I think all the characters are great. Roman and the ex-junkie boss. All great. They all add a lot to the show. Even if Roman is only into "Hardcore Sci-Fi".

Wow, a year and a half? In case you missed it Mastersnit, Charlie Brooker had a show on a few days ago. It was pretty funny. You've got till Jan 11th to check it out if you're interested. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00wyn2z/Charlie_Brookers_Screenwipe_27_12_2010/Man, I totally forgot about "Party Down". I've got all the episodes from the 2nd (and final) series on my hard drive and everything and haven't watched them yet. If nothing else I need some more Lizzie Caplan in my life. That show was funny. Another show I've gotten into lately is "Community". I had a cold a few weeks ago and ended up going through like a dozen episodes in a weekend. Amazing cast. Very funny if you like a kind of slackerish surrealism and can tolerate a mild level of quirkiness (and occasional sentimentality. But that's all sitcoms, really). Otherwise, TV. meh. I watch some sport, and the news. Otherwise I can't be arsed with it anymore. If I fancy something I'm more likely to legally acquire it and watch it on my computer.

Yep, time sure is flying. Thanks, I'll check that out. I did see some show with Charlie Brooker, maybe six months ago, but it was just one of those shows where he is sitting in the middle and three dickheads on either side of him are "being funny". I switched off after a couple of minutes. I did randomly leave the tv on a channel last week and there was a show on called 'Well Good Show', or something like that. The guy was like some sort of Lahndan Geeza doing a sort of stand up and I couldn't stop laughing at it. It was totally stupid, but the guy's delivery was great. And I have actually seen a few episodes of Community. I thought it was OK, wasn't beating off to it or anything. But man, Clark Griswold is looking old as fuck. Other than that, I can relate to the apathy towards watching stuff. I've felt like that for a while. Even though I have plenty of stuff to get around to watching I just never do. I've really got to re-learn how to relax for a little while.

This was a really strange thread-bump when I saw the timestamp. It took a few episodes for it to grow on me. It might have helped that I started from the beginning though. I think the show works because of how the characters are built up and develop over time. I'd also say it might be a bit of an acquired taste though. This show also made me realise that I thought Chevy Chase and John Candy were the same person. Strange, I know.

John Candy was pretty funny. I caught a bit of The Great Outdoors over Christmas with him in it. There was a load of Father Ted stuff on the other night that I sat and watched. It reminded me of how much I like that show. It's one of my favourite tv shows ever. LOL

I did watch that Charlie Brooker show that you linked up there, V. Have you seen any of his new show, I think it's called 'How TV Ruined Your Life'? It's been pretty funny. There was a bit on the first episode where he laughed at a wee boy falling in a river that had me chuckling pretty hard. It also looked at a TV show called 'Threads' for a while. I remember watching that a few years back and thinking it was pretty good.

Has anyone seen that new JJ Abrams show, "Person of Interest?" Ben from Lost stars in it with Jim Caviezel. It's pretty good! My sister told me about it last week. Only the second eps of the series aired last night
If you haven't seen it, basically, Ben(Harold Finch is his character) invented a computer system to track down terrorists in New York City, to start, and it turned out to be so powerful that it catches random crimes as well. So, Jim Caviezel(Reese) helps him save these random people from these crimes that go under the radar. Ben is the brains and Caviezel is the brawn.
I didn't see the first eps, just last nights

In the first episode someone pulled out a big crime stopping buttplug that was jammed into the Bronx's asshole and now Ben has to stop the evil.
(I'm just joking, that isn't a spoiler, but it wouldn't be surprising if it was true)
I might give it a watch after the first season has completed.
Other than the wrestling I'm not watching a lot of TV at all. I will be watching South park again from next week.

"Community" is the only new TV show I'm actually making an effort to see at the moment ("Futurama" just ended its most recent run).
Nothing is really capturing my imagination at the moment.

Oh cool! Thanks for the heads up.
I actually have to catch up on a few episodes from last season. I'm still pissed off that Philnut didn't win The K Factor a few years back.

Since I now remember this thread exists, anyone else watching The Walking Dead? I normally hate zombie stuff, but this show is more about characters adapting in a post apocalyptic world then zombies. I find it quite the watch. I was a little late to the party with this show, and caught everything On Demand right before the second season began and now I am HOOKED. It was a good replacement show for Breaking Bad going off the air.

I've seen ads for it but, like yourself Naitch, I am not crazy on all this zombie stuff so I've not pursued watching it. Maybe at some point.
I had to laugh at the South Park episode a few weeks back where it mocked that Terra Nova show for just being Lost... but with dinosaurs. That is exactly what I thought when I saw a clip of it.
