If anyone is a fan of Richard Pryor or is interested in seeing an awesome unedited standup, his standup "here and now" is on tonight at 1am on the secret stash. Surprisingly, as much as I am into standup comedy I never saw a full unedited Pryor standup and he's arguably the best. I have old 45s of his standup here that my father picked up like 30 years ago but I heard it about 10 years ago and it's not the same when you don't get the visual delivery. The one I heard was on the 45 was called, "That Nigger's Crazy". Same with my Carlin 45s. It's not the same as when you can see him perfom as opposed to just listening. I still have a turn table too. I just don't know if it still works. But Pryor is HIGHLY recommended if you like standup

I would totally watch this, but I don't think I could ever stay up that late anymore. I think the last time I stayed up that late was my wedding night and I was asleep by 1:05. DVR it? Maybe I can check it out at your house soon.

I think the magic of Richard Pryor was that he didn't tell jokes, he simply told stories but he was just so funny he could make any story hilarious.

I actually did dvr it because I was really tired last night. I watched some of it today. It's true he doesn't really tell jokes. He talks to the crowd and fucks with them a little and then he was talking about having a hangover and what it's like being married to a black chick as opposed to a white chick. He's fuckin funny

Story telling is a finer point of stand up. It seems to be getting lost but it was definitely Pryor's strength.

I noticed that story telling comedians always seem to go further than joke telling comedians. It's all about the delivery and people appreciate goofy real life experiences
