That's the one part I wish they'd drop, that whole Italian mobster thing. I like the idea of them coming out in suits and being high class but I don't like how the music is a rip off of the godfather and they are now a "family". I enjoyed it when they simply stuck to the respect factor

I loved them last night. When everyone but Sting jumped Joe and AJ, Sting didn't do anything when Lethal and Creed ran by for the save. He just knew those two weren't going to do anything to the MEM and he was right.
And I'll be damned, they almost made Rhino interesting for the first time since his ECW days.

I was just thinking about that last night too. I like how Sting rarely bothers taking part in the beatdowns. He just stands and looks with a disgusted approval. The only guy he put his hands on last night was Rhino. He punched him once and kicked him and the rest of the night he just chilled out and watched
Yeah no shit man! Rhino had a good night. His promos came off very heartfelt and he was just very convincing. It was also the first time in a long time for me too where I was actually really entertained by Rhino

Rhino used to scare the shit out of me man. Heyman just knew how to book him as a scary ass monster.

Yeah, I liked Rhino too last week. For the last couple of years he's just been jumping into meaningless feuds with anyone who farts in his direction. He seems to have a purpose now.
Also, I laughed at Shelley and Sabin's excuse for being late, because they were watching the second season of Dexter and playing Grand Theft Auto. They come of as such dicks. It's funny.

Shelly definitely has that knack to play one of the most humorous pricks in the business. He and Kevin Nash can't be topped in the sarcastic humor department.

I'm glad Shelly is still getting some love around here. I would love to see him go back as a singles wrestler sometime. That way he can really shine in the ring. You have to watch between the moves with Shelly to fall in love with his ring work.

One criticism I have of Shelley's wrestling is that, in my opinion, he tries too hard to sell everything. Almost every move he will sell like someone shot him, but only for about 0.5 seconds and onto the next move, and when he delivers a move he poses and looks around at the crowd too much for my liking.

That selling I think isn't just Shelly, it's most of the x-division driven wrestlers. They're required to put on such high paced action that they almost can't sell long enough to keep the match more concentrated. To me that's one of the biggest problems in TNA. Those super fast paced matches don't tell a story.

I know it's not just him, it is most, if not all of the X-division guys, but I do feel Shelley hams things up more than most.

I think it works when Shelly hams things up because it speaks volumes about his character. He's that guy that everyone knows should be taken serious but he's not because he doesn't take himself seriously. That's what I like about the Shelly/Foley angle. It's like Foley is the one guy that realized Shelly needs a kick in the ass because he has all the talent in the world, but continuously behaves like a jackass. I just feel it all kind of ties in the reailty with the kayfabe. People that understand what makes a great wrestler know that real life Shelly has what it takes to be a top performer in the business, but in kayfabe, it's like Shelly shits on himself simply because he has no respect for anyone or anything in the business, not even himself. I just find him very interesting these days.

I just want to go on record and say Shelley is THE best seller in WWE or TNA. You have to watch his indy work to figure it out though. He had a title match with Bryan Danielson and Shelley was selling an ear, leg, arm and neck all at the same time. The dude is crazy good at his job.

But Naitch, everyone is better in the Indies. I never really buy that argument that "____ was better in the Indies". What you're saying is true, but everyone has the same basic restrictions on them in either TNA or WWE. I'm not saying Shelley is a bad seller or actor, I just feel he panders a little too much.

Your right man. The indies are basically your resume for your job interview. But its also hard to sell for too long when your restricted to four minutes.

True. Personally, I would rather watch a slower match with selling than a four minute orgasm of flippy-floppy kicks and roll ups where pain doesn't exist.
