It was a bomb! We brought about 7 fans and the bass was too loud and the vocals were too low. That's one of the biggest clubs to play in the city and they'll probably never ask us back. I'm pissed man. Everyone in the place even said it was so unfair because the other bands brought so many friends and fans but we blew them away. Not even to be conceited but I knew we were better but we're not popular yet so we have to take the backseat to these fuckin hack. I've been doing this for 15 years now and I've paid my dues and so did my but. It's almost heartbreaking because these bands all suck and I know we don't and it's frustrating as fuck

Unlike these hacks, you're not sucking music producer's dicks in dingy alleys. You still have your self respect, man.

I know. Thanks man. It's just frustrating because when you form a band, good or bad, it starts out as a popularity contest and all of our friends and family all have a wife and/or kids so they can't make it. 8 years ago I was in a band that wasn't even as good as the one I'm in now and we brought a huge crowd everytime and it helped us gain the respect of the clubs in the city and we brought people because word got out about us. But we don't now because we're older and our friends have more important lives and I totally understand why people don't come and see us. I just wish we had that one opportunity to prove ourselves to music fans in general and it would help us get the ball rolling. The people that actually came for us said it was so unfair in life that we didn't have a crowd because the other bands friends would have went crazy for us. This business blows

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, does it make a noise? Yes.
If a band member of some shitty band sucks the shriveled dick of a music promoter, is he a devoid of self respect and full of gay? Yes.
Remember that.
I'm just joking about, but if it's something that makes you feel good then all you can do is keep trying. I remember I saw a program on TV once, I think it was about the flaming lips and those guys were just going about their everydays lives, working, having families, going to jail, getting hooked on drugs, etc, you know, the usual stuff people do. Then one day when a lot of them were in their middle ages, things just kinda took off for them. I don't really believe that if you try hard and be good, good things will eventually come to you, but things can change completely sometimes in an instant. Just keep you're head up.

Sorry to hear that a larger crowed couldn't be there to support you. But look at this way, all those bands are probably local to the NYC scene and probably not that good. Your band has more talent, and you have fun doing it, isn't that all that matters?

Dude, you probably have like the fifth best band in NYC right now. Right behind Sick of it All, Hatebreed, Bio-hazard and Type O Negative, you guys.

Thanks ya'll. I was definitely upset about the outcome but we are still pending to be on satellite radio and cdbaby.com has songs and cds for sale. Hopefully if we can create a buzz like that we can get more respect. I just say I know we're better than these bands, not to be arrogant, but because I've been in so many bands and heard so many bands that I know when a band has what it takes or not now. The reason I'm in this band is because our material isn't trendy but it's timeless with the guitar soling and heavy riffs and we have hooks. We've had nothing but great feedback from the people that have heard it
