It's pretty surprising that they've been able to hold off doing a Rumble for the Title for so long.
Anyway, two weeks out, I've looked at what the bookmakers are thinking with the help of a comparison site, and there are three clear favourites and another borderline case. Plus a load of jobbers and comedy bets (Donald Trump!). The prices listed are the best, i.e. highest, that you can get amongst a number of bookmakers. Also they are in decimal - so a price of 12 means you get $12 back (including yer stake) on a $1 wager.
Any prices that look good to you? Gotta say that 67 for the Rock looks interesting.
FAVOURITES: Roman Reigns 2.75 Triple H 3 - it is 2016, ladies and gentlemen. I can totally see it though Brock Lesnar 5 CONTENDERS: Kevin Owens 12 Dean Ambrose 15 - quite a spread for Ambrose, a lot of companies are only offering 6-7 which would be borderline favourite territory Daniel Bryan 21 Bray Wyatt 26 - again, many offering only 13-15 DARK HORSES, 33 AJ Styles Alberto Del Rio Braun Strowman Cesaro Rusev Ryback Sami Zayn The Undertaker Dolph Ziggler Sheamus OUTSIDERS, 50 Chris Jericho Finn Balor Kurt Angle Randy Orton Samoa Joe Seth Rollins LONG SHOTS, 66 Neville The Big Show Tyler Breeze King Barrett The Rock - another outlier, only one company is offering 66-1, the others are typically in 13-25 range NO HOPERS, 100 Big E Bubba Ray or D-Von Dudley Curtis Axel Either Of The Uso Brothers Erick Rowan Heath Slater John Cena - MAYBE THE SURGERY WAS A WORK Kane Kofi Kingston Konnor Luke Harper Mark Henry R-Truth The Miz Titus ONeill Tyson Kidd Zack Ryder PEOPLE WHO STILL WORK FOR WWE, 125 Alex Riley Damien Sandow Darren Young Fandango Goldust Jamie Noble Joey Mercury Sin Cara Stardust Viktor SCRAPING THE BARRELL, 150 Adam Rose Bo Dallas D-von Dudley Donald Trump - yep. Fernando Joshua Bredl - who? Sasha Banks Vince or Shane McMahon Wayne Rooney Xavier Woods NOSTALGIA CATEGORY AND YES YOU REALLY CAN BET ON DIVAS IN THIS THING, 200 & 250 Mick Foley (Or any Alias he may portray) Sting Stone Cold Steve Austin Baron Corbin Becky Lynch Charlotte Christian Diego Jeff Hardy Jesse James or Billy Gunn Jey Uso Jimmy Uso Paige Rob Van Dam Shane McMahon Shawn Michaels Tamina X-Pac ZZ Loupe PRESENTED WITHOUT COMMENT CATEGORY, 500: CM Punk El Torito FOSSILS AND MIDGETS, 1000 Booker T Hornswoggle Hulk Hogan Ric Flair William Regal

V, do you bet on these? If it wasn't for you I wouldn't even know betting on wrestling actually happens.
I can see Triple H winning too, now that you mention it. He makes a surprise return and screws Reigns to win the Rumble and the title, and Reigns finally topples The Authority (again) at WrestleMania.
I want Kofi Kingston to finally win a Rumble and New Day walk into Wrestleania as world champion with a full orchestra backing them during their entrance.
I'm still hoping for a Daniel Bryan return but I'm not too hopeful.

It surprised me that you can bet on wrestling Mastersnit, I found out only a year or so ago. Then again you can bet on the Oscars, reality show programs, soap opera murder culprits, Royal baby names, the lot. I have a couple of times before, but never more than 2 or 3 quid, it's just for fun.
Mentioning Kofi Kingston is interesting - you can get him at 100-1 now. I think it's possible that Triple H dicks Roman over without winning the Rumble himself, leaving the way open for a transitional champ to sieze the crown. Why not Kofi? He's part of the hottest act in the Fed at the moment, not to mention one of the longest-tenure active members of the roster. He can always job the title at Fastlane

