Jesse Sorensen has sustained a C1 vertebrae fracture with spinal cord edema. He is slowly regaining feeling and movement in his arms and legs. He wants to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Once we speak to the neurosurgeon, we will pass on more details.

Getting movement back is a good sign. I hope he has a good recovery.

Kurt Angle said the doctors said he has a years recovery. But being the optimist that Kurt is he thinks Sorenson will be recovered in four months. Either way, if Sorenson returns to wrestling we have a good feud waiting for us.

Did anyone see the match? It looked to me like Sorenson hurt his arm leaping out the ring maybe a minute earlier, then when Ion came down on him with that move he couldn't really defend himself against it.
Good to hear that he is getting better.

I saw the spot that took him out, looked like Ion got scared of the guard rail and pulled his knees in and took out Sorenson with those. If Sorenson did hurt his arm, it was just the perfect storm of shitty luck.

According to Pwinsider.com, the word going around at today's IMPACT tapings is that news on Jesse Sorensen's recovery is positive. Sorensen is still considered in serious condition, but doctors are happy with how he is continuing to regain feeling and movement in his extremities. The hope is that he will eventually make a full recovery.

2 updates
Injured TNA wrestler Jesse Sorensen showed significant improvement on Monday after fracturing his C1 vertebrae at Sunday's Against All Odds pay-per-view. He is said to be getting the feeling back in his legs slowly but surely, and doctors now expect a full recovery.
Powell's POV: Dixie Carter flew Sorensen's mother to Florida to be with him. Spirits are said to be high. Obviously, the expectation of a full recovery is the best possible news that we could have hoped for.
update 2
Believe it or not, Jesse Sorensen has been released from the hospital and is back home in Tampa, FL.
While that's an awesome piece of news, Sorensen will have some ways to go in recovery, so keep him in your thoughts as he recovers.
