I forgot (again) this week to tape Impact, which is sad, I don't have school this week, so plenty of time to watch it.
I did however watch Joker's Wild, and this was quite possibly the worst wrestling show I have ever seen. Everyone was off and the announcers were at their worst. Josh and Pope were arguing about who had the most Twitter followers during one match (which has to be remembered for when someone writes a book about TNA's eventual death).

Man, I watched it a couple of days ago and I'm having a hard time remembering what happened. Except for Abyss countering Jimmy's dive with a trashcan, that was hilarious.
Oh, and Rab C Nesbitt of wrestling. Yes, I think you're onto something there Mastersnit.

All of TNA's One Night Only shows are the worst wrestling show ever. I've suffered through far too many of them and feel like a worse person for it every time.
BONK!
I saw some clips from a few TNA shows from 2014 recently, so between 1.5 to 2 years ago, and the show has fallen hard in such a short space of time. One week it was on Spike and still at least looked like a semi-respectable wrestling company, then a couple of weeks later it was on D.A. and the high wattage lightbulbs had been replaced by candlelight and Bigfoots.
Haven't been able to bring myself to watch this week's episode yet.

Unlike MS, I did watch this weeks ep. My thoughts.
1. It was hard going back to SD TV. What was worse was that the music was barely audible, you knew something that resembled music was going over the speakers in the arena, but that is where it is ended. Poor production quality all around. Josh Matthews actually did a really good job of commentating and letting me know who some of the people like Will Osprey were and what there strengths in the ring are.
2. I know I am in the minority here, but I love King of the Mountain matches. Like all KOTM Matches, they are all great until the last two minutes, and then they are complete balls and just kind of end.
3. I enjoyed Gail Kim vs Jade. That is really all I have to say about that.
4. Whatever is happening with Grado, the muscly dudes and Shera is fucking awful.
5. Lashley vs Angle was a solid main event. I hated how they made Lashley a beast taking out half the roster at the end.
6. I still like Mike Bennett. He isn't going to set the world on fire, but he is great for where he is.

My internet died for a couple of weeks, so I missed the last few weeks of Impact. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Anyway I read that Bobby Roode and Eric Young both quit, which... well... kinda hard to watch again. Beer Money were their biggest act. Matt Hardy is legitimately their 3rd or 4th biggest star now, which is not a good state of affairs. Absolutely crazy to think of the talent they have lost in the last 2 years.

I'm also a bit behind with TNA. The last episode I saw was from a couple of weeks ago. They are back in the Impact Zone and Matt Hardy lost the belt to Drew Galloway. Lashley's promo wasn't too terrible. The Miracle's theme is annoying. Oh, and Willow was backstage.

Anybody still watching this? I'm still watching bits and pieces. The beautiful Abyss and Decay are good. Nothing else is really holding my interest though.
I feel bad for James Storm. He left and went to NXT for a while but decided to go back to TNA. After getting Beer Money back together, Roode leaves for NXT and Storm is left on his own now.
I have a feeling Fat Willow might be Matt Hardy.
Drew and Lashley are a bit too serious. As is EC3. TNA needs a few more jokers to help them through these dark days. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Santino show up and make fun of half the roster.

Honestly, if TNA goes away tomorrow, my life is not affected.

Does anyone else find this 'Broken' Matt Hardy character absolutely hilarious? Eli Drake is also really funny right now. The comedy is the only thing keeping me watching.
The main event scene is really stale, even though Lashley has finally managed to cut a half decent promo.
And what the hell is Dixie Carter doing in another power struggle angle? With Billy 'Powder' Corgan stumbling along beside her. Don't they realise we don't care?

They did a recap and I saw Billy Corgan and Dixie blahing about the tournament and because it's TNA I immediately thought "how long until it's Team Dixie vs Team Corgan for Control of the Company". Yeah? Think I'm crazy? Wanna bet against it?

The Final Deletion is up there with the best things TNA has ever produced. It's up there with Joe vs Styles vs Daniels, with Eric Young buying rubbers and the PCS. It was something completely different and it worked. The me of years past would hate me for saying this, but Matt Hardy is one of my favourite wrestlers right now. His wacky mad scientist/composer character has clicked and it has been great.
Really, if you have 15mins to spare, check it out. Well worth it!

Such a tired old spot, countering fireworks with a dilapidated boat.
I have been saying for years that doing a Wrestling "Lost" is the next frontier and... well this wasn't quite what I had in mind... but it was totally nutty and at least they tried to do something different. What have they got to lose at this point? Sure beats a "control of the company" angle which they are apparently doing as well at the same time.

If you liked the Final Deletion try Lucha Underground. Last year's Ultima Lucha was one of my favourite shows of the year.
Even though he was deleted, it seems Jeff will be sticking around as Matt's slave.

I don't know if you've been following this legal showdown between Billy Corgan and Dixie Carter, Mastersnit. But it does amuse me that having predicted Team Dixie vs Team Corgan for control of the company, which we all knew was coming, is happening in real life instead. Now that's a breaking-the-fourth-wall swerve for you.
I seriously don't understand why all these different parties want a piece of TNA and are going to great lengths to get it. It is literally worthless. Let it die people.

Yeah, I've been reading bits here and there about it, but I'm not even going to try to make sense of it all. At this point I just want it to go away too. It's a shame as well, because some of stuff going on in TNA hasn't been all that bad in recent times. Lashley has become a really good heel champion, Broken Matt and everything that goes with it has been great, and then some characters like Allie and Eli Drake have been enjoyable.
From the bits I have read it seems like Dixie Carter is a horrible person who will cling on to the very end. I don't want to predict the next turn but it seems like she's going to drag the company down into the dust before ever handing it over to anyone else.
I think they have tapings filmed up to the end of the year, and that will likely be it. I just hope they let the Hardys delete the entire company in an orgy of fireworks and dilapidated boats in the final episode.
