The woman's division, until recent times, has consistently been one of my favourite parts of TNA for years. They are slowly ruining all that hard work now.

Well they basically reduced the KOs to TBP and Tara, Angelina and Daffney. Thats sad. They had Kong and Cheerleader Melissa. They still have Hamada, Sarita, Taylor, ODB but they are getting less and less air time as the weeks go on.
And maybe they should pay the girls a little more. Now that I know some of the wrestlers can't afford to make it to house shows I am a little less inclined to support TNA live. But then again I don't have a clue what Madison has spent her money on so that might be jumping the gun. If she is basically getting by on rent and food then that sucks. But if shes buying a ton of shit she doesn't need then thats her fault.

Yesterday at 4:22PM Naitch wrote:Why wouldn't they keep Brutus either? I mean, he's not some prodigy that wandered into the company, but there isn't anything that wouldn't make me not want to renew his contract over a good handful of guys in the company. He seems like competent worker who understands the business, and could deliver if put in the right angle. With that said, some good news I heard is that Chris Daniels is expected to return. The reason for his release was to terminate his contract so they can low ball him with a new one. Apparently he accepted the money ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) But it'll be great to see him back! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) From what I heard, I think it's her pay combined with the travel and making ends meet. If the lowest paid workers only get $200 a show and if they're having problems with other income, they absolutely will have problems with travel if they maxed their credit. That's only $800 a month without PPVs. So, the lowest paid TNA stars basically need a second job or ROH and Indy appearances. It really sucks because these are people who've worked hard to make it to tv and become famous wrestlers. We also have to remember that Madison was pretty much at the bottom of the barrel, never winning matches and pretty much just being a follower, and now she's a world champion. So she's basically like a member of Generation Me as world champion in her division. That means more appearances but, more traveling expenses, plane flight, rental car, hotel, etc... So they're really not much more well off making shit money and making more appearances. There should be a sign-on bonus like in WWE where champions make more money because it's like a job promotion. It sounds to me that if you work for TNA and not making much money, but have no intentions of leaving, smartest thing to do is move to an apartment that's driving distance from the Impact Zone. You only have rent and gas to worry about which is WAY better than airfare, renting a car and booking a room at a hotel. At least they get food catered to them. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Christ almighty, these poor bastards in this company that don't have much of a shot with WWE as rookies or NOT named Scott Hall. I think I understand why Madison is World champion of the Knockouts. Out of all the lowest paid Knockouts, she has the most noteriety, exposure, and crowd heat. Why not make her Knockouts champion? The Knockout's world champion is obviously going to make the most appearances out of all the Knockouts. Therefore, when they need that woman and the belt exposed for Impact and PPV, they don't have to pay out as much as if Tara, Velvet, or Angelina was world champion. And let's face it, those 3 absolutely have more heat to be world champion than Madison(ODB too, but she's injured. Arguably, Daffney too, and she's also injured). Money is the only logical reason to put the belt on Madison. I really can't see any other reason why Hogan, the writers, and the company overall would say, "yeah, put the belt on Madison Rayne". Unless they started an instant jealousy angle with Velvet, it makes no sense to me. I think the whole thing is pretty damn low and cheap. Hey, I may be wrong and jumping the gun. But, going by the way, I've seen with my own eyes, TNA do extremely unprofessional buisness since Hogan arrived, it makes no other sense to make a low carder like Madison champion other than cutting down costs......to even pay their fuckin champions! God! Hanging out with the BP gave Madison JUST enough heat to be champion. But it shouldn't be her unless there was a major angle or push in mind for her, which we know isn't there. If that was the plan, TNA would have blown their load and executed it on the Impact after her title win Sorry for yet ANOTHER long fuckin rant. It's just disgusting to me how TNA has been treating their stars since Hogan's arrived. I don't need to go into details. All I need to say is, Scott Hall makes $3,000 an appearance, yet they can't pay Tara $800 an appearance. She's way more on her game and probably even gets more of a crowd response than Hall these days. Need I say more?

I read that in her best year with TNA Awesome Kong made just $20,000. And that's the biggest draw in the division.
I also read that WWE is interested in Kong, but have to wait for her no-compete clause to expire. It's just amazing that TNA can pay peanuts and then have the cheek to demand a no-compete clause - by paying peanuts you're essentially saying that you have no commercial value, so WHY do you need to insist on a no-compete if that is the case? Unbelievable hypocrisy.
Anyway, if there's any justice, Kong will go to WWE and make a load of money.
I mean, really, you could make an argument that the only people on TNA's roster the WWE would be interested in are the Knockouts. (And Jeff Hardy, but that's kind of a special case). All their men are washed-out has-been or never-wills. Whereas if WWE ever wants to pad out their diva division, they've got a ready supply of dirt-cheap performers who have some experience in the AAA AA A league, and on TV. And there's no danger of being outbid by TNA for their services!
God, this company.

You really think WWE has desire to steal AJ Styles or RVD or Alex Shelley there V?

