![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KsVs6d7jB8w/UTpG0AbAf2I/AAAAAAAAfV4/m6BnEDt8bdE/s1600/Funny+WWE+Faces+4.jpg) He's back! I imagine he will return as a face, but I would love it if he returned as the spotlighted, narcissistic heel Batista. Not really sure where he fits in for the Rumble and WrestleMania. I can't see him in the main event at WrestleMania, so maybe he goes close at the Rumble, Orton loses the title the same night, and they set up an angle with the two of them fighting to prove who the best wrestler to come out of Evolution is.

Or he could come back as Good Friend Of Triple H, David Batista.
I think just going away, magically becoming a Face, and coming back to a "yay you're back" pop is the least imaginative thing they could do. Not to mention played out.

Yeah, but that's usually what happens.
He should make his return right after Rey Mysterio defeats Ryback in two minutes. Rey waits in the ring smiling and Batista hugs him when he enters the ring. As Batista gets ready to speak, Rey gives him a nod and goes to leave the ring. Batista puts his hand on Rey's should and says something like, "Hey Rey. Did you think I forgot? You're no friend of mine." Batista destroys Rey then picks up right where he left off as heel Batista.

I want Hollywood Batista. He's been in movies and one terrible MMA fight since he left. All he needs is an acoustic guitar and we're good with a heel run.

^LOL
I'm excited about it. Things are a lot different since Batista left which means, NEW FUCKING PROGRAMS! Honestly, that's what's driving me crazier than anything. If I have to see john cena main event one more ppv against randy Orton, I'm going on a killing spree. It's bad enough we have to accept and eat the god damn rematch at the rumble.
So Batista returning to face 2014 Orton, punk, Dan Bryan, sheamus, and even triple h is at least fresh for this year. Personally I'd love to see roman reigns vs Batista

Personally I'd love to see roman reigns vs Batista Yeah, they could do that as a passing of the torch type of match.

I feel like wrestlemania 32 in 2016 could be face rumble winner roman reigns facing heel Batista for the belt.
I'm looking forward to batista's return because he still had some fire left when he quit but ran out of feuds at the time. So he took 4 yrs off at the right time and now I feel like they could have new programs. I hope his first feud isn't with that fucking asshole Alberto del rio. If anything I hope they're using del rio just to get steamrolled for the return on monday

I think Del Rio is just going to get wrecked without too much fuss. Similar to what happened to Mark Henry with Brock Lesnar.

So it's been a little over a month since Batista has been back. My feelings have been on a roller coaster with him. This is pretty much my overall opinion so far.
His Return: very underwhelming. It felt like the situation from the jersey shore debuted and called himself Batista
Royal rumble: fans were a little unfair. I think anyone but Daniel Bryan winning would've drawn heat. It seems like that started a trend of heat for Batista.
Putting Alberto through the table: I was thinking, cool this is the Batista they need to start booking. That's what got him where he is
Recent matches: garbage. Dude has never looked so lazy in the ring. What's crazy is he slimmed down greatly and you can tell he naturally got a lot quicker too. But he's working more like a 400lbs guy
Tonight's smackdown: up Til tonight I was finally convinced, even though he kind of just had really bad timing with his return, he's doing absolutely nothing to prove the fans that they were wrong about him. But then, he cut that promo and had that match with ziggler that kind of reminded me of a cross between his recent arrogant heel persona mixed with a guy who's hungry like he used to be. NOW I'm interested in Batista again! I like the way he laughed at ziggler when he challenged him. They need to run with this. We are entering an era where the fans are taking shit so personally in defense of guys like Daniel Bryan, and Batista is the perfect offender for this. Going by everything Batista said and did on smackdown this week, he is everything that is 'wrong' with wwe booking right now. I think they can totally reignite the "face of the wwe" storyline with Batista taking orton's place
I think they may have struck gold in a future dan Bryan/Batista feud. This was exactly what I was kind of envisioning. Orton and cena just ran their course. I think Batista can be the top heel right now and dan the top face. Then you can start slowly mixing in guys like roman reigns and sheamus. Good stuff

Yeah, that was a good promo on Smackdown. They came to their senses, arrogant douchebag is more in his wheelhouse, especially seeing as he can't bring it in the ring like he used to and he's getting booed anyway.

He was destined to fail the second they decided to have him come back and win the Rumble immediately. The fact he gassed and could barely lob Reigns over the rope to win didn't help matters.
The main problem is that most fans see him as the person who has been artificially placed into the 'babyface going for the title' role for WrestleMania this year, when any living organism under the sun would tell you that Daniel Bryan is the guy for the job this time around. What is the point in continuously screwing Bryan's quest for the title since SummerSlam if he isn't going to get his big moment out of it. I know some people will argue that his whole appeal is that he is the plucky underdog and that things won't work with him as champion, or he can always win the title after WrestleMania, or whatever, but WrestleMania is traditionally the event where the current top guys face off for the biggest prize. Bryan's rise has been organic and fan-driven, but they tried to nudge that out of the way for a guy who had been gone for years and didn't have any substantial support behind him once the obvious return pop died down.
I still can't see how they are going to do Orton v Batista as the main event. Especially now they have been forced to turn Batista heel.
I do agree that as a douche heel he is a good nemesis for Bryan when the time comes.

Here's the thing with Daniel Bryan. I kind of thought he was getting that bit of extra hype in the gorilla cities like Philly and Chicago and the match with trips was just fine for mania because it's a payoff in it's own right. When trips catches that flying knee at mania the fans are going to go crazy.
But, he's getting so insanely hot right now. I honestly didn't expect the fans to get this passionate over him. I figured it was more that the yes chant was really hot more than anything. But it's gotten to the point where it seems like they need Daniel Bryan to fix the main event.
So hear me out,
If they REALLY want to pay the fans off, they can do a thing where if Daniel Bryan loses to trips, he can never get a title shot again. But if he wins, he gets put in the main event THAT NIGHT for a triple threat and then when trips tries to cost him the belt, hogan can come out and kick trips ass and Bryan hits the knee on Orton and pins him for the title
There you have it, the most popular close to this years mania. He gets his payback on trips and closes the show as wwe world heavyweight champion. They almost have to have him wrestle twice to deliver on all ends!
