I imagine most of us will be watching, or at least hearing about the World Cup over the next month.
It kicked off today with the hosts South Africa drawing 1-1 with Mexico. France are playing Uruguay tonight.
England play U.S.A. tomorrow. They are the two best teams in their group so the winners of the game will likely finish top of the group.
Unfortunately Scotland didn't qualify so I can't root for my own country, but it should be a fun tournament regardless. The only thing that I know is going to get on nerves is the noise in stadiums. The Africans blow these monotonous horns called vuvuzelas constantly during the matches and, for me at least, it gets really annoying.
So who will be watching?

As I mentioned, England play U.S.A. tomorrow. So for one day only, let me say this -
U. S. A. U. S. A. U. S. A. U. S. A. U. S. A.
Just kidding, V. All the best for your boys.

I will not be watching or even paying attention.

I predicted South Africa beating Mexico 1-0 in the pickems, figuring that it would be the usual "other side dominates, Host Nation squeaks a goal near the end to win 1-0" routine. And lo, it came to pass. Except the damn Mexicans equalised.

Hey, don't disrespect the two-time World Champions U-R-GAY.
I thought the England vs USA match last night would be a draw. Both teams should have enough to win their next two matches and come through the group as first and second.
The games haven't been too great thus far. Argentina looked good, as did the Germans tonight against the Aussies. Too much safe and negative play in the games thus far though. I also read that the guy in charge of the competition is considering banning the vuvuzelas. I hope it happens. I'm not against people making some noise and having fun at a match, but those things just drown everything else out into a constant and horrible drone.

Hey, Mastersnit. Remember when I said this: Oh, I'm not under any illusions. Semi-Final would be a decent result. All I want is for the team to get through to the knockout stage and then not Bischoff everything up by getting people sent off or conceding fluke goals or missing empty nets or losing on penalties. Particularly not losing on penalties. Just play well and if England lose 2-1 to a better team then so be it. As long as it's not the Germans. oh well. Roll on Brazil 2014.

I think I've said it before but I can see England and Germany meeting in the first knock-out stage. And Germany winning on penalties of course. Your Bischoffian vision will have come true if it does happen, V.
Brazil play tomorrow so it'll be good to see how they look, then Spain play the day after, I think. So far Germany and Argentina have looked like the best teams.

ahahahaha. oh my fucking god. OLD JOKES REVISITED Hey, Mastersnit. Remember when I said this: Oh yeah, the World Cup. It wouldn't shock me if England had to scrape a draw against the US, but I honestly can't see us bischoffing that group so badly that we don't get through to the knock-out round. OH WELL. ROLL ON BRAZIL 2014.

Yeah, another disappointing night for you guys. I still expect England to get through the group stage so don't lose heart just yet.
If I had the means to do so I would hunt down every motherfucker who has blown a vuvuzela at this tournament and shove it sideways up their arse. What pleasure do they get out of it?
Brazil looked decent tonight. All the South American teams are looking strong so far.
