APPArently TNA Impact will start airing on the Virgin-1 channel from Oct. 30th.
Thus, if the following conditions are met:
1/ I'm not otherwise engaged on a Friday evening
2/ There isn't anything else on
3/ I'm not asleep
4/ I can be arsed
I might watch it.
It is kind of amazing that TNA will be available on freeview in the UK whereas WWE will be restricted to pay TV.

I've not seen TNA for weeks because everything electric is turning against me and isn't working well, or at all.
It's usually worth a look. Mixed with good and bad. I watch for the Mother Shitty Machine Guns, Sally Boy and Rocco's photograph, J.B. backstage interviews, Dr. Stevie and Daffney, O.D.B., the original Beautiful People, Beer Money and Cody Deaner. Maybe some other stuff too.

See, when I say "I might watch it" I mean have it on in the background.
And then jack off when Daffney's on.

And then jack off when Daffney's on. That went without saying.

If the show sucks then I could always turn the TV off, and watch the blank screen while imagining Daffney wrestling in sexy outfits.
Whilst jacking off.

I'll tell you what. Impact is better than Raw. I'm not even exaggerating. It's a better show

So I just got done watching TNA Impact for the first time ever.
I liked Jason Statham / Desmond Wolfe. And Tara's still got it.
But man, the rest of it felt like a bunch of stuff and I really started getting fed up with it less than halfway through. They were constantly plugging a fucking press conference as the most exciting thing in the history of the world. They also had some other guy give an earth-shattering announcement, which was changing some conceputally-nebulous title to a different nebulous concept.
Every backstage promo felt like a bunch of schoolgirls bickering at each other. I appreciate I'm completely new so I won't know any backstory or anything, but... why was all this stuff happening? They never seemed to concentrate on anything long enough for it to sink in. Like, why was Kong randomly running in? When is Nash getting his $60,000?
It's like, Foley turning on Stevie is a big deal, right? But it was just... there, you know? And then they cut to something else and talk about Hulk Hogan some more. And then something else happens.
And yes, Lacey Von Erich's chokeslam was hilarious.
Is it always this boring?

I wouldn't say boring. I would say inconsistent. Sometimes you get a really good Impact and sometimes you get a really lame Impact. As soon as they seem to pick up their momentum, they tend to shoot their loads right away. The Main Event Mafia JUST ended and lasted a year. That was the longest most consistent thing TNA has ever done.
Oh, as a heads up, Nash won't be getting his $60,000. Apparently he lashed out backstage and got suspended(real life)
Eric Young and the World Elite are kind of interesting when you watch them a little more
The Desmond/Angle thing is brand knew so I don't even know what to think of it yet. It seems like they have real big plans for Desmond.
Matt Morgan has a lot of potential. So does Hernandez. They just need the right program(something that TNA tends to lack in).
Abyss and Foley, I understand the feud and why it was done but it doesn't need to go any further.
I'm not 100% sure what Rhino is talking about yet but regardless, they're trying to build a conspiracy angle where TNA is against some of them
Unlike Raw though, TNA has no problem exposing all of their talent. They don't just keep guys on the sidelines for no reason. They mainly need better storylines and sometimes they overly intertwine the show with character connection and make it a bit confusing and jumbled, whereas Raw, doesn't do enough of that.
In the end though V, if you watch Impact a few more times you just may start finding it to be better than raw! At least it's a wrestling show. I'll give it that

It was more a problem with the presentation than what they were trying to do. If you have 57 different things happen and don't let any of them sink in then it just becomes a paste. And you don't need an angle with every single match. I will say it wasn't a complete disaster though. Maybe with a second show they'll have more time for each angle and chill the fuck out just a little bit.

I feel that has always been TNA's biggest problem, and it annoys me too. Something significant can have just happened in the ring, then suddenly we are whisked backstage with Lauren who is with Sting tying his bootlaces.

So I watched this week's show and I thought they did a much better job of pacing everything. Although they came back from a break and someone was beating up a ref, which was stupid. Also, the matches were all really short.
Dixie Carter's motivational speech was weird and awful. Can't blame the audience being bored out of their skulls. Would've been hilarious if a bunch of them decided to quit.
I like Raul Ibanez. I thought he was really good in the opening promo. I also liked the two main suspects for Styles' attacker being in the ring when he attacks again. This shit isn't rocket science.
I also like Desmond Wolfe. Although Kurt Angle talking on the phone during his thing was hilarious and retarded.
I really didn't like the commentators yapping about Hulk Hogan every 30 seconds. Call the fucking match! WWE comentators call the match and they'll work in a reference to the main event or a PPV during a lull. These clowns start blabbing about Hogan and Dixie Carter during the start of a match and it sounds completely forced. Jesus.
At least I could understand what the fuck Rhyno was talking about this week.
Even 30 seconds of Daffney is great...
... although, this Sarita chick is a total cutie-pie and also a fox.
This show is too long, I drifted out for a while in the middle. One of the great things about watching Smackdown via legal means is that it's only 75 minutes without the ads and the fastforwardable recaps/"Earliers"/PPV hype/other such bullshit. I have to say... on balance... that I enjoyed this show though.

It's got it's good moments and shitty moments. It's by far the most inconsistent wrestling show on tv. Says more than Raw. Raw's consistent, but in the worst possible way

What did you think of Dixie's speech (assuming you saw it)? Apparently it was a legit speech which amazed me even more. "If you're not 100% behind me and my bonkers business decisions, then find work elsewhere" is a terrible motivational speech. Doesn't she realise that she needs them a lot more than they need her? Everyone looked bored and/or pissed off.

It was actually a hypocritical speech in itself. She basically said, follow my orders or leave. Then she said, we are a team. To me, that's not working as a team. If anything, Dixie should have said, there are some people in the company that have as much, if not, MORE experience than me and I'll be more than happy to listen to your ideas. Acting like you know more about the business than guys like Sting, Scott Steiner, Mick Foley, and Kurt Angle is just arrogant. Booker T has his own school. I kind of understand now why he wasn't getting along with management and quit
Hulk Hogan is a different story. He earned the right to be trusted to run a company even though he didn't earn the right to be trusted as a human being

He earned the right to be trusted to run a company even though he didn't earn the right to be trusted as a human being I don't think he can be trusted at all. He's went to TNA because his finances are being sucked dry and because WWE would only want him very sparingly. I just think he's there to drain out as much cash as he can. Whether he "gives back" or helps TNA's cause, I doubt he cares.
