So I'm down to 187lbs. 4 more to go Til my lowest in 10 yrs. I actually started doing DDP yoga this weekend Naitch. I feel like I'm at a point where I need to do a bunch of different things and not stick to a schedule. I'm not isolating body parts anymore either. I'm hitting every body part during each workout now but just spending about 5-7 min on each muscle. Some days I go heavy weights, some days I go just calisthenics(all body movements, no weights), other days I go extremely light like lighter than working with my body weight and do a shitload of reps. Then I incorporate running into it. Now I'm doing the ddp yoga on days I want to just kind of rest and not kill myself. I noticed the older I get I just can't handle brutal workouts anymore along with working in a warehouse 9-5. I'm trying to work smarter these days and not be a tough guy. I even noticed the last day I did the heavy day I couldn't work out the next 3 days. So I think my heavy lifting days are over. If I actually decide to do a competition and set a date, I'll train for it. But I'm more concerned at being the best possible "champ" I can be now that I'm starting my 5 year journey to 40 yrs old next week I had to come back to edit this. I wasn't sure how I felt about the ddp yoga Til I did the red hot core workout just now! Shit I consider myself to be in good shape but I was shaking like a leaf in a hurricane during some of these exercises, which tells me that, for a guy with a 300lbs+ bench press and 500lbs deadlift, my core is garbage! It's actually mind blowing to be relatively strong in some areas and so weak in others, like it's hard to believe these positives and negatives belong to the same body. I always knew my core was fairly weak, but this explains why I have terrible balance and stability. I really have to work on that. They always say that's the key issue with back problems. There's a tie in between weak core and chronic back pains Bro, I love me some DDP Yoga. I really don't venture to hard out of the first two DVDs, but Red Hot Core is my Sunday work out.I hate life for like 12 minutes but it always feels worth it.All those exercises on that end with the HULLLLKKKK IT OUTTTTT feel great on the parts of me that hurt from BJJ, and really helps me bully people on the ground. Just stay somewhat consistent with your Yoga and you'll start feeling shit just grow on your arms and shoulders. Well, maybe you won't, but I do because my arms hurt a lot from BJJ and Muay Thai, which I started two months ago.

The main thing for me that I noticed is, I did all 3 from the first disc last night(energy, fat burner, and core) and I got out of bed easier today than I have in so long. I wasn't so much more well rested as much as I was simply able to fucking MOVE! Every morning I feel like an old man getting out of bed. This morning my limbs actually were functioning right off the bat. I noticed since I first started having back problems almost 15 yrs ago I would have stability issues. I would shake anytime I lifted something, even really light. If I was off balance in any way I would almost fall over at times too. So when I did this yoga, ESPECIALLY the red hot core, I can tell that this is EXACTLY what I've been needing to do for years. I'm only going to go to the gym one or two days a week now and just do this for a while. But yeah, the core workout is BRUTAL! Lol I was doing it last night and looked like I had a look on my face like I was getting stabbed.
But I definitely approve of ddp yoga. The trick is you have to mix it up and do all 3 on the first disc mainly

My take on DDP Yoga, and this is just personally, there are probably a ton of great work out methods, is do something, like Energy or Fat Burner, and then Red Hot Core, and than proceed to diet properly and your good to go. What your doing seems like there is a lot of time put into it, but hey, more power to you. Glad your back is feeling better my man. Do you have all six discs? If you do, get really good at the yoga, than do a couple more months before even attempting stuff like Extreme Psycho.

