Naitch, I think the Sarcasm Airways 747 just soared clear over your head. It was a great fight. I thought it was a draw, but if either guy deserved to win it was Hendo. He just completely gassed after the third round, but dominated up to that point.

Sarcasm Airways has a tendency to do that to me over written word.

It's like a Stealth 747 sometimes.
Pretty cool hype vid for Brock vs Overeem.

That ought to be an interesting fight. I haven't really seen Overeem against real competition so I'm not sure what he can do to a guy like Lesnar. I'm pretty sure if the fight goes to the ground its Lesnar's though. I know Overeem can punch like a son of a b!tch, and Lesnar doesn't take a punch well. I guess that makes that fight a toss up.

I think you pretty much summed it up. Overeem prefers to stand and Brock will have the wrestling advantage on the ground. I think Overeem is the favourite but I'm definitely not counting Brock out.

Well UFC 140 is over. Here are my quick thoughts.
Chan Sung Jung (12-3) def. Mark Hominick (20-10) via KO in Round 1
-DON'T FUCK WITH JUNG! That was a 7 second fight, tied for shortest fight in the UFC.
Brian Ebersole (49-14-1) def. Claude Patrick (14-2) via split-decision
-Yay for boring lay and pray.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (20-5) def. Tito Ortiz (16-10-1) via TKO in Round 1
-I think this says more about Ortiz then Lil Nog. Ortiz's body just gave out on him. Nog took advantage of that.
Frank Mir (16-5) def. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (33-7-1) via submission (kimura) in Round 1
-First Mir is the first guy to KO Big Nog and in the rematch Mir breaks his arm. Mir is a bad man and Big Nog is a bad man, so Mir must be an evil son of a b!tch if he can do that. Or Nog needs to learn how to tap.
Jon "Bones" Jones (15-1) def. Lyoto Machida (17-3) via submission (guillotine choke) in Round 2
-Randy Couture has been reborn in the UFC as a skinny black guy. When you take a guy like Machida, and when your done with him hes spitting up all over himself, your for fucking real.

I thought it was a good event.
The Korean Zombie doesn't work by the hour. That was a funny fight.
That second fight sucked.
Those body shots must have hurt. Cool finish.
The Mir vs Nog fight was great. Tap or snap indeed.
It was looking good for Machida in the first round, but as soon as he got that cut it was all downhill. I thought he had a good chance of beating Jones, as good a chance as anyone else in the division at least, can't see too many challengers on the horizon who can potentially beat him.

Turns out UFC 141 is tonight not tomorrow so here my quick predictions.
Featherweight Bout: Nam Phan vs. Jimy Hettes
-Phan because I've heard of him. Not a good reason but its all I've got.
Light Heavyweight Bout: Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Alexander Gustafsson
-Matyushenko, hes undefeated in UFC if you don't count that little loss to Jon Jones.
Welterweight Bout: Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks
-I predict Fitch and he will go on to fight Nick Diaz for the Interim Welterweight Title.
Lightweight Bout: Donald Cerrone vs. Nate Diaz
-Cerrone, because hes from Denver and I know hes a complete bad ass.
Heavyweight Bout: Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem
-Lesnar, he won the last time he came off an illness and he wins every time someone says they'll send him back to WWE. Both things that have happened in the buildup to this fight.

I also think Brock will win. I can see him taking Overeem to the ground and wearing him down and stopping him somewhere from the first to the third round. No way is it going the full five.
I also hope Cerrone wins but I think Diaz will win.
Hopefully The Janitor wins too.

I've seen a couple of Overeem fights today, hes a power striker but thats the only trick in his book. On the ground a wrestler or even a motivated person can have there way with him.
Diaz was a bit of a cunt to Cerrone at the weigh ins, Cerrone gets mad, Cerrone kills. Hes the one guy I can say I've seen fight in the minor leagues, so I literally can never pick against him.

Sherdog.com is reporting that Brock Lesnar lost his main event fight against Alistair Overeem at tonight's UFC 141 PPV, and following the bout Lesnar announced his retirement from UFCYeah Lesnar retired before he left the Octagon. Overeem delivered a nice body kick in the first round that sent Brock down. After the surgeries and stuff, that was it for Brock. Hell of a 8 fight career.

Shit, you really can't make your mark any better than he did for the amount of times he's been out there. Brock is just one of those guys that just puts a nasty dent anywhere he goes. He's just super physically gifted and has the determination to go with it

It was a pretty good show.
After Brock got hold of Overeem's leg and couldn't do anything the writing was on the wall. Not too surprising that he retired. I look forward to seeing him getting tombstoned at an upcoming WrestleMania.
I felt Diaz would box his way to a win. Surprising that Cerrone didn't once try to take him to the ground, even when a stoppage was his only hope.
Some OK KOs, pity The Janitor was on the end of one of them.

Talking about Chael Sonnen in another thread, are any of you guys looking forward to his rematch with Anderson Silva this summer? I read that they are hoping to stage it in a big outdoor stadium. Can't wait to see Chael dominate and beat Silva in front of 100,000 of his fellow Brazilian busfuckers.
Oh, and you are probably aware, but Overeem failed a drug test recently. Shocking, I know.
