Team Bischoff vs Team Cena
I assumed this had been bumped because of Gordon Brown vs Mrs Duffy the other day.

To emphasise how shitty the old manager (Steve McClaren a.k.a. Steve McBischoff a.k.a. The Wally With The Brolly) is, the new manager has guided England to 8 wins out of 8. Funnily enough, I read today that Steve McClaren managed FC Twente to their first-ever Dutch League Championship. The really funny thing is that the second-place team, Ajax, had a goal difference of PLUS 86! How in blue hell do you have a goal difference of +86 and not win the fricking league? So McClaren has passed on the Bischoff baton (football manager version) to whoever the manager of Ajax is.

Martin Jol is the Ajax manager. Plus 86 and they didn't win the league? That has to be some sort of mistake. Or they must have won their games about 4-0 every week, had a few 0-0 draws and lost by the odd goal when they were beaten.

I googled it: www.soccerstats.com/team.asp?league=holland&teamid=2Look at all those 4-0 wins. And if I'm reading that correctly, they won 14 straight to close out the season. Essentially they must have squashed the jobbers and Batista'd their title shots to bischoff the league title. +86! That's almost 2.5 goal difference a game! lol

LOL That's another one I have to use more. Whenever a team or athlete can't get a big win, I'm going to say he "Batista'd" his chance
The Buffalo Bills were in the Superbowl 4 or 5 years in a row in the 90s and they lost everyone of them. That's a perfect example of Batisting title wins

I think in baseball, the Cleveland Indians (last World Series win: 1948) put together a behemoth of a team in the late 90's, and then Batista'd all their title shots: 1995: 100-44 regular season. Jobbed the World Series to Atlanta. 1996: 99-62 Jobbed in the first round of the playoffs. 1997: 86-75 Jobbed the World Series to the Florida Marlins, a team that did not exist five years prior. 1998: 89-73 Jobbed in the second round. 1999: 97-65 They scored more than a thousand runs in the regular season. Job in the first round again.

I hope my team doesn't Batista their title shot in a couple of weeks. Who's your team or were you being rhetorical? I was wracking my brains trying to think of another example of Batista-ing title shots, and that was the best I could come up with. I guess (logically) having a dominant force jobbing at the critical moment doesn't happen as often as you'd think. I guess the mighty Persian Empire jobbing to Greece in the Greco-Persian War makes Darius I the earliest recorded Batista in history.

HBK actually Batista'd all his title shots. He returned in August 2002, won the world heavyweight title from Trips in November, then lost it the next month. For the next 7 1/2 years he Batista'd EVERY title shot he had. He never won another world title since his return in 2002

I hope my team doesn't Batista their title shot in a couple of weeks. Who's your team or were you being rhetorical? I'm a Dundee United fan. They are playing in the Scottish Cup (Equivalent to your F.A. Cup) Final in a couple of weeks. Outside of the Old Firm they have been the best team in the country this season and winning the cup would be well deserved. They are playing a jobber team from a little town in the Highlands called Ross County, so they should win, but I don't want to count my chickens unless they Batista their chance. The last time they won anything was back in 1994 when they won the Scottish Cup beating Rangers 1-0. I was ten years old. So it's been a long wait to have something to celebrate. I'm quite confident they'll win though and it'll be a good day to be an Arab. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

LOL. Good one.
The first half wasn't so easy going for United, but as soon as they scored the first goal it was CenaTime. It was great to see them win. Ross County deserve a lot of credit too, though. They are just a small club from the Highlands and managing to get to the final, knocking out Celtic in the semi-final, was a great achievement for them. It can get irritating with the two big Glasgow clubs winning everything here in Scotland, so to see a couple of smaller clubs deservedly get to the final of the cup was great. To win it was even better.
