The Rusev - Rock segment was really good. I think I've mentioned it a few times before too, but I really like Rusev. The evil foreigner gimmick is pretty cheesy, but Rusev and Lana play their roles really well. I also enjoy Rusev's matches.
I am absolutely loving Roadrunner Rollins and Wile E. Ambrose. It's not all comedy so the feud still feels like it isn't a joke, but I do love some humour in wrestling. Rollins as the slippery weasel is great and Ambrose reminds me of Bill Murray in a way, erratically bumping into every wall in the room before he ultimately finds what he is looking for. Adding Cena to the feud has given it a new dimension, but I hope he moves along sooner than later.
Damien Mizdow absolutely cracks me up. He mirrors absolutely everything! I really hope he gets put in a fourway title match and he and Miz hit their finisher on the other two guys in the middle of the ring, only Mizdow is pinning the legal guy and ends up winning the title.
Not sure what they are planning with the Wyatts, but they really screwed them up in the last few months.
I really can't stand AJ.
There is some cool stuff happening, but I kinda just wish it was time for the Royal Rumble already and Daniel Bryan comes back.

I read "superman" and it took me a sec to realise you meant Cena and not Reigns. I can see where you are coming from about Rollins, I guess it's a question of taste. Heels are supposed to take the short cut (joining the Authority), and once they do they rest on their laurels and have to cheat to win matches, and the power goes to their heads and they cut toolbag promos. In two years' time Rollins will be a huge babyface and the fans will be lapping his shit up. So it's goofball booking but for once it's not damaging the guy.
As for Ambrose, he's demonstrating that he has the #1 skill you must have in order to succeed in WWE: taking their silly shit and doing so well with it that the fans buy that their hero is wheeling a hot dog cart down to the ring and squirting the villains with ketchup. If you want to be a main eventer you have to be able to do silly shit. Doesn't matter if you think silly shit is a good or a bad thing in WWE, but you have to be able to do it. Unless you're Brock Lesnar. But he's the exception that proves the rule really.
I'm with you, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Other than WWE Faces suck. I seriously want Paige to fucking kill her now. So roll on the Hell in the Pink Cell match.
And oh yeah, Mizdow. It makes me wonder if they're having him do this stuff (other than for the fact that it's entertaining) to scrub the "intellectual saviour of the masses" from our memory before giving him another shot.

Is there anybody out there? No replies for a few weeks. lol.
I caught a bit of last night's show. I can't believe (nor can I understand how it happened) that Stephanie is one of the best promos in the company right now. Her bit with Cena was much ado about nothing, but it was fun watching her interacting with the crowd again. It was interesting that they mentioned time (or the future) catching up on Cena. But this is wrestling, he'll still be knocking around for at least another 5 years.
It almost felt like they couldn't think of a logical reason for Mark to turn on Big Show, so they pulled Page 1 out of the Diva Angle book and said it was "jealousy". Not buying it. Also Big Show looked like he was going to cry again.
I am officially fed up with AJ. She no-sells fucking everything and gets the better hand of women twice as big as her. I approve of Paige's shorts last night.
Mizdow was great again.
So no title match at Survivor Series either? It feels like WWE are just spinning their wheels at the moment (and I can't be bothered with TNA at all at the moment).

See off topic for why I haven't been around, also, if it doesn't involve Rollins or Ambrose, I just can't get into WWE right now. And I am getting so sick of the most american person of the week vs rusev. back in the day luger, tatanka, hogan or other great americans like the british bulldog would have finished off rusev.

I am actually loving watching Rusev run through every big, fat, stupid American who attempts to stand in his way. Cena will surely save the day, probably at WrestleMania, but until then I am enjoying it. The angle is lame but Rusev and Lana are just so good in their roles that I can't help but laugh and enjoy whatever they do. For months on end now there just isn't enough excitement in WWE to keep me that interested. There is always one or two good things going on, but they put out at least 6hrs of new shows each week, and a handful of enjoyable angles or segments just isn't good enough. Right now Rollins and Ambrose is fun to watch, as is Mizdow. I also like Gold and Stardust, but if I have to see them face the Usos one more time I'm going to wreck this place like Donald Duck would after jobbing to a window. And Cesaro, will someone let this poor bastard win a damn match already? It feels like we've been watching the same feuds for months on end also. Oh well, it will all be worth it when Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble. Yes! Please. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

I just finished this weeks Raw and my only real take away is, why are Jamie Nobel and Kane friends? Anyone else remember that time Jamie wouldn't let Kane borrow his Larry The Cable Guy tapes? That's how enemies are made for life.

It makes me laugh that they've managed to get people to give a shit about Ryback in the space of three weeks. Good for him. It just shows that when they really want to try, they can get these guys over.
I wonder if Rock is going to be a surprise member of Cena's team after one of the others gets taken out on the night of the event. That would seem to set up Rock vs HHH at Wrestlemania.
Anyone else got this tiny feeling in the back of their head that Dan Bryan is never wrestling again?
Still not a lot going on in the midcard. Oh right, Adam Rose turned heel on the Bunny. Okay. It would be funny if the Rosebuds were actually a doomsday cult and they were all partying 24/7 because they think there's only a few months left till the end of the world. Well I would find it funny, anyhow.
Creepy Boner is nearly dead for AJ, still going strong for Paige and Nikki though.

