I've got a hunch that all 16 competitors are going to have the ever loving shit beat out of them by the time this ones through.

Is Dana White still on the shows?

Yes. Mostly for they're first day there and then when he needs to gives his semi-annual "DO YOU WANT TO BE A FUCKING FIGHTER?" speech. Honestly most of the time these days hes still off promoting upcoming events and what have you.

I really just can't stand the guy. So if there is a chance of being exposed to him, I'll try to avoid it. I'll probably look up the video of Kimbo getting battered when it happens.

LOL. The reason I'm laughing is because I remember the very first Ultimate Fighter show and Dana kept asking the question, "do you want to be a fuckin fighter?" and my friend and I would imitate him giving that speech every time we watched the show and imitate his squinty face while doing it.
As I said above, when my friend and I imitated that speech, I couldn't stand Dana White. There was just something about him that pissed me off. But the more I watched UFC and saw Dana speak more and interact with the fighters more, the guy is actually a pretty cool guy and he's very standup and professional. He also takes care of his fighters too. Probably more so than Vince McMahon. He just doesn't have the money that Vince has

I know he's not the only one, most do in MMA/UFC, but it annoys me how, when I've seen him, he completely over-exaggerates things. I remember there was one fighter who had a skin infection, and Dana White called in a skin specialist and started saying, "Ah, this skin specialist guy, I know him, I'm going to listen closely to what he says. I'd trust him with my life!". I saw him on a TV station over here a while back and he said, "This sport (MMA/UFC) will be the biggest sport in the world in ten years!". I've no problem with someone promoting their sport or business, but I doubt even he believes what he said is true. He just annoys me. Most UFC fighters annoy me. The shameless advertising and plugging of merch annoys me. Sometimes with UFC I feel as though I'm watching a commercial with some fighting, not a fighting show with some commercials.

What merch are they shilling so much? I never see any ads for tshirts or anything. Maybe some UFC PPVs but I see those ads on almost every station. I think Dana is wrong about the most popular sport thing (even in 10 years). Obviously soccer and American football are going to keep that from happening.

It's the PPV's where I've seen all the shilling. You can't enjoy a knock-out without the commentator screaming about Bud beer tasting better! Then after the fight, the fighters are clamouring to get their t-shirts and caps on and spend about a minute at the end of their interviews plugging shit. It pisses me off.

They don't mention it as often as you say. But if Bud Light is sponsoring the finish video you have to mention them. Thats just the way shit rolls. Its also something I've never noticed before.

One of the last fights I saw, the commentator actually plugged Bud beer straight after the ref waved off the fight. The ref stepped in, and as the victor was getting up the commentator goes, "... and it is all over! Blah blah Budweiser beer, the difference is drinkability!"

And thats why Bud Light pays them huge amounts of money. Its business 101.

I know why there do it. But for someone who has paid whatever it is for the PPV, you would think they would be spared something like that when trying to enjoy the most exciting part of a fight (the finish).

You just love to let useless shit bother you, don't you? Just get past it and enjoy the fights.
