This show is quite possibly my favorite show EVER. How could anyone not love Al Bundy? You sure as hell have to appreciate him for making you feel better about your life.

I've been catching it on TBS in the early mornings and my tastes in Married episodes has changed since when it first aired. When it first aired I preferred Jefferson episodes. Now that I'm older I can appreciate Steve. He was a pretty funny character.
Al: Real men played football in high school
Steve: Or played in the band
Then Al would just let it slide after giving him a WTF look.

I've been catching those eps too! If I'm not awake at 5am, I DVR them. They just started playing them from the first season about a week or 2 ago. There are eps I totally forgot about like the one where Al and Steve are trying to get rid of the mouse in the basement. I was laughing so fuckin hard at that. Any eps where Al is playing a looney toon type character is great. Like the couple of eps where he kept falling off the roof, the one when he and Jefferson were trying to put together the work bench, and the one when Al was trying to catch the rabbit(or gopher) when he started his own garden. The one with the rabbit, he ends up blowing up the whole neighborhood lol
I'm actually appreciating Steve a little more lately too. His character is such a tool, it's great. But I still think Jefferson is better. Just Jefferson's overall delivery with his evil carney looking facial expressions

I like Jefferson too its just that I haven't caught an Steve ep since I was like 10. Now that I'm 20 something I get his character. Its a good character. Complete tool yes. but not the boring asshole I remember him being.
Jefferson they brought in great though. They didn't really give him a back story so they could just throw him in any situation. Like when he knew the CIA agents when they went to Congress to protest to get Psycho Dad back on.
And Jefferson is the worst friend ever. Always having the YES MA'AM shirt on underneath his NO MA'AM shirt. LOL.
Speaking of NO MA'AM shirts I think Mrs. Naitch threw mine away. I haven't seen it in months.

I'm not a huge fan of sitcoms but I'm with you guys, I love Al Bundy and that show, too. I've seen every single episode of Married With Children and still have them all if I ever want to watch any.
Talking of Steve and Jefferson, I always felt Steve was much better. His character had a bit more real-life depth than Jefferson, who was more of a cartoon character. Still, Jefferson was alright.
I also have a NO'MAAM t-shirt and a 33 Polk High t-shirt. Naitch, you better get used to Mrs. Naitch throwing away your stuff, making you miserable and basically Peggy Bundy'ing you until the day you die after you two get married... then have children.
In a few years time you'll be walking around the house in your underwear singing

I have the No Maam shirt too! I wear it every so often around the house. I wore it on Super Bowl Sunday this year
I agree that Steve didn't get the credit he deserved. But Jefferson couldn't have a been a better replacement on that show

I couldn't find a clip on youtube, but one of my favourite Al moments was an episode where he had had a rotten night with the family and when they get home he just slumps on the couch and zones out. Peg tries talking to him but he has simply lost it and is staring ahead at the TV. On the TV, in Al's mind at least, is Al being interviewed on some sports show talking about how great he is. While on the couch Al is sitting there watching himself with a vacant, slightly sinister smile. It was so funny to see him actually go over the edge for a moment.

I've watched a lot of sitcoms, Married With Children was definitely one of the best.
A few years back ITV2? 3? 4? was showing episodes at 8PM, but it never seems to be on any more. Meanwhile Channel 4/E4 are continuously showing that show with the friends - that show killed sitcoms, they all try to be like that show and it makes me want to puke.

V, you are obviously watching the wrong sitcoms. Theres some really good ones. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia comes to mind pretty quickly. Its a very dark comedy about 4 twenty somethings running a bar that doesn't make money. Danny DeVito plays the father of two of them and he pretty funny in it.

Yeah, Bob Rooney was an idiot. It was funny how they always called him by his full name. It was never just Bob. I wonder if he is still lost in Al's walls.

all of his friends were great. I loved when he started hanging out with Officer Dan. Dan must have arrested him like 5 times before they became friends too. Then he brings Al on an episode of Cops
