A lot has changed since we all came together in late 2004. Snitsky was the best thing going in the company, it was pre-Cena plague, Randy was gayer than gay, Trips was fat and annoying, Batista was a big roided bounty hunter for Goldberg, CM Punk wasn't in WWE
Anyway, a lot has changed since then. Some people we've grown to love or hate and sometimes both. Looking back, I can't believe how much my overall perspective changed. But to let you know where I'm at with everyone in 2008 here it is(might get some heat for this)
Cena - The mixed cheers are finally played out. Truth be told I like Cena now. YES, I like Cena. He's not the guy to beat anymore and he's great without a belt. He's just a hyped up guy that comes out, talks well, and can take heat like no other. I honestly think I might even cheer Cena if I went to an event now. The guy took so much shit and proved he belongs with the big dogs in this business
Trips - I think Trips is the best he has been since 2002. He's even in the best shape he's been in since then. He's seasoned but still draws that electricity. Unfortunately I see him on the very verge of following the Shawn Michaels route of winning no more titles and simply putting people over unless he's needed to put the belt on. Anyway, he still has the greatest ring entrance ever. I'll be the first to admit that
Batista - rollercoaster ride for me. I'm drawn to the big guys. I like hosses. I was a fan of Batista when he was in evolution all the way up til his injury. When he came back from his injury on Smackdown he was so fuckin boring without Trips or Eddie. Now, I think he's one of the most dedicated workers in the company. I'm basing this simply on his improvement in the ring. His matches with Taker were phenomenal and it wasn't all Taker. Batista surprised the shit out of me with those matches. Ever since then he seems to put on a good match with just about anybody now. Kudos to big Dave for his improvement
Matt Hardy - I like Matt now too. He's not on the internet annoying me with his bullshit so now I see the true talent he has. He's a very consistent worker and I think he could be a world champion....just not before Jeff unless Jeff keeps getting junked out
Randy Orton - Man this guy came a long way. He's one of the hottest heels in the company right now to the point where you can see him making a great face someday. Please change his fuckin music though!
HBK - I'm so through with him. I'm sorry HBK fans. I'm a fan too but I've just gotten so bored with this gay cowboy gimmick
Snitsky - sorry........I don't give a fuck about him getting pushed. Not anymore at least. It's not his fault either(no pun intended) it's WWE's fault for dropping the ball. He was so awesome when he debuted but now that 3 1/2 years have passed I've moved on and if Snitsky leaves for TNA it could be the best thing for him but I'm done pulling for him in the WWE.
Your thoughts.......

I'm ball parking on what some people where doing four years ago but lets give this the ol' College try.
Jeff Hardy-Disappointment really. He left WWE, looked super sloppy in TNA, was booed out of ROH and then makes a great come back on Raw. Honestly, I thought we were in for a suck fest. He proved me wrong. I also thought he was clean. He proved me wrong twice.
Randy Orton- A little work on his promos (just add some emotions to them) and this guy is most defintly going to be the tits. The best of of the daddys kids in WWE.
Undertaker-Still awesome. I also think he is better then Ric Flair in the ring. Seriously though, for a dude thats gotten pretty close to zero mic time, the dude is oozing IT.
Benoit- I honestly don't care he killed his family. Its great for some jokes. I just remember matches with Booker T, Regal, Finlay and Eddie that not many people are going to top.
Vickie- Dude, I'm sorry you lost your kids father, but get the fuck off my TV.
Rhino- Can only Heyman properly push this guy? Totally wasted by WWE (and TNA) but I can understand why he was fired.
Edge- Remember when he was doing five second poses with Christian? Did you see him becoming a main eventer at Wrestlemania then? Neither did I.
Kane- The dude used to scare me when he was with Mankind and Paul Barer. Then he got lame. Then it was a battle of the Kanenites (I seriously just right now got how awesome and the reference for that name) vs the Testicals. Then he teamed up with RVD and lost the mask and was awesome for a minute. Now hes just a solid upper midcarder sometimes main event jobber to me.
Test- Just wanted to remind you he used to work there. At least he was better then X-Pac.
Cena- I started out loving Cena. The rookie that took Jericho to the limits. Then heel rapper Cena totally had me loving Thursday nights. Face rapper Cena annoyed me. Post ONS2 Cena earned my respect again. Knowing the fans will riot if the writers fucked up the booking I imagine might be scary.
HHH- I still hate his promos for the most part but find DX HHH to be funny.
HBK- Dude is awesome on the mic and pretty sweet in the ring. With all that being said, I still hate him for costing me touching boobs in the 7th grade. (Its a long story.)
Matt Hardy-Surprised the crap out of me. I thought without Jeff, Matt would just kinda die off in WWE. Glad he proved me wrong.

