Anyone see this Thursday? Holy shit what a great fucking show it was! I was thrilled and kind of pissed at the same time.
I was thrilled because, if this is the kind of talent that's in WWE's future, the future is looking sick! BUT if this is the kind of talent that could potentially get wasted on raw, then it makes you wonder what exactly is developmental getting prepared for? To take a shit every week? Seriously, this was better than anything wwe has done in a very long time. Wrestlefuckingmania 30 is the only thing that's come close.
They started with Adam Rose vs Camacho. It wasn't a great match. It was good way to start the show though. Adam rose was REALLY over and got the crowd going. Camacho sucks
Then the ascension defeated el local(Ricardo Rodriguez) and kallisto. This was an ok basic match. Nothing special. The ascension really have something cool going on. The problem is there is absolutely no credible competition, so you kind of just watch them to see who they are going to destroy next.
Then Tyler Breeze defeated Sami zayn for the number one contendership to the NXT title in a fantastic fucking match! This match was innovative and all over the place and you had no idea who was winning. I can't stand Sami zayns gimmick. I would describe him as the most annoying generic guy on the planet. But in the ring, this guy is absolutely something special. That's why I'm torn with him. I hate his face, seeing his entrance, hearing him speak, but when he wrestles, the man is damn near magical. I always knew Tyler breeze had some talent. I like his gimmick. He's kind of like a gay little model. But he does it well. But until that match I didn't know how good he REALLY was. Really good stuff from those two.
Then rusev kicked the shit out of mojo rawley. I loved this segment. If you guys know who mojo rawley is, you'll know exactly why I loved it.
Then Charlotte defeated Natalya to win the tournament and become the new NXT women's champ. Let me tell you guys something, this may have been THE BEST women's match I've ever seen. As far as technical wrestling goes it was top quality. Charlotte flair is officially awesome. It also goes to show how much they've been wasting Nattie for years.
Then the main event was Adrian Neville defeating Tyson Kidd to retain the title in another great fucking match! I'm telling you, it's like as soon as zayn vs breeze happened, the night was unstoppable. Adrian is like a glorified Evan Bourne. It's like you take all of Evan Bournes qualities and Adrian has them just a little bit better. His look is a little better, his personality is a little better, his high flying moves are a little better, but when it comes down to it, he's capable of an epic match and I've never seen that out of Bourne. I don't think Neville is world title material on raw but god damn I hope I can see Adrian Neville vs Seth Rollins one day! Tyson Kidd is another shit personality. But he definitely delivered in that match.
I'll tell you what I want in the future after this ppv, a divas division that DOES matter and a wrestlemania ladder match involving Seth Rollins, Adrian Neville, Tyler breeze, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, and Cesaro(go back to NXT ARRIVAL and catch Sami zayn vs cesaro and you'll know why I added cesaro to that mix). Those guys can totally recreate the TLC magic the Dudley's, edge and Christian and the Hardys had.
But yeah, great fucking show. Why is a developmental special event better than actual wwe ppvs? Why?
