An out of body experience.
I had a few days off work recently where I didn't have to get up early, so I would lie in. But I didn't manage to get up until much later than I wanted because I wasn't aware that I was still sleeping. I would slowly get up out of my bed and walk away from my bed but when I go to touch something I can't because I'm physically not there. So I then realise this and become aware that I'm back lying in my bed but I still don't have a full sense of control so I can't move and I lie there until it happens over again. I've did it plenty of times before but recently it seems to be happening regularly.

Lets test it, can you have somebody leave todays newspaper on top of the dresser or something then you see if you know what the headline is when you actually wake up! if you know what the paper says you really have an OOB

I could try that. It's strange though, you would need to know how to grasp what was reality whilst still in that state, but usually once you do that you revert back to knowing that your still in bed in a dream-like state. I've had times when I have read the newspapers and the stories are relevant but they are probably semi-created by my own thoughts and imagination. It's not quite reality but it's more than just a dream.

When you have this OOBE, can you see dead people? and if so, can you hump them?
Seriously, I never felt anything like that, but have had deja vu; that's really freaky.

Ok just write 1-9 on both sides of index cards and shuffle the cards and leave one on a table or dresser where you have been floating in the oobe and see if you know the number when you wake up.

I once woke up on the floor of this chick's bedroom and I had no idea how I got there. Does that count?

I swear man, that happens to me all the time when I have to be up really early and I don't want to wake up or I'm trying to wake up early and don't. I actually truly believe I got out of bed and started my day but I'd still be in bed and then suddenly oversleep! But it would be me getting out of bed over and over until I come to the realization that I'm not doing anything but lying there like I'm dreaming every 30 seconds. It sounds like the lamest excuse for missing work or being late(yes I've been late or missed for that reason) but if it happens it happens! We're only human and we can't help things like this. I relate to that 100%

Imagine going in a couple of hours late to work one days and your boss asks where the hell you've been, you reply, "Hey, don't give me that shit, asshole! I've been here since 6am... I've just not been here!"

I imagine saying to my boss, I was throwing up all night. They won't buy, "I swear I thought I got out of bed!" lol

I just got over a pretty bad fever that started Tuesday night on yesterday. Anyways Friday night I was having these weird OOBE's where I was in Heaven and one of the higher angels was yelling at me for not telling my girlfriend (who was kind enough to take me in and take care of me) for not thanking her before I passed out. So I woke up but I was so drained in energy I just fell asleep again and he yelled at me some more. If I can see myself being yelled at in Heaven by an angel that counts, right?

Dreams are weird man. Some of them are almost too real to the point where you feel like something really did happen but you don't have real proof that it did happen

Or at least wanting a sample of the smooth, succulent sin.