Post by Champ on May 15, 2010 17:33:18 GMT -5
I think WWE would take AJ if they had the chance. But I don't think they have the desire to rip him away from TNA. They have enough young stars to build up and a lot of established guys. AJ would be more like a bonus to WWE
It's safe to say WWE could care less about getting RVD back and the feeling is obviously mutual, going by RVD's recent shoots
Alex Shelly, see AJ. I think WWE would sign Shelly but I don't think they would go out of their way to sign him. If he was a free agent looking for work I can see them picking him up, sending him down to developmental, and bringing him up with a crappy gimmick. Just let Shelly be Shelly. The dude has excellent performance timing just being himself

I just looked up Awesome Kong's wikipedia page because I wanted to find out how long she's been a free agent, and it contains this little gem: She was reportedly released from TNA on March 1, 2010.[33] On the March 8 edition of Impact! Kong and Hamada were stripped of the Knockout Tag Team titles after allegedly failing to defend them in 30 days,[34] even though in fact the team defended the titles just 21 days prior against Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky. We can add "ability to count to 30" to the list of things TNA can't do.

Little things like that I just can't deal with. I know it may sound petty but it's just so retarded. TNA fans have no idea how often they're having their intelligence insulted. I mean, WWE can be retarded too with stuff like that but TNA brings it to a new level. I just wish for once, in wrestling in general, they can really hold down continuity like a sitcom or series.
For example, and this is WWE I'm talking about, Edge and Christian were referred to as best friends who knew eachother since the 6th grade after the draft. Uh, ok, I thought they were brothers. That's fine but at least tell them to go out there and point out the fact that they used tell everyone they were brothers because they were so close. They can get away with that

Yeah, the Edge & Christian thing was dumb, but at least a few years had passed before they tried to retcon that story. TNA's writers just don't give a shit because we're just dumb wrestling fans. Christ, just make up a reason why Kong had to leave and give up the title, rather than rely on some shitty wrestling cliche that doesn't even make sense in the context. Use your fucking imagination once in a while.

I don't usually give a shit about ratings, but
The September 2nd edition of TNA Impact had 1,409,000 viewers. Tuesday's edition of WWE NXT had 1,151,000 viewers.
Hogan, Bischoff, Jeff, Sting, etc etc etc equals 250,000 extra viewers over a show featuring (mostly unknown) women wrestlers. Impact has been on Spike TV 5 years.
I bet Aksana is getting paid more than 50% of TNA's roster, too.

TNA should be doing way better than NXT. It's just too much of a side show. Maybe a bunch of horny teens wanted to see the new women

Oh speaking of Madison Rain and getting paid peanuts, you'll LOVE this one, V!! Apparently, Madison missed the last TNA tapings because she couldn't AFFORD traveling expenses to get to the show! The fuckin TNA Knockout's champion gets paid such shit that she couldn't even afford to get to the show! Now THAT'S fuckin pathetic! It totally explains why they put the belt on Madison too. She's the lowest paid Knockout with good crowd heat. This is all becoming so saddening www.cagesideseats.com/2010/9/29/1719902/an-examination-of-tnas-appalling-treatment-of-talentFormer WWE developmental star Taylor Wilde, brought in by TNA in mid- 2008 partly to fill the void left by Gail, openly admitted in an interview with Canadian music website juiceboxdotcom.com/ that despite being a star on one of Spike tv’s highest rated shows, she had been forced to quit her minimum wage job at Sunglass Hut after being recognized as the TNA Knockouts Champion. Recalling the deeply embarrassing incident, she said: "I was working at Sunglass Hut at a mall in Mississauga, a job that could be maintained by a monkey, so standing around for six hours earning minimum wage wasn’t the issue. But after serving this one customer for an extended period of time he ever so politely uttered, ‘Aren’t you the TNA Woman’s Knockout Champion?’ I handed in my resignation that day."

I like how the article mentioned that TNA has no problem signing drug addicts and emotional trainwrecks. WWE gets so much shit for their treatment of stars. But at least they tried helping out guys like Cade and Umaga. When they couldn't help them, they released them. Then what happened? They died. So the way I see it is WWE did the right thing getting rid of these guys because, obviously, they were in no condition to work for them. On the flip, Jeff's facing a 7 year prison sentence trial for trafficking and Kurt Angle was signed while addicted to a hundred pain killers a day. Meanwhile that was a big reason for his departure with WWE. After all is said and done, we have to look at this stupid face ![](http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/555581/dixiecarter_medium.jpg)

I feel sorry for Taylor Wilde. Apparently she's flogging her old ring gear for almost nothing just to make a few bucks. I just want to give the damn girl a hug. Which is not a typical reaction for me. I like how the article mentioned that TNA has no problem signing drug addicts and emotional trainwrecks. WWE gets so much shit for their treatment of stars. In the article it says TNA is still thinking about bringing Scott Hall back - yet again - once he come back from his latest rehab. The rehab is being paid by WWE. You just can't make it up.
