so this happened: www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/330192And apparently TNA might be done come October. The story I'm reading is that Spike TV told Dixie not to hire Russo under any circumstances. So Dixie hired him "secretly", and Russo blew the ruse by CC'ing the wrong dude in an email. If that is what causes TNA to die, then I really can't think of a more TNA-ish way to end. I don't really know what to make of this all yet.

They have like 2.5 months to find a new network. If I was a gambling man I would bet they get a deal with Fox Sports. It's not like anyone is paying attention to that network right now. Also Dixie has been tweeting that TNA and Spike are in negotiations, we'll see if it bites it or not. I may not watch them currently, but I'm rooting for them to survive so they can pay some wrestlers.

I kind of wish a smart business man with money, that's not Vince McMahon would buy this company and run it right. I miss having competition and I feel bad for the tna roster too for being so loyal to a bag of dog shit.
And that's hilarious V. What a "tna" thing to happen to tna

Yeah, I've read that things are looking bleak for TNA, but they have hung on for over a decade already and I'm expecting them to somehow find a way to carry on. If they do continue, then hopefully they see this as a stark wake up call to cut all the crap and start doing the basics again. Wrestling on a wrestling show would be a good place to start.

With a move to Wednesday nights, starting tonight, here is a chance for rating to not necessarily go up but not fucking die during Football season, which starts in two weeks.

I'm just sick of them re-recycling the same shit over and over AND OVER.
Hey, ECW was a great little era. Even the wwecw ressurection with the ONS ppvs was nice and nostalgic and made for some fun feuds from 06-08. But Jesus Christ, its 2014 and the dudleys, tommy dreamer, taz, rhyno, and al snow are still taking over a NYC arena.
The NWO was a great angle from 96-98 that ALMOST put wwe out of business, but look at the ultimate end result. Yet tna still continues to do this fucking power struggle angle over and over like it's going to revolutionize wrestling again one day. They're just do god damn uncreative.
Then somehow, that turns into impact being ABOUT a show that's going through a power struggle(perfect V point, a show about a wrestling company).
I can go on and on about this stupid company and what they're not doing right. There was a time they seemed to be on to something and just completely fell apart. It was pretty good before hogan got there with the main event mafia stuff. The earlier stuff with the paparazzi stuff with Shelly and Nash was pure gold flying under the radar. Then even when hogan was running the company it wasn't horrible. But since he left, that's when everything fell to shit. It's like hogan and Bischoff leave a curse wherever they flail their dicks

Bro, totally agree, this ECW and NWO and even authority figures all have to go away. When it comes to the ECW guys the only one worth my time is Bully Ray. He makes me feel something more than what a washed up fuck.
The NWO thing, I swear at this time TNA has done NWO more than WCW has. At least at this time WWE has the sense to make the NWO a joke at Hogan's Birthday Celebrations.
Do you know what TNA needs for an authority figure? A Jack Tunney shows rip off. He shows up like twice a month just to update us on the next PPV, or what they are going to do for a special TV main event. The announcers can pass messages to the fans for the most part and we can pretend that wrestlers have phones capable of receiving text messages.

What made it even worse is they were referring to snitsky and ryklon(Ezekiel) as former ECW stars. Then they actually reminded us that Ezekiel was the last ECW champion.
First of all, anyone that wrestled in WWEcw, that wasn't a tna original, don't refer to them as a former ECW star because that totally doesn't count. Second, who the fuck even cares to remember that Ezekiel Jackson was ECW champion the final 2 minutes WWEcw was on the air? That kind of shit goes to show how desperate Dixie is. She actually has to reference wwe history that's even too irrelevant for wwe themselves to ever bring up!
Ok, you're in a Brooklyn arena. You have 5 former ECW originals in the arena. I can totally understand why you'd want to maybe do a tribute segment to them for the fans and the nostalgia. But to make the sole focus of the few shows they had be about ECW, and even worse, WWEcw, this is why TNA sucks in a nutshell. While they're at it, why don't they bring in ravens flock and have them do a 2 hour invasion for 3 weeks straight? They may as well at this point

That kind of shit goes to show how desperate Dixie is. She actually has to reference wwe history that's even too irrelevant for wwe themselves to ever bring up! To be fair, I think that was deliberate. Dixie - the character - was taking the piss out of ECW by bringing in two stars of the knock-off WWE version. Kinda like how Foley reference Stephanie being a great ECW original (or whatever it was he said) at the One Night Stand PPV.

So it's the middle of November, TNA has exactly one more taped Impact in the bank (airing on Wednesday), no more TV tapings scheduled, and no announced TV deal.
I'm starting to think this might really be it. I mean, sure, they might pull something out of a hat and end up on a network that only people in Alaska and New Mexico can tune into, but even if that happens they would surely have to sell off all their expensive parts (what they have left) and downsize. Give it another six months and they might just have to pack it in. They'll basically be an Indie with a shitty TV deal and the stink of being TNA. Their days as a de facto #2 company would be over, surely?

I read a couple of days ago that they did actually sign on with another channel. Can't remember the name but it's probably a US equivalent to Challenge or something similar, but they won't be airing again on this new channel until January. So it's not good for them, but come January they will be producing shows again on some nothing channel that most people don't even know about.

Yeah, that happened a couple days after I posted that, lol. Typical TNA. I'm still not convinced they are a viable long-term proposition, but I guess we'll see what the reboot look likes.

The channel is Destination America. After looking at what they currently offer in programming, it looks like it's mostly shows of fat dudes reviewing fast food joints.I'm slightly exaggerating but not really that much.

I almost feel bad for TNA. They're like the brain dead car crash victim that close relatives refuse to take off of life support.

They've got TV Tapings scheduled now. January 7th is a Wednesday, there are rumblings that they might be kicking off with a live show:
