Then you want the PPVs or main events. The more you think about it suddenly it seems easier to turn a dollar at a wrestling event.

I think you're both right and brought up great points.
For MS, I don't really buy that "so and so was better in the Indys" either because if he was better in the Indys, that's the wrestler/character that would get pushed on a main roster. The limitations in the ring in WWE and TNA are totally the companies' faults because most of the young guys(with no family relations in the business especially) don't make it to the big leagues because they got lucky. But there's obviously some reason why they all get repackaged when they come up to the main roster. They have to appeal to all masses and not just true blue wrestling fans. Now we're talking merchandise and crowd reaction. It doesn't matter how awesome we might think a guy in the indys is.
For Naitch, it's definitely true that guys in the Indys work harder. They have to. They have nothing to lose, only to gain so they really have to look at the indys as their college career to get into the pros. So it doesn't surprise me that you'll always see amazing 5 star matches with guys who will go on to become future stars. Also, you being a real fan of the in ring craft, I can see why you love the indys so much. Even the indy guys that are good with the mic spill their hearts and guts into a promo. I think that's what makes the indys so special and appreciative for so many diehard wrestling fans and that's why the argument of "he was better in the indys" will always be an argument where no one is wrong.
The only guy I've ever seen WWE actually bring to the roster as his indy character is CM Punk and he's actually not that exciting these days. Then again, Punk is totally not being utilized at his best. You can see so much untapped potential in things you can do with him. Example, the roofie angle with maybe him getting suspended for 30 days on tv like it's real. If there's no such thing as bad tasteless press, I don't see anything wrong there

Evan Bourne is pretty much Matt Sydal with a diffrent name. Cocky kid who knows hes good and proves it. Alright maybe hes not cocky yet but he knows hes good and he proves it.

Champ, since you kinda brought it up this is really why I love the indies.
1. Like you said, they have to bust they're asses a little harder. But they aren't working four matches a week like dudes in WWE either.
2. The production value. It sucks for the most part but to me it adds a bit more of a big fight atmosphere. Like only the winner is getting paid type of thing.
3. Its pretty awesome to see guys like Punk or Joe to go on to TV promotions and win titles and fight guys like Angle and Sting.

See the 3rd thing you said is why I think I would love the Indies if I watched them more. I love seeing guys who are basically nobodies and watch their careers turn into something big. The older I get the more I love seeing stars being made from the bottom of the barrel. I like watching guys no one really knows and think "he's going to be huge someday" and it actually happens. It's even cool when the guy you least expect breaks out of nowhere and becomes a big name

It is awesome dude. We all know about my Shelley boner from back in the day and no I get to see him on TV!
I've seen Evan Bourne go from some dude that ROH hired every couple months to job to the lower midcard guys, to a guy with storylines, to an uppermidcarder in ROH to a guy that beat Kane in a singles match.

See that's awesome right there. Seeing this jobber named Matt Cydal in the little leagues go from that to getting pinfalls on Mark Henry in the WWE

It is man. If you catch the earliest of ROH shows they were booking London and Kendrick (and to a lesser degree Hernandez) back when they were students at HBK's school. By that June (the first show was in Feb 02) London and Kendrick were in the tourney to be the first ROH Champ. Kendrick made it to the final four iron match final and beat London in the first round. He made it further (as a student no less) then AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, and Bryan Danielson. And now he might be a tag champ with Zeke soon.

Hey Kendrick was an interim WWE champion in the scramble longer than anyone else in the scramble matches! To even be in that match and recognized as a world champion in the big leagues in any way is an accomplishment

Kendrick doesn't need a title, just his cool ass entrance.