![](http://i.imgur.com/XuF1o8k.gif) WWE looks an awful lot like TNA from a couple years ago. The Authority are an overstuffed power-stable overstaying its welcome a la Hogan-Bischoff Era, and Rollins is their heel Jeff Hardy. Erik Rowan randomly, TNAishly, turns face to side with Cena. You've got a PPV Main Event that has the potential to be a total clusterfuck of turns and double-crosses... and which probably won't resolve anything... much like TNA. You've got a fucking terrible commentary team, much like TNA. And you've got comedic midcarders, some interesting prospects, a couple of old-school angles and exactly 4 women's wrestlers plodding along trying to entertain us, so most weeks you can get a least a couple of amusing moments and a good match or two. Also they teased us with Sting, but unlike TNA they didn't deliver. I don't usually mean to sound like a BABFICW, and I try to look on the positive side because at the end of the day it's just entertainment... but god, I'm finding it really hard to care right now. Fucking power struggle angles, man. Also, holy shit Nikki is looking GOOD these days. As I've always said, fake tits >>> skank tattoo.

It makes me laugh that they've managed to get people to give a shit about Ryback in the space of three weeks. Good for him. It just shows that when they really want to try, they can get these guys over. I think it also makes them look really bad also considering Ryback was already in a position that was probably even better than his current one but all they did with all that previous hard work was throw it away for another predictable Cena feud before throwing it all away completely. I think fans have always wanted to like Ryback, or they are at least drawn to him more than most other wrestlers, so it's good to see him get himself back on track. That would be cool. The silence has been deafening the last few months. Any time I look for an update or an estimated return date all I can find is speculation and contradictory stories. I really hope he can come back at some point. Adam Rose did refer to himself as a God recently. I still want to see the Rosebuds turn heel in the fashion you suggested a while back. Have Rose do his stagedive but, only for the Rosebuds to move away and watch as Rose falls to the ground with a sickening thud. I'm glad others have been seeing this too and I'm not just being a negative nancy. WWE has been like Groundhog Day the last few months. The same matches are done over and over again, with nothing different even happening most of the time. Every match involving Kane seems to ends in a DQ, for example, when Kane uses a weapon on his opponent or he runs in from outside the ring to break up a cover. Same thing over and over. I thought in the lead up to WrestleMania, then at WrestleMania, WWE were on the verge of hitting their stride and primed to give us some really entertaining times with new ideas, new angles, new wrestlers and a newly attained sense of change. However, they have really whizzed most of that away from April onwards and right now things are bad. With them trying to sell their network I thought they would have done much, much better in order to both attract fans and, most importantly, keep current fans interested. I know I've complained about this before, but after WrestleMania, Cesaro looked like he was primed to take the main event scene by storm as a rugged, no-nonsense babyface, but he has been the latest victim of their ridiculous booking where they pick out someone to make a fool of in order to take away any and all momentum they had previously gained. Their network is obviously failing, and by having a product that is deteriorating to TNA-like standards, it's all their own fault. They really need something surprising/shocking to happen to inject a spark back into things and they need to sustain it too.

I think fans have always wanted to like Ryback, or they are at least drawn to him more than most other wrestlers, so it's good to see him get himself back on track. They caught lightning in a bottle first time round - you'd think they can't afford to piss away opportunities like that (rather than trying so hard to make Roman Reigns happen), but they did. Perhaps it's the curse of Nexus. That's something TNA did a couple years ago, and it didn't work. I saw a clip of Triple H on Smackdown, and I had to laugh when he announced that everyone EXCEPT Cena will be fired if Team HHH wins. Yet another wacky TNA-ish stipulation. I mean, it's beautiful really - they know nobody's believing Cena is going anywhere, so they add this wrinkle to the stipulation. I mean, usually in wrestling you're invested in seeing who is going to win the match. With this match, they're essentially selling "what wacky (shocking! surprising!) plot twist are we going to see"? Are Erick Rowan and Luke Harper secretly in cahoots? Is Ryback going to be a team player? Or Rusev, for that matter? Is Cena going to set up a deckchair on the ramp and watch things with a smug look on his face, knowing his job is safe? Is Big Show going to break Tommy Dreamer's PPV crying record? If only this dude had something like an iron-clad contract! Is Randy Orton going to RKO somebody out of nowhere? Is Triple H really going to bugger off for more than 2 weeks if he loses? You don't think he has an army of cronies lined up to make this a Magnus Special? Is everybody going to stumble and trip over Jamie Noble and fall into a hole in the middle of the ring? Are THEY here???

I don't think there was anything wrong with the way ryback has been booked. I don't think he was really that over the first time, or should I say, he was definitely not appreciated. Some fans wanted to like him while others were like, who the fuck is this guy just squashing everyone? Why are we supposed to like him? I think his heel run and tag run with axel helped him develop an actual personality. I even remember thinking if they can combine his heel personality with his feed me more gimmick he can probably have a more successful go around. It's also kind of like he paid his dues and earned respect from the fans. He's not a "who the fuck is this guy?" character anymore.

I dunno man, people were going crazy for Ryback in the run-up to his match against Punk. If he had beaten Punk for the Title in the Cell, that would have solidified him as a legit player, I think it was a missed opportunity. They still could have switched the title back to Punk at the next PPV when they debuted the Shield. Costing the dude the title has a lot more gravitas and would have been a much hotter feud.
I do agree that his tag team with Axel has helped him though.

I don't think he was ready for the title(or even the win). He was getting over to a degree but something felt forced with Ryback in his first face run. That's the best way I can put it. Now it seems like he can be that guy they were trying to make him into the first time. I actually think he's great now. Before I felt like he was just kind of a big asshole bully just playing a tough guy hero. But now he's a tough guy hero ACTING like a big asshole bully and it is great.
