I don't hate the english for being english. There are some things about the place that bugs me though, especially the thingyney language and slang. Ugh! Have you guys heard of a popular TV show over here called Eastenders? It's about people in the east end of London, I can't bare to watch it because I simply can't listen to them talk! I live 50 miles from London, can't stand the place. I've been maybe three or four times. Eastenders blows. Its viewing figures are more like 8-9m now rather than half the country. Maybe 1% of the country speaks like that. Thank god. As for the French, was the answer you were looking for "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

The only exception I have for not listening to c o ckneys is if I'm watching Only Fools and Horses. I've been to London once, quite a while ago, and I don't really have any desire to go back either unless I have to. Honestly, I'd much rather listen to a drunk glaswegian tripping over his words than a c o ckney slowly expaining E=mc2.
As for the french, yeah, something like that, lol.

No. Not really.
About 8 or 9 years ago I was in Glasgow for a badminton tournament(I know, I'm gay) and I popped out to go to a local shop to buy something to eat, I also purchased a dirty magazine but that is irrelevant. As I'm walking up to the entrance there was about 5 or 6 guys just standing about drinking the cheapest booze available, it was about 11.30 but they already seemed drunk, and they just looked at me and said, "Alrite wee man, what team do ya support?!". They were looking for one of two answers and if I had got it wrong I would have been in deep s h it. I just said I didn't watch football and walked past them. It amazed me though that all the everyday glaswegian seemed to care about was get wrecked and supporting their football team while hating the other.

ah, there's people like that in every town in Britain. Drunk tramps used to congregate on the bench on the street outside my house. I came home from work last summer, there was one asleep on my front yard. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle ~ as long as he wasn't causing a nuisance ~ I just left him there. Let the other people in my building sort it out if they cared. Also, I support Reading FC... but I keep quiet that my real team is Oxford Utd. Seeing as they're in the Conference, it doesn't usually come up. I'm not really a very big football fan. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

The French don't wash. They're snobby. They don't wash. They eat smelly cheese and drink wine and smoke. They think their food is so good that they only have to give you bite size portions. Oh yeah and they don't wash.

Lol. I've had a few drunken visitors, too. One time a shed in my back garden was broken into during the night. Nothing was stolen, but there was about 50 empty beer bottles just lying there in the morning.
I think I mentioned it before we moved here, but I think your team, Reading, are going down this year.