I would really love to see Kofi win a Rumble. He has had all those cool escapes in previous years, but to win the thing would be far better than any of that circus act stuff. Plus, I really want someone unexpected to win it. After all, the nature of the Rumble match makes it possible for anyone who is somewhat competent at wrasslin' to win if things work out just right for them. You don't have to pin people or even beat them up, just be sneaky and don't get lobbed over the top rope. Simple. Take a punt on Kofi, V. It's a sure thing. This will be you when Brock gets bundled over the top leaving Kofi in the final 4 with Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler and Stardust. ![](http://i.imgur.com/WF70vKY.gif)

I don't see Roman walking out with the title. I do however see Roman leaving Wreslemania with a title. My odds may not be accepted or even known by Vegas, but here is my top 5 most likely to win the Rumble.
1. HHH (Fuck, man, fuck) 2. Brock Lesnar (I think however eliminates Brock is facing Brock at Mania). 3. Sheamus (we suddenly took a huge dip in most likely) 4. Dean Ambrose (For the Ambrose vs Reigns match) 5. Daniel Bryan (I think we'll be lucky if we ever see him wrestle again.)

I really don't want to see Triple H in another WrestleMania main event. How many times do we have to see the new "guy" solidify himself by facing the almighty Triple H at WrestleMania?
That said, with him being gone for so long now he is definitely going to show up at the Rumble and do something. Either win or just screw Roman out of the title. I'd probably put him as favourite too.
Lesnar 2nd. Roman 3rd. Sheamus 4th. Ambrose 5th.
I would also be all for a return of one of the injured guys. Like if they have exaggerated Rollins' recovery period and he comes out at 25 or 26. That would be great.
Also, if Nakamura's theme were to hit during the Rumble I think I would mark out like I haven't marked out since I was a teenager during the Attitude Era.

Is there a Nakamura match you would suggest for someone not at all familiar with him? I suppose there could be some fun old timers that come back. I am personally hoping the Undertaker comes out and the very next entrant is Maven.

Bookmaker update: Triple H is now the favourite. Still a wild spread on Ambrose, some rank him as a strong contender, others as a more of an outsider. Undertaker's price has shortened quite a bit. As you've both mentioned Sheamus - you can get him at 40-1, Mastersnit.
Although I can totally see it, I still can't quite believe Triple H will be WWE Champion yet again. Then again, I never would have thought he was going to make Sting job to him either. If you're looking at the story, the story is he wants to get Roman, not win the title. So I'm feeling confident HHH will dick Roman over, allowing Kofi to win and V to spend his £300 on either 1x £300 hooker or 300x £1 hookers.
I can't figure our who Brock is going to be fighting at Wrestlemania, other than Roman. I think you're spot on with your guess Naitch - whoever chucks him out will probably fight him, but who? Perhaps Goldberg wants to give it another go? Or is this where The Rock comes in?
As far as injured guys, the only conspiracy I could see would be Dan Bryan actually being cleared and they're holding him off for the Rumble.

He just faced AJ Styles at Wrestle Kingdom 10 a couple weeks back and it was a great match. If you are going to check it out I would suggest just watching the last 3 matches of that show. Ishii vs Shibata, Nakamura vs Styles and Okada vs Tanahashi. They were all really, really good. His match with Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 9 was also really good. And one of my favourite matches last year was Nakamura vs Big Damo at a RevPro event.
That would be hilarious. I want this to happen now!
Hey V, when Kofi wins I think you should throw at least a few of those £1 hookers my way. I mean, I gave you the big tip-off and all that.
I wish they didn't go with Roman as the first guy out. Unless Brock is number two and they just destroy people for the first half hour. Not that I want that to happen but to see them essentially have a match with each other while intermittently beating the crap out of the likes of Bo Dallas and Heath Slater for a while would be funny.

I was watching one of the older rumbles the other day and I think it would be kinda cool if the first two entrants were The Ascension, and they beat the shit out of each other and then #3 is Big Show. It would be a nice throwback to the Demolition/Andre The Giant thing they did at the second or third rumble. It won't happen but it would be a fun start to the rumble.

Bookmaker update:
Triple H is a fairly clear favourite, Brock and Reigns are either 2 or 3 depending on who you go to.
Bray Wyatt has come in a lot, he is not far off the top 3 now. Have to consider him a contender now, but given how they've booked him in the past, I would bet good money on him being the last guy chucked out.
You can get Goldberg at 100-1 now.
And, for the conspiracy theorists amongst you: CM Punk's price has shortened a lot. He's also at 100-1, having been at 500. That still makes him a long shot, of course.