No I actually did what you mentioned, the 3 major ones on disc 1, energy, fat burning, and core last night. My friend from work loaned them to me, just discs 1 and 2.
The thing that made me decide to start doing the yoga is my back was feeling better than ever when I started deadlifting, but I was SO tired, sore, and sluggish the other 22-23 hrs of the day from it. When I started dieting hardcore in March, I started doing more hard running again with lighter weights. But I noticed since I started running, my back is starting to hurt again. My hips are tight and there's an area right smack in the middle of my back around the rib cage area that feels so tight and immobile and ready to spaz out at any given moment and hurts when I move a certain way. I also started doing slower reps with lighter weight in the gym and my fucking arms and legs shake so much. Every morning I feel tight and feel like I never walk like a normal human being with fluidity. To top it all off, I'm strong as I can get with weights, I have added a lot of muscle over the years, but I don't look like I work nearly as hard as I have been for years. I should look like an even more jacked up bobby roode but I look a little more like A less flabby James storm lol. It made me realize my core is WEAK! I kind of knew this is what I needed to do. I've always heard this is the answer for people who have had back injuries and never been the same. Your core completely suffers, and when your core suffers, the rest of you does too.
I'll tell you what I did notice today after I actually worked a full day. My metabolism was through the damn roof today! I needed to eat like every 2 hrs. Then I got home, ate a fruit salad, did the energy workout followed by the red hot core, then burned my muscles out quickly with a stretch cable. Then I ate a salad, esparagus, cauliflower, and about a pound of London broil. I took a shower and when I was done, I was hungry again! That means this shit is totally working. It totally put my metabolism into overdrive. I just had to eat some more vegetables again. My diet is mostly organic and gluten free now too.
But thanks man, all a work in progress! Do you have the extreme psycho? I'm not even going to go near that until I slay the red hot core, which I'm far from doing lol

I do have extreme psycho. I haven't even popped it in the DVD player, it looks scary. Here is the chapter listing for this one work out.
DVD 1:
-Intro -Breathing -Hip, Back, Knees tutorial -Extreme Psycho tutorial
Did you just notice that we went through a whole DVD an we never got to the actual work out?
Disc 2:
-10 Minute Warm Up -Hip, Back and Knee Opener Workout -Extreme Psycho Workout -Red Hot Core
And to top it off when you look at the back of the case it says WARNING: You are going to sweat, You are Going To Curse, You are going to be challenged like never before. This DVD is about to kick your ass.
Here is my recommendation to you. See if you can get someone to burn all of those DVDs for you. The first 4 or all 6 doesn't really matter, and than master those first 2 DVDs. If your having some back issues, all of the pro wrestlers on twitter say they start there day with the first work out on disc 3, it's called wake up. It's real easy and a great start for you. And once your real good at positions like the Road Warrior 1 and 2 and have the 10 count push ups done with ease try the Double Black Diamond. It kicks some ass.

The energy is one of those ones I feel like I can do on any day because it really just stretches me out nice but doesn't overwork me at all. The fat burner is good if I already feel energized. But if you feel sore at all, forget about the red hot core that day lol.
I'm going to burn the first 2 discs this weekend. I just have to pick up some DVD-Rs. My coworker said he's goint to order the pack for the other ones(not sure which disc numbers he was talking about) but I want to just get comfortable with the three on disc 1. This weekend I want to try below the belt on disc 2. I actually want to get good at all the ones on the first 2 discs for 3-4 weeks. Then I'll move on to the others. I might even order them myself because I want the heart monitor lol

Talking about core exercises, I think they are definitely the hardest to do. You use pretty much every other muscle during everyday use, but you usually don't have to exert your core much. I often do four sets of 70 sit-ups when I'm exercising and it is definitely the exercise that takes the most out of me. I will probably try upping the number soon as I'm becoming comfortable with the sets, but I know when I do make it harder the first couple of times are going to suck. Lol.

Core workouts suck! I noticed since I started doing them though my overall physique shaped up a lot in just a month! I think people misunderstand what ab exercises are all about. A lot of times people are going for the 6 pack. The thing is it's strengthening everything and allowing the rest of your body to perform better and burn more fat. I've been applying my core workouts to the rest of my body parts at the gym, same type of reps and using more dynamic resistance with much lighter weights. On the bench I used to warm up with 135lbs and work up to 225-275lbs. Now I'm working out with LESS than 135lbs. I'm burning so much more fat now. I'm back up to 190lbs but I definitely burned more fat. But I added muscle from the core workouts
