UPDATED: TMZ has updated their story, noting that Swagger was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after being pulled over for speeding. A search of the vehicle revealed Swagger was in possession of marijuana. Swagger was with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding, which are all misdemeanors. ORIGINAL: According to TMZ, WWE's Jack Swagger was arrested last night in Mississippi. Swagger was leaving a Smackdown taping at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi when he was pulled over for unspecified traffic violations. He was taken in by local sheriff's deputies and later released on his own recognizance. When reached for a comment, WWE stated the following… "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions." Swagger is just one of many wrestlers to get a DUI so it might not be that big of a deal. Still, it's not the best timing. Pretty stupid too.

I hope they steal that promo from you and use it. It's Grade A awesome. Using RVD as the caught in the car with weed template though, Swagger is going to lose the title shot (RVD lost his title in less then a week.) Also, unless WWE wants to by hypocrites, they have to suspend Swagger. He can still be back before Wrestlemania if they start the 30 days soon.

Seriously though, what a fucking dickhead. The guy had never been in trouble before, he was a god damn joke 6 months ago, and suddenly he returns and had a world title shot at wrestlemania 2 weeks later. Holy shit that almost sounds too good to be true. Then he fucking blows it! Great gimmick, great new manager, great angle developing....etc.
Jesus Christ I may have to say this is worse than rvds arrest. At least rvd made it to the top already THEN blew it lol

If I remember correctly, with RVD, he and Sabu where blazing in the car, probably what Swagger was doing. I, have a personal zero tolerance against DUIs though. They are dangerous, stupid and completely avoidable. If he wanted to have blazed while traveling through Mississippi (and if you have ever been through Mississippi, you might argue being high is the only way to get through it) then he should have had Alex Riley or Yoshi Tatsu or some other person that can hold his weed and no one would have given a shit about. |

I don't think they would bother too much if they had to take Swagger out of the match. They still have about six weeks to build an angle and there are still plenty of guys without a program for WrestleMania who could step in.

Glenn Beck scares me so I'm not going to seek out the video of him ignorantly running down wrestling, but I thought Zeb Colter was brilliant in that video.
Seems Swagger's WrestleMania match won't be going up in smoke. I'm really warming to the angle, so I'm glad.

It almost seems like they're going to follow through til mania then probably have swagger lose and suspend him then. I actually read swagger was scheduled to win the title. Of course that can change, but still...he's lucky he even has an opportunity still
