Did anyone else catch this last night on Spike? The UFC put on a truly awesome event. Better then some PPVs. I'll try not to spoil it too much in case you missed it and want to catch a replay. But some of the things I loved was
-The dude too stupid to give up so his arm got broken -Two awesome legit knock outs - The dude whos forehead swelled up threw me off a little -Mike Swick making all the hype in the world for himself.

I actually saw a few of the fights. Josh Koscheck knocked the fuck out of that one dude. I also saw the one with the guy who formed a baseball on his forehead from all the knee shots

You missed a bunch of good fights dude. I mean every fight was entertaining. None of those you need Joe Rogan to explain Ju Jitsu fights going on.

I saw a few more fights than those two. I actually saw a good 70% of it. It was pretty damn exciting

If more UFC shows were like this one I'd actually buy more of them.

Did you see any of the fights the other night on UFC 92? There were some upsets.
Quintin Rampage Jackson knocks out Wanderlei Silva, one of the best fighters in the world, in round 1
Frank Mir kicked the shit out of Noguiera (Lesnar/Mir 2 is in the works now!)
Also, my friend and I were watching the event with some of his co-workers and they all said Forrest Griffin was going to beat Rashaad Evans and we were the only ones saying Evans was Knocking Forest out for the belt. For some reason people don't see the hot streak Evans is on right now

I was at my parents house when that happened and I can't handle the East Coast time for shows like that. I read the results and Mir surprised me. I thought Evans was going to win too. The dudes a beast. Hell hes the guy that started the Chuck Lidell losing streak.

I thought Mir would lose too. I'm starting to wonder if some of the UFC is fixed or got the Vegas payroll because Noguiera fought like he didn't have a heart beat and now ironically we get to see Mir vs/ Lesnr 2 for the title. My friend and I said, isn't it ironic how all these UFC events almost come together like wrestling storylines? lol

I don't think the UFC is fixed yet. Its just that in MMA one false move and your pretty much fucked. It shows more in the littler promotions with the 0-0 guys.

I wouldn't be surprised if there has been a few fixed contests, but for the most part, title matches and big draws, I don't think there has been any fixed UFC matches. I'm with you guys though, it's only a matter of time before someone takes a dive in a big match.

When Shamrock fought Rich Franklin, he slipped twice in the first round and it looked so fake. The second time he slipped Franklin pummeled him and it was over. That's when my buddy and I started questioning the "fix" in the UFC

I just took all that as Shamrock finally left his prime. I was kind of hoping he would retire.

Shamrock is a brawler. It worked when they stuck him in the ring with street fighters with hardly any rules. Once it became more MMA oriented Shammy just couldn't cut the mustard anymore. Being 40 didn't help either

I wish there was more old UFC footage. I would probably watch it a lot more if they have various jobber contests where it was just some random guys going at it without any of the technical shit.
