Any of you fans of The Simpsons? One of my favourite lesser seen characters is the Yes Guy who pops up now and again. ![](http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PcX9QTbDVJw/SvhQ3PRyotI/AAAAAAAAB-E/dGrBMtzWSqg/s320/Yes_guy.png) I realised recently that he is actually based on a recurring character from the Jack Benny show.

No, you're wrong MasterSnit. The greatest ever bit-part character in the Simpsons:
SCORPIO! He'll sting you with his dreams of power and wealth. Beware of Scorpio! His twisted twin obsessions are his plot to rule the world And his employees' health. He'll welcome you into his lair, Like the nobleman welcomes his guest. With free dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest! But beware of his generous pensions, Plus three weeks paid vacation each year, And on Fridays the lunchroom serves hot dogs and burgers and beer! He loves German beer!

By the way, while we're on the subject, are any of you fans of Futurama? They've just started doing new episodes, and most of them have been very good.

I can dig Simpsons, I don't watch repeats that often but when new ones air I'll watch them.

I've been meaning to watch Futurama for a while, though outside of a few episodes here and there, I've never really watched it.
There's usually some laughs available any time Mr Burns is in an episode.

I can't stand Futurama. I think it's because my father dvrs the repeats every night and has been watching them for about 9 months every day now and I've only laughed maybe twice when I've seen it

The couple of episodes I have watched I enjoyed. I thought about buying the dvds a while back but they have now doubled in price.
I was laughing at a bit on The Simpsons a few weeks ago. Bart, Lisa and the kids are on the school bus playing a game where if someone sees a Beetle car they can punch the person sitting next to them. The bus drives past a big car shop with hundreds of Beetles on show and everyone starts wailing in pain. You hear all the cries of pain from the kids and the sounds of everyone getting punched, then between it all you hear Otto saying, "Two for flinching!". That gave me a good laugh.

I know people pregnant dog about the show not being as good as it used to be, and it isn't, but even new episodes usually have at least a few funny moments like that. For example, one of the most recent episodes had Moe going to Los Angeles to be a judge on American Idol. When he arrives in L.A., the taxi driver plays "Sweet Home Alabama" while he drives him past the sights. That was pretty funny.

Yeah, it is still good for a few laughs. I saw that episode with Moe in L.A. The taxi driver said all the songs about L.A. sucked so he went with 'Sweet Home Alabama'. I saw bits of an episode recently too that looked fairly new. It must have been a Treehouse of Horrors episode. It was a parody of a Peanuts cartoon and had Milhouse bringing to life a giant crazed pumpkin. The T.O.H. episodes are usually fun.

I think 9 out of 10 new episodes are still really good. Those 9 always have me laughing.
The best eps for me are when Millhouse gets some confidence going and in the end is shattered back to his normalcy. No one messes with the House and lines like that are always a good belly laugh.

Millhouse? Damn Dutchmen!
I don't think I ever tire of hearing Chief Wiggum saying, "Cuff em boys.".

Chief Wiggum has some of the best interaction on the show. I love his conversations with Lou.

Lou does come away with some pretty dry stuff.
Lisa isn't usually one to bring the laughs, but there is an episode where she is on some sort of acid and she's pretty funny.

Lisa eps are automatic skips for me. I can do Marge eps but Lisa ones are unbearable.
