Happy Birthday you don't give a shit about. I'm also in that same boat.

Happy bday holmes!
Actually, my bdays kind of mattered to me til I was in my mid 20s because I used to look so young for my age and I couldn't grow a beard til I was 23-24. Plus I always hung out with people older than me. So when I was 20, 21, 22 I wanted to be older so I can seem more mature and get more chicks at a wider age range and fit in with the older crowd better.
I would say 26 - 29 didn't mean much to me. I just knew I was getting closer to 30. 30 was kind of a big deal and 31 was interesting because I was officially in my 30s.
BUT, I have to say, my last birthday when I hit 32, I totally forgot it was even coming. That's the bday and age I can honestly say truly didn't mean a damn thing to me at all. I'll be 33 in August and I feel the same way about that too.

I've never really cared about my birthday. I just don't see what the fuss is. Believing birthdays should be a big deal is the same as believing in Santa. You should have grown out of that shit years ago.
I tell people it's on February 30th. You'd be surprised how many people fall for that.

My thing was never the actual birthday itself. It was more of the age I was turning that I looked at with more importance than I should've. As far as the actual birthday day itself, I stopped giving a fuck in my teens. Even my 21st bday, people were asking me if I was going to have a big celebration and I said, yeah, I'm going to buy a beer with my own ID. That's all I gave a shit about lol. I didn't do dick for any of my big bdays
It's funny, the women in my family make such a big deal about their birthdays...who called them that day, how people treated them that day, who took them out to dinner, who didn't, yada yada. My father and I are the complete opposite. We just want to be left the fuck alone

I tell people it's on February 30th. That's the kind of thing CM Punk would say to people while rolling his eyes and expecting someone to laugh at his wittiness. I don't consider birthdays to be a big deal either, it's just this year it didn't even register with me in the slightest. It was only a couple of days beforehand that I realised it was coming up and I don't think I once thought "It's my birthday today" during the actual day. Hey, it's Pancake Tuesday in a couple of day, though. Can't wait!

By the way, how are you all handling the big storm over there? Hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.

I think it's going to be a couple of days before we hear from Champ. New York got storm fucked pretty good. But you know that, that statement was more for the people that might not know that.
But yeah, like V said, hope you guys are pulling through this well.

Yeah, hope everything is OK. I actually checked the news in the Yonkers area of New York this morning with Champ in mind. It seems the power got cut to a lot of homes there.

Hopefully the power comes back soon for them. You can heat your house during the day pretty easily just with windows and lifting the blinds. It's the night that sucks. Since he lives in an apartment I don't think he has an alternate way of heating his place, unless they have purchased space heaters in the past. He's probably having a great time right now beating his family in a game of spades right now or a terrible time and they aren't even speaking. There are no in betweens once mother nature makes you Amish.

I got internet porn back!! lol
Thanks for your concerns. I was without cable and internet since Monday night but I never lost power. My building was lucky because almost everyone lost power.
I was out of work for a week because my job had no power and we couldn't even get the electronic gate open to even get in the store. I just went back there yesterday
Now we have a gas shortage and people have to wait on line for blocks with police directing the cars into the gas stations because only a handful of gas stations got gas deliveries and we've been limited to $20 - 25 once we get to the pump. Again, I got super lucky because there's a gas station literally 2 buildings over from me and all I had to do was just turn onto the block after getting in my car and I got gas in 15 minutes. But I had to pay $4.43 a gallon. It's fuckin crazy!
But yeah, we totally got F5'd. I still have friends without power or gas in their cars to get to work

But now I owe Mastersnit $5
Seriously, good to hear. It might be rough at the moment but at least you're on the road back to being non-Amish.

Oh, and V, it was a £5 bet. Don't try to rip me off!

So Champ didn't even turn Amish. It's more like the storm rolled him into the 1980s but without TV.

Yeah, I'm picturing Champ sitting there with a faded old Ramones t-shirt, ripped jeans, looking longingly out of the window in a state of sadness because he just got Back to the Future on VHS but obviously can't watch it on his cupboard sized TV because the power is still out. Later giving up hope on his dreams for electricity and retrieving one of the Playboys from under his mattress to read before the sun goes down.
