The team that makes those hype videos. Anyone that could get me psyched for like a Mark Henry match is awesome. Because Mark ain't doing that on his own. Its all the video hype people. Sometimes its the best part of the show. Like the Edge/Taker hype video they have out right now, thats the tits. I don't know what they are getting paid but it probably isn't enough.

I have a post match video story. When I went to the Bash, we just sat there during the Jericho/Shawn match and you just see Jericho punching Shawn in the eye after opening his eye up and this goes on for about 5 minutes to the point where it almost got boring because there was no intriguing back and forth action, obviously with no announcers to tell the story of emotions in the match. Then they announced Jericho as the winner because Shawn couldn't compete anymore and I thought, oh ok the match is over. Would have liked to have seen a better outcome but I understand they are going with the broken eye story. Ok, next match The next night on Raw, the black and white screen comes on, the music of some sort of judgement day and agony kicks in, and video clips of Jericho hitting Shawn in the eyes in slow motion with a boom in the background making it look so deadly and the announcers voices edited in the background, MY GOD, that's enough Chris! How much more can Shawn Michaels take?!! This is appauling! Shawn Michaels may never compete again! Then they show Jericho deliver that final slow motion blow like Drago did to Apollo Creed and he went down for good. In other words, it's amazing the theatrics that they add to the feuds through videos. All I saw was 2 guys in the ring, one guy kayfabes an eye injury and the match is over because he can't continue....Ok. The next night they made it into the sickest display of heinous actions by Jericho and made Shawn look like he was a dying hero. It's amazing the difference of watching 2 guys work a match live with no announcers and what they turn it into through video recaps or displays. I agree Naitch, the video guys really are MVP's. They are the ones that make you by into the soap opera part of it

Thats intresting. Live the crowd didn't have a friggin clue. And probably the PPV paying audience didn't really see at as super huge. But that hype team you might think that Jericho was ripping out HBKs eye.
The HBK/Flair after WM is another good one.
Have you seen the Edge/Taker one hyping Summer Slam? Without Taker actually being on TV in two months he still came out looking like a threat. Just the way they spliced in second long clips of him. They make those videos so fast too. Its just amazing.

They always know how to make Taker look so deadly and menacing before a return and I like how they are showing sides of Edge losing his marbles and completely going insane. They spliced it into something that makes you think, DAMN this match is going to be the shit!

Those guys are just great. They are like the Don Kings of WWE.

They are the ones that make you by into the soap opera part of it I've wondered whether this is a reason why some guys don't get over, they don't play to the crowds, or do mannerisms or facial expressions (or talk smack like Victoria WHO'S THE CRAZY pregnant dog NOW > widows peak to Mickie) because they expect the commentators and the production crew to do the selling for them, to the TV audiences.

I think I touched on this a while back and I definitely agree that the production and pre-match packages are what really sells the matches. Over the last one or two years, it's gradually been improving and at the moment some of the hype packages are very, very good. The Orton - Hardy build up was good enough watching it develop over the weeks until the rumble but the packages added that little bit more to it and by the Rumble I was on the edge of my seat hoping, yet not believing, that Hardy could pull off the win.