lmao.
Obviously I haven't seen enough to make a considered opinion, just bits and pieces off the WWF website, youtube etc.
I don't care about Jericho. I have sympathy for Benoit but not for what he did. I like that they might be pushing Regal. There's too many title belts. Colin is funny. Stone Cold Steve BigShow is better as an asshole heelface.
I don't like Cena but I get that he's basically been carrying the company so I understand why he is where he is. That doesn't mean the Wall Street Boys story wouldn't be awesome.
As for Snitsky, I understand what you're saying Champ but I still root for him. I don't think any of us seriously thought he might be world champ, but he still could have been a monster heel like Kane used to be. Why don't they shoot Snitsky in the face while they're at it. I can't believe it's been 3½ years. Time flies.

I have not completely given up on Snitsky. I still dream about what might have been...
WrestleMania cards such as
WWE Championship Gene Snitsky (C) Vs Go-Gol - Goldust
World Heavyweight Championship Muhhamed Hassan(C) Vs Undertaker
Intercontinental Championship Rob Conway(C) Vs Pirate Paul Burchill with Buxom Wench King William Regal.
US Championship Joe Murderer(C) Vs Simon Dean
and many more great matches.
My initial hope of such ratings raping matches and feuds never quite reached the heights I hoped for. And since I started watching again a few years ago, I am left without many of these hero's.
One thing I have noticed is that even the things we see each week on TV are not the reality that WWE will present to you. Their editing and video packages are really good and they can convince a casual fan in three minutes that Colin Delaney is an unstoppable force to be feared and avoided, if they really wanted to. The fans have no say in what they want now, everything is far too contrived and focused towards making as much green as possible without given the live crowd and viewers as much as they can. No wrestler seems willing to go that extra mile to get themselves over because the script says they have to do everything to a certain degree.

I'm just disappointed in the lack of compelling storylines and just seeing the same people over and over and over and over.
Orton has been a pleasant surprise, but why is he feuding with HHH and Cena? I mean, I was digging Hardy v. Orton (and Hardy fucked that up), but now I could care less. Why not push some new faces?

Why not push some new faces? That might get in the way of all the valuable crack-smoking time the writers need.

yeah no shit. I feel bad too but please have Taker tombstone her for good this time
Oh and I forgot to add my opinion on Taker. He's simply the best. I can honestly say he may be my favorite of all time and he just keeps getting better in the ring at 46 years old

Yeah, I remember back when Bert Hart has WWF Champion he would take on different people from all over the roster.

Yeah, I remember back when Bert Hart has WWF Champion he would take on different people from all over the roster. It was easier then. Today all the smarks want to main eventers vs main eventers. No one really cares to see how good Randy Orton is compared to lets say Funaki. And lets face it, once the nWo was formed we got spoiled big time. Wrestling today (in ring) on TV is way better then prior to 96.

Randy Orton vs. Funaki as funny as it sounds is how you make your roster look well rounded. If you don't make it a complete squash and let him get some offensive moves in then the low card guys actually look like they belong with the company. Everytime Funaki comes to the ring his heel opponents start laughing in kayfabe. Yeah that's great scripting for your roster. Hey everyone, look at the heel laughing at Funaki because he sucks so bad.

Let him get in a quick series of arm drags and drop kicks then have Orton role to the floor. TA DA! Funaki now looks like a guy that can hang with guys like Gregory Helms and Shannon Moore but should probably stay away from the top tier guys. Orton just ends up looking like a human. Thats all. Look at almost any UFC fight. Even the underdogs, for the most part, get some offense in and sometimes look like they can take the fight.

I think the template would be that HHH vs Funaki match 7 or 8 years ago. One move matches do nothing for the winner and kill the loser's credibility - why don't they just shoot Snitsky in the face after his match w/ Batista? You can still have Randy laughing at Funaki, then Funaki busts some moves and Randy realises he has to get his shit together.

I would like to see stables in addition to Edge's Familia Bodyguards - good for dusty finishes Jobbers-they are returning long violent feuds like Benoit/Sullivan or Savage/? less divas overall less big show Hickenbottom to lose once in a while

I don't mind the Big Show as long as he looks like he does in your sig more often
And as for Shawn, that's true. He never loses a match unless it's a title match. The only 1 on 1 I can recall him losing was against Jeff a few months ago and that was like a huge shock

I have really enjoyed the Big Show since his return. Not so much the Mayweather thing but how can you hate a guy that punks Khali?
