?
-As a guy who doesn't purchase PPVs, I am thrilled with the current title situation. I'm hoping it leads to some sort of massive title tournament that culminates at Survivor Series. Also, I hope the first 3 rounds happen in Puertia Rico and we never see them, just like Patterson winning the IC title.
- Heyman vs Punk is a glorious B story going on right now. Even if Punk is semi retarded and picking the same stipulations that Heyman wanted.
-Miz's Dad apparently isn't big into wrestling, judging by the way he didn't even have emotions when Orton killed his son.
-Miz's mom is obviously not an actress.
-So far I am not missing Cena, Sheamus or RVD.
-I am so glad that Big Show left his cry baby phase.

So is it too obvious to expect HBK to "miss" a superkick and nail Bryan at the HIAC match? That's how I see things going anyway.
One thing I liked about RAW was HBK's promo about Triple H's attitude towards Bryan. Shawn tearing away all the excuses and "best for business" stuff and essentially making Triple H admit with a smirk that his problem with Bryan is personal and that he sustains the grudge because Bryan has proved him wrong. HBK really gets the best out of an angle with his mic work sometimes.
I think it was last week but Jerry Lawler comparing Cesaro neutralising Brodus to someone trying to lift a waterbed was hilarious. Cesaro swinging these fools every week is also great. I can't wait for him to do it to the bullswoggle and send it flying into row Z.
Goldust and Cody's two matches with The Shield were really good. I also love Goldust's paint right now.
The Punk v Heyman feud feels like it needs to end about now.
RAW has been good lately. The PPV should be decent too.

I think we all have the same gut feeling for the obvious inevitable, that somehow, for whatever reason(accidental or on purpose), Shawn is super kicking Bryan and costing him the belt.
I agree with MS that Shawn is just the man when it comes to any kind of storytelling, verbal or physical. All he had to do is come back for one night and he's still the best. Shawn michaels has to be the best all around performer of all time
I said it before and I will say it again, I hate the IC and US title right now. If Ambrose suddenly started coming out for a match without the US title around his waist, it would probably take me 2 months to notice. And if Curtis asshole disappeared for 2 months with the IC title, would ANYONE notice? I fucking hate that guy lol
I don't see how cena is not leaving HIAC the world champion. However, what is he going to do as world champ? I feel like, dare I say, he's above that title, by wwe pecking order standards. I doubt now that Del rio will destroy cena and Damien will cash in because cenas "amazing return" is being hyped up too much. Maybe del rio destroys him on raw the next night and Damien cashes in.
I actually like the Rhodes angle right now. It's cool seeing them as champs
Raw was a bit weak though compared to the way it's been lately. It was a little more 2007 cookie cutting. I guess it's entertaining when giants drive trucks into arenas and.....honk the horn. Stone cold would've rolled in, shot everyone down with beer, stunned everyone, made a beer toast as the guy is getting for "no hard feelings" then...stun him again! Fucking raw was so awesome 15 yrs ago
I have a good feeling about the ppv though

RAW was weird this week.
Looks like they are going for a Bryan and Punk vs The Wyatts angle. The first crack in The Shield appeared with Ambrose's comments on Rollins and Reigns. I hope they don't split the group already. I kinda want to see them as faces going against The Wyatts. Kane took the mask off again. Disappointed! Even after Sandow had all but broken Cena's arm, I still didn't expect anything other than a Cena victory, lol.

OK, I was disappointed when Kane took the mask off, but if I knew we were going to get Kane in a suit then I wouldn't have been. I thought we were going to get Kane from about 2005 again but this new character looks like it can be a winner. Kane is right up there with the the best of them in the WWE when it comes to mic work so I can't wait to hear his "best for business" promos.
Big Show is an idiot. That's about all that needs to be said really.
Big Show, "I've got you by the balls and can get just about anything I want from you, but I really just want my job back."
Triple H, "Yeah, OK. You've got your job back."
*Sierra. Hotel. India. Echo. Lima. Delta. SHIELD *
Big Show, "... whoopsies."
Maybe I'm getting carried away because I've always been a huge fan, but Goldust is absolutely tearing it up right now. He is looking great in every match. I would absolutely love for him to have a singles run as a serious and respected character once the tag team with Cody runs its course.

I have to say wwe has been pretty on point in the last few months. It's not the greatest programming they've ever had, but this is the best they've been working with what they have in years. That's all I ask. You're not always going to have the best generation of overall talent on tv every year, but at least tap into all the positives aspects that have been staring us right in the face. Here's what I mean,
Dan Bryan is really over with the chants and one of the best performers in the company. So they honed in on those two things
Randy orton shines as a sadistic heel and he's got a GQ type look that women love. They honed in on those two things
Cena, as much as I know people don't want to hear it, draws more ratings than anyone. So they put him on Raw and smackdown and giving more guys, that didnt get a chance before, in ring segments with him.
This thing with Kane is brilliant. It doesn't make sense putting him in a suit, but at the same time, makes perfect sense. He's done everything there is to do. His character evolved and matured over the years and he's been around as long as trips. its like he finally earned the right to say fuck you to the roster and take the opportunity to have some company power for a change.
You know who's actually looking good in the ring surprisingly? Luke Harper. He's nothing super special but he's like this big dirty stupid retard that actually knows how to work a match! He's one of those guys where looks are deceiving. He looks like he should be garbage in the ring and he's really not lol
Wwe is just doing the right things. The near future looks good.

I think it works because you know Kane is a crazy fuck who sets commentators on fire and elecrocutes people's balls. And then you've got Triple H who hits people in the head with a sledgehammer. That hasn't changed... they're just wearing suits now. These aren't your typical "boardroom man in a suit" like John Laurinaitis. I also love that Kane's tie is red. I love attention to detail.

The handkerchief in Kane's front pocket also looks like flames, lol. Yeah, Kane in a suit is going to rule.
Also, if we've learnt anything from Kane angles over the years, it's that nothing makes sense.
I hope I'm wrong but I think Roman Reigns might be going lone wolf in the next few weeks. Ambrose has been dropping comments suggesting he is above the group and I think he's going to get speared in half for it. Not sure where it would leave Rollins if Reigns goes face and squashes Ambrose as his first feud but I could see Rollins going face too.
Does anyone actually think Big Show will win the WWE title? I don't.
