The Richard episode should be good. He's been around for a while and we don't really know anything about him.

LOST is on for a total of 3 hrs tomorrow night(Tuesday) on ABC. It's going to be a 1 hour episode of them catching you up to speed and the actual premiere epsiode, which is titled "L A X" is going to be 2 hrs.
I have a new theory with Locke. Something tells me he may not have survived the plane crash on the first episode! If you think back to Season 1, he was SO different on the island than he was in real life. He seemed to have a connection and seemed to know from day 1 they weren't supposed to leave. He hit Sayid in the back of the head in like the 6th episode when Sayid got a signal for the tranceiver too. In other words, Locke almost had too much of a connection with the island and he seemed way too asservtive and strong minded to be the real Locke all along. I remember when I first started watching LOST, I thought that Locke was this totally smart bad ass and he turned out to be a crippled guy that everyone walked all over. I don't know, just an idea. something seems like it was off from day one with Locke the more I look back

I think Locke survived. He was there to show how friggin wonderful the island is. Ben then murdered him and then he became evil and thats how Ben got to murder Jacob.

I'm also leaning towards the real Locke never being alive on the island. I have all the episodes on my computer and decided to just flick through a few the other day and when I watched a few bits from the very first episodes, I noticed just what Champ noticed. Locke was instantly so assured of himself and his surroundings. There is no way the real John Locke, who was previously getting flung out of 12th floor windows, was going to be like that after crashing down on an unknown island. It seems a little obvious now actually, so I hope they confirm it early on in this season.
GUYS, JUST LIKE THE LAST FEW SEASONS, I WON'T BE WATCHING THE EPISODES ON A WEEKLY BASIS.
I PLAN TO SAVE THEM UP AND START WATCHING THROUGH THEM IN TIME FOR THE FINAL EPISODE IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS.
SO PLEASE DON'T DISCUSS WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE SHOW IN OTHER THREADS AS I WILL LIKELY READ IT AND BE SPOILED.

The real locke pounded on the hatch crying, that was not bearded loophole guy who would have known what the hatch was. No , Locke did kill himself with Ben's help.

I have to agree with SM on this one. Locke was never strong in seasons 1-2. He was very emotionally weak but he could walk again. That gave him confidence. Then time Boone was dying he was weak. The hatch was weak. Being told to kill his father he was weak.
He happened to read a lot of survival books and used that knowledge.
And MS, watch the eps with us. Keep up with us and we'll talk about it together.

The other thing for me too Locke(on the island) was VERY manipulative and told a lot of white lies. The Locke we saw in real life was such a tool and let everyone take advantage of him. I also have been scanning through old episodes and Locke was just too much of a man of wisdom a confidence as opposed to real life Locke. Plus the very last episode he said Jacob, "do you have ANY idea what I had to go through to get here?" The more I think about it, I think he was talking about EVERYTHING that happened since the plane crash. I'm thinking it was all a big act from a huge plan that Moses guy concocted. I didn't understand why MS originally said that a while back but now I'm totally seeing it. But MS said Locke might have died when Ben shot him and I'm actually thinking the real John Locke, who was in the wheelchair, died in the 815 crash and never existed on the island at all.
I'm going to check the scene out now. I can't resist. I need one little preview
EDIT:
Wow I saw a different preview and the beginning is so interesting!

If Locke was the Island why did he need Christians ghost to tell him to move the wheel?

EDIT: Wow I saw a different preview and the beginning is so interesting! That wasn't a preview that was a leaked scene. I have no idea why they tacked the ABC thing on the end.

And MS, watch the eps with us. Keep up with us and we'll talk about it together. I like chatting about the show, but I don't enjoy watching it only once a week. I prefer to watch it through in my own time once I have most of the episodes compiled. I think it starts over there tonight, so I hope you guys enjoy it. I'm sure you will. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)
